Coffee drinks are great here! They use a high quality roasted bean that is mild yet flavorful. Environment allows for chatter and livelihood yet you can study here if you please. Wi-fi is plentiful for all of the guests.

Needed a place to study for a bit and decided I’d give this place a shot. I was not disappointed! There mocha is very good(little on the pricy end) but the atmosphere, scenery and outdoor patio make up for it. Definitely will be back soon.

So what happened here? Last year, their coffee was amazing. The frozen hot chocolate was a decadent, whipped cream-topped treat. This year? Burnt, overly strong coffee. Watery, barely sweet frozen hot chocolate. Not a squirt of whipped cream in sight on the iced coffee or the frozen hot chocolate. Is it new management or a clueless employee? We won’t be going back, which is a real shame. Ava Roasteria used to be wonderful, and the location is stunning. But … yikes. Talk about a sharp drop in quality.

The was coffee good and had a cranberry turkey sandwich. Love the outdoor seating area overlooking the lake and hear the sounds of the kids playing in the fountain next door.

Has a nice outdoor space to come and get work done. They offer coffee, teas, smoothies and pastries. The service is great. Overall a nice coffee shop to have in the neighborhood.

Love their coffee! They roast on site. Amazing concept. It’s a beautiful location. I love getting their lattes and especially their chocolate lattes as they melt chocolate. Their sandwiches are very tasty. Pasties are delicious! I wish they had Ava’s in So Cal!

The place a very clean and the employees are very respectful. I have worked in the coffee industry for a very long time so it’s just habit to watch other people make my coffee when I myself is not making it. Everything the lady did was not done properly. I believe she got the concept but didn’t know exactly what she was doing. For one she was not cleaning off her steam wands after every drink which means she’s serving old milk to everyone she serves. She also put way more than an ounce of espresso in my drink. And once I tried to give her friendly advice about her barista training she didn’t really know what I was talking about. So I would say that if your going to make coffee you should know exactly wast your doing. I actually had to throw away my $ 4 beverage because it tastes like an over extracted, old milk beverage. Please be aware to what you are serving to customers

Chocolate cake is good. It’s moist and the layers are just perfect. Makes a good pair with Spanish cream latter too! :) Staff are friendly and the ambiance is cozy. And they are open 24hours daily! :-)

Something is off with their hot espresso drinks. I’ve been here many times the pat few years, and I’ve never had a good hot drink. Iced are fine. I don’t know if it’s the espresso machine, the flavoring a they use, Ava’s not having a method recipe or the untrained barista. It’s either burnt, rancid or a funny aftertaste. The pastries and cakes are good, and you can always order tea.

Came here to kick start my Monday morning, where shall I start. 1. Walked in and my order was took from a young lady who was so miserable that you could tell she did not want to be there. 2. Coffee came first which tasted burnt. 3. Food came out next, we had ordered a bagel with cheese and tomato, the bagel duly arrived but with egg too. I explained to the young lady I did not want the egg and she just gazed at me not saying a word. I repeated myself and she told me I would have to re-order. 4. I was not going to repay for something that they got wrong and at that point I decided it was not even worth the risk re-ordering, especially since she had a face like a slapped arse. I have been to Ava many times at the downtown beaverton location which is great, But what happened today as put me off all of them.

This is a great place to get together with friends, do paperwork, or study. Free Wi-Fi and the coffee sure does the trick. Beautiful location in Progress Ridge with a patio right on the water. This place gets packed during the evening so I like to come during the day time especially if I’m going to need to plug in my laptop as the outlets are limited. Service is friendly and pastry items are good. I recently tried a turkey and aged cheddar sandwich today and I enjoyed it. Overall happy to have this spot next to my house.

Visited 2x in 2 days! Both times I ordered a Cappuccino. The first time it was nice and strong with a lot of foam, but the second time it was pretty weak. I’ll give it another try. Wifi connection was strong enough for me to stream videos and both visits were during high-traffic times. The music is a bit too loud for my liking but really wasn’t too much of an issue. Tables NEVER get wiped down, but everything else is pretty well maintained.

