This is a great spot on the weekends. For whatever reason we end up here on Sunday mornings, the only trick is you must come very early Sunday morning to avoid the masses of people that come on about 10 or 11am. Good is always good basic food, nothing too out of the ordinary but nothing bad at all. If you want basic quality breakfast food fast, this is your spot. My step son wants you to know that they were out of chocolate chips when we went, his favorite here is the chocolate chip pancakes(can you tell?). There is a healthy menu option which is nice. They also refill water and coffee very often and I really appreciate that as I consume coffee like water. If you’re in the area and need basic quick breakfast food, try this out! Just avoid 11am on Sunday’s if you can.

My local go-to for breakfast for a while. Can’t say I love everything(the hash felt odd… Meat felt deep fried instead of the potatoes), but I really enjoy a number of things. Their black oak sausage is rich, complex, and flavorful. Their waffles have that perfect crispy outside with some chewy middle. Friendly servers, and plenty of extra help to let them do their job(bussers, drink refillers, cashier, table seater). Yes they get busy. But they get people through that want to, or you can sit with your coffee and use their(working!?) wifi. I’ve started caring recently and it amazes me how unusable so many other’s are(I’m looking at you McMenamins and Panera).

Great food but sorely understaffed and lacks ample seating capacity for weekend business. Expect long waits if you arrive at or after 10:30 am on the weekend. Not enough off street parking on weekends even though it is the only business open in that business complex.

I went here with my friend and the food was not very well cooked. Also, they charged her card extra for a fee that was not explicitly announced. Probably will not return to give Biscuits another chance.

I’m always happy to try out new breakfast spots as I work the early shift at work, so when I heard there’s a hidden biscuit spot nearby I jumped to try it out. Being the name of the place had biscuit in it’s name, I went for it. Biscuit & Gravy with two eggs over medium and bacon. Now, the last place I ate a biscuit and gravy was Pine State Biscuits and if you’ve eaten there, you already know what God-tier expectations I had for this meal. To compare the two would be equivalent to comparing Costco steaks to freakin’ Gordon Ramsay. The biscuit was dry and the gravy may have come from a can. The eggs were runny and the bacon was very dull. It didn’t help that among the 30+ seats, they put me in the middle of two tables with kids. I tried to concentrate on Robert Smith’s the Cure playing«It’s Friday, I’m in love» but alas it was only Monday and that just made me even sadder.

I just moved to this area and every time I passed this restaurant, I alwasy see a long line. I thought to myself, this must be a very good place. And finally today I have a chance to come here with my family. But what a crap, I should read the review from Unilocal first before I came here. The food was totally a mess. I order a breakfast for my kid, pancake, scramble egg and home made potato. The pancake was mediocre, for the place call«biscuit», I really wish you have a pancake better than this. My kids not even want to finish it. And the so called«home made potato», the taste was bitter and wayyy overly cooked. I’m not even can eat it. Not only that, they’ll kill you with they price too. I’ll never recommended this place. We’ll not come back.

If the name of your establishment has«biscuits» in it, that better be your best dish. I got the biscuits and gravy and was sorely disappointed. The biscuits weren’t all the way cooked, and doughy on this inside. The gravy wasn’t «country» style at all, as some touted. The hash browns also weren’t cooked all the way and had a strange oily taste. Also all the food was room temperature and clearly just prepared, not cooked. For waiting in line 20 mins and paying $ 9 for a plate of inedible and uncooked food, I’m sorely disappointed.

I’ve been in 4 or 5 times now, and will continue to come back, but you’ve gotta know what to avoid. Bad stuff up front: My first assumption about this place is that the biscuits and gravy would be the bee’s knees. I mean, it’s called«Biscuits» for cryin’ out loud. But, sadly, the biscuits suck. They might be homemade, but they don’t seem like it. Maybe too much time under a warmer or something? And the gravy was just pretty bland. Definitely needed more sausage. I read a different review that said the omelettes were lame, so I haven’t even tried them. I found the chicken and waffle to be pretty bland as well, but maybe I’m just not a chicken and waffle kind of guy. I’d never ordered it before and frankly I don’t know what compelled me to try it. On to the good: The coffee is good and mugs are huge. That goes a long way for this Navy veteran. Granted, last time I went I was never offered a refill, but I just walked over to the coffee pot and waited for someone to come buy. They were busy and I didn’t mind taking a few steps. I actually really enjoy the breakfast burrito. I recommend extra sour cream. The eggs benedict have been quite good as well, though slightly overcooked. One of the waitresses looks almost identical to the woman(Sophie Turner) who plays Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones. That alone isn’t a good reason to visit, but it’s interesting nonetheless, and she’s super nice. You can tell your party on the way to Breakfast that you have a feeling you’re going to meet someone famous and then claim that you were *THAT* close to being right. With all that said, while I will not sing praises for the entire menu, the coffee and that darn burrito are enough to keep me coming back from time to time.

