As friendly as they may be, I was disappointed that they didn’t honor their claim: «Fresh Snap-​On inventory! Stop by and pay half of retail, so you can use the money you saved on fun things!!» I was ready to purchase but was told no with no chance of even getting close. Particular tool retailed for $ 350.00, I mentioned their post on Facebook about paying half retail and said that I am ready to pay $ 175, they instantly said no. Also, they listed on Craigslist for cheaper than what he said it cost over the phone, which was $ 299.00. May as well buy new.

Nice people, very honest, have sold a few times here and actually don’t feel ripped off when I sell. Very friendly and give you what you deserve. I will be back.

Wandered in here randomly and happened upon the PERFECT engagement ring for a REALLY great price! Friendly, helpful, patient employees… and they held the ring for me (for 24hrs) for free and I left it to my beau to release the hold or purchase it… Four months later we’re engaged and I look at my ring and am SO HAPPY I came across this place! Not very many shops will have ½ carat diamonds for $ 500. Thanks A Cut Above!

I buy and sell firearms online occasionally. A Cut Above Pawn is federally licensed to transfer firearms. (FFL) They’re quick, efficient, super friendly, and their fees are very reasonable. They’re definitely my go-​to FFL.

Went to «the other» local well known pawn shop before coming to see the staff at «A Cut Above» and was totally disappointed (messy store that looked more like someone’s garage). A Cut Above was the second place on my list to check out and it will now be the ONLY place I go and recommend to friends & family! The staff was so awesome to me and the quality of the store and items was top notch. Keep it up guys!

I brought in two 22k gold necklace and the person that helped me tested it. Told me 18k and will buy it for $ 20/​gram; total $ 400. I took my jewelry and took it somewhere else where they bought more than what this place offering me. I don’t trust this place.

Courteous and helpful service, I used them for a firearms transfer. I received a call as soon as my handgun came in. Really appreciate them waiting for the customer to arrive and letting me cut open the shipping box. While there I spotted a nice leather holster which fit my pistol perfectly, all around a good experience. The counter guy was friendly and efficient and the transfer fee was lower than other places I’ve been. I will definitely be using A Cut Above Pawn for my future firearm transactions.

I have been using cut above for years now I love going there I am always met by friendly people the owner John is an amazing person and is more than willing to work with you on most anything I’ve never had any problems and even bought recently my engagement ring from them I will definitely be returning to this place often there is so much good cheap stuff you can find there and they cut deals with you if you are regular customer great place five stars all the way!!!

Was welcomed right off the back by the gorgeous red head gal. After looking around and checking out the gun collection along with assortment of tools. The place was extremely friendly and well organized I’ll surely return when I can to see what they get later on

The store was neat, the staff was pretty respectful, and I was given a fairly decent amount for some unwanted jewelry. There were some seedy characters in there, but it’s not in an incredibly horrible part of town so they were probably harmless. I would definitely go here again if I had more things to sell or wanted to buy something.

Steve was super helpful! He made us a good deal and took the time to show us some stuff we were interested in even though he knew we weren’t buying anything. We will be back and I would highly recommend them.

I have a love/​hate relationship with this pawn shop.
I LOVE it because the service is friendly, their items are fairly priced, and the place just absolutely screams cleanliness. I always have a good experience when I come to this pawn shop.
I HATE this place because I always find something I like but I don’t always have the money to buy it! The guitars are beautiful and they take good care of all there merchandise.
I wish I could come here more often but my girlfriend’s 5-​year-​old daughter has taken a liking to their massive gun collection… hm…

This is the best pawn shop on the West side. John and Stephanie are professional, polite and care about their customers.

The best pawn shop in town, very friendly people, very easy transactions. Always willing to help you out with loans. There prices are perfect, because they buy very good products to sell. You pay what you get for, and I always shop here, and I get great deals. I love the items I buy here, and they always negotiate on prices. Best pawn shop in Oregon love them.

This place went under new management back in October. It was much nicer looking than most pawn shops I’ve seen. The owners were super friendly and greeted me immediately. I brought in a pair of earrings, a pendant, and a ring. I was surprised how much I was able to sell them for. They were friendly and fair. I will definitely send my friends here.

Prices are too high for the items I looked at. Maybe that is their starting point I don’t know, but when I see prices like that I don’t even try to bargain. I saw used rifles there that I could buy cheaper brand new elsewhere. Handguns and ammo prices are higher everywhere but even moreso here.

This pawn store sits next to one of my favorite doughnut shops. It is small but every wall from floor to ceiling is filled with merchandise. I haven’t bought anything from this store yet but I have been in enough pawn shops to appreciate organization. For all the stuff that it had, I didn’t think it was cluttered.
I came in to get a small loan. The service was thorough. I like that they wrote down the names of my games. Most places just check the box to make sure the game is in there. The person who helped me was… silent. A «Hello» or even a «How can I help you?» would have been nice. Instead the only indicator that I knew he was available to help was the universal semi-​thrust/​nod of the chin in acknowledgement of my presence. Once done, he did tell me how much he could give me right after asking me how much I was looking for. It was a little less than I was shooting for but that’s fine.
Again I have to put in a word about organization. I don’t know how it is internally but from the POV of an outsider looking in, it seemed like a pretty smooth operation. In my previous experiences with other pawn shops, when I come to redeem my item, it takes a while for them to find my things. Why? I don’t know. A logical person would think that with so much merchandise coming in to the store, a business would have an effective way of cataloging and finding all that stuff in a timely manner. Suffice it to say, I was prepared to wait longer than five minutes for my small stack of games to be found. I had time to browse one jewelry case before I noticed a bag of my games sitting on the counter. Again, a simple «Here you go!» would have been nice followed by an audible (not a mumble) of «Have a good night» to end the nearly silent exchange.
I know I’m in a pawn shop and I know you guys see a whole host of crazies. I know that in your day might be hard, depending on the kind of crazy that you had to deal with. But it wouldn’t hurt to at least pretend you want to help me? I’m not crazy, I swear.

wasn’t really impressed. Smaller than I thought and WAY more expensive than it should have been. Someone really needs some info on how to price used golf equipment, the prices were ridiculous.