Typical chain feel. Coffee is watery. Staff nice. Store is nice but another unit with no personality. You might like the coffee because it’s such a personal taste, this one reminds me of Denny’s coffee with a smidgen more depth. Not my cup of coffee. Sorry

The latte’s all right, and perhaps a tad expensive for the quality. Still, a nice place to chill and work or meet up with a friend! And honestly I think it’s better than Starbucks. So I’m not complaining. This coffee shop is also in a fantastic location.

Update: The Internet here is very slow as I’ve stated below but I’m here now and it’s completely dead. People with laptops are asking about it and a few people have had to pack up and leave. This has happened to me at the Hall location before as well. Keep this in mind if you will be using wifi for your work I have not had their coffee as I tend to come later at night to study and opt for tea instead. The tea is fine, comes from a tea bag but beware of the temperature. They have their water insanely hot so be very careful. This place gets packed with people studying or meeting up and even though the place is very large you might find yourself seatless. This place is open 24 hours which is great. There arnt many places to go to late in the night where you can get some work done or have a late night coffee or tea with friends. The wifi is free but dreadfully slow. They see a lot of traffic in 24 hours so it gets pretty messy. The floors I saw were very grimy and unkept. I usually set my bag on the floor without a care but I actually caught myself putting my bag on the table my last visit. Peering outside I also saw the outside seating areas floors were very unkept. You bus your own table here so it wasn’t too surprising that when I got to my table it was dirty from the last person. I understand how busy the workers are and potentially understaffed but it would be nice to see a cleaner kept establishment considering nice it looks as well as the views it delivers. I’ll still come back of course. It’s just about the only place on the west side that offers 24 hour service.

Average coffee and food. Unprofessional(rude) baristas. Ordered a latte, tasted like dirt and barista’s(«TJ») response«you ordered it, deal with it!». What a shame. Great location but some people just refuse to show up for work and earning customer satisfaction. I suggest the owner pack and leave or charge for Wifi to learn why some people even care to hang out here. .oh, and insider info… coffee is not fresh roasted as they claim, roasted beans delivered by a famous corporate coffee company(hint hint).

Stopped in on Sunday for Italian cream sodas on this beautiful warm day in Beaverton! Love coffee shops/cafes that aren’t big chains. You know what I mean. :) One of the yummiest Italian cream sodas I’ve ever had. We tried Raspberry, Peach, Cherry and Lime. All flavors were amazeballs. Cashier was friendly and our barista was fast! We also picked up some ‘Zu-‘Zu twists(half doz for about ~$ 2.50) which were like a flakey, pastry-like twist; simple, tasty, and a Canoli(~$ 4) dark choco covered, big bad boy. I thought these would be flakier but I’ve never had one before, so who knows. The cream that filled the canoli was light and not too sweet. The more I ate it, the more I enjoyed it. Two thumbs up!

After being notified about the 30 minute wait at La Provence sunday morning we decided to hit up our 2nd option, Ava’s. My girlfriend and I met here so it is kinda special to us. We were both disappointed. I have some concerns with them being able to survive especially with La Provence going in. The problem I have with Ava’s is that they make the customers do 90% of the work and for a very average product yet they charge restaurant prices. We ordered a bagel with cream cheese, a small sandwich that we split, and a naked fruit smoothie drink. nearly $ 20. The sandwich isnt even accompanied by anything. No chips, no greens, nothing. At ava’s: * you order at the counter * you have to walk up when you think your food is ready because they dont call your name and they definitely do not walk it out to you. * you bus your own table. SERIOUSLY??? I understand that La Provence is a restaurant and Ava’s is a coffee shop that sells food. However, when a place like La Provence opens their doors, that would be a golden opportunity to make the necessary adjustments. La Provence’s over flow crowd might actually benefit you as long as you do not disappoint them as was the case with us. We most likely wont return as long as things are the way they currently are. I think it would add a nice touch to at least run the food out to the customer, update/change prices, and spruce up the menu to make it more attractive and more of a value.