4 stars for the Cornbeef! It was homemade and chunky, just how I like it! 3 stars for service. We came in with a party 6 on a Sunday morning around 10am, and no wait! That’s a plus, but the place was packed. Our server seemed pissed off from the beginning. When we asked for water she seemed pissed off, when we asked for silverware she seemed pissed off and when we asked for napkins she seemed pissed off! The«specialty» coffees are one click machine made, not good and the biscuits were dry. But that Cornbeef is a winner!!!

Terrific food, bellies full and pleased. That said, Ibrahim was our waiter and ignored us after the food was brought, and not by him. Enjoy your paltry tip, Ibrahim. Attentiveness to patrons after they sit down is valued.

I’m really writing this review as a plea because there aren’t ANY vegan friendly breakfast spots on the West side that I can find. I had occasion to be on the West side for breakfast and we wanted to go for some grub, so I decided to make do with my dining companion’s selection. Whatever kind of coffee they serve is really good. I enjoyed it thoroughly just black, but I don’t think they had any non-dairy milk options, just those nasty chemical flavored non-dairy creamer things. I had the hash browns(confirmed cooked in oil) and some plain toast with marionberry jam. My hash browns were a little mushy, but edible with ketchup. Their thick sourdough bread with freezer jam is delicious and you can buy containers of it at the register. Our waiter was nice and tried to be helpful with my questions, but he kind of had a look of terror when I mentioned that I was vegan and asked if there was anything I couldn’t see on the menu. It would be SO easy and cheap to add tofu as an option for scrambles so vegans could have something to eat here. Maybe add a vegan pancake batter to the menu as well? C’mon Biscuits! There are lots of vegans on the West side. You are missing a whole customer base and business opportunity here.

We arrived Thursday, 11:50. No wait time. Greeted at the door. No not really greeted. I asked to sit outside and that there will be 3 of us. I was handed menus and told to pick a table outside and someone would be right out. I picked a table across from the patio door and waited for my daughters, 23 and 26. Same server came out and ask what to drink. «3 waters please». He brought one and when my 2 daughters sat down he asked again. He brought 3 more waters. ??? As we looked at the menus he came to set a ice tea down on our table meant for the on next to us. He seemed confused. In another few minutes he came with 3 cokes to our table… Now, really! Are you seriously that oblivious. It was 18 minutes from the time we sat down till someone came to take our order. This was after two other tables, that came in after us, were attended to. I really started to pay attention then. Our food arrived at 12:37. 47 minutes. My daughter’s Fiesta salad, priced over $ 10 was not much more than ice berg. I don’t think she ate half. My younger daughter and I split the California Club and the Almond Crusted French Toast. The club was good. The side salad all ice berg, vinaigrette was not bad. The French toast was 3 stars. As we sat, I watched the man that gave me the menus and brought water, ice tea and cokes. He was cleaning off tables pushing a cart which had a dishpan full of dirty water for silverware. This water was sloshing everywhere, getting on the ground and on his work pants as he throw the silverware in to this bin from two feet away. As he pasts me I felt a splash on my leg. As he came back around our table my daughter got it too. She only mentioned after we got in the car that it actually got in her mouth as she was talking. That would mean it was getting on tables and possibly customers plates. I was furious !!!

Tried this place for lunch, sat on the patio to avoid a wait. The patio was nice, next to road so there was a lot of car traffic. The food was average breakfast food, nothing special and the prices were reasonable as well.

This is my first review on Unilocal.I normally would never consider doing anything like this, but this place really rubbed me the wrong way today. I took the effort to complain. It sucked so bad i downloaded the app, made an account and complained. My visit goes as follows: I showed up on a Sunday morning with a party of 5. There was a wait. Completely understandable. We finally got inside to a table that wasn’t really made to accommodate 5, but at least we would eventually get some solid food, right? No. Not at all. I’m not good at writing crafty reviews. I’m better with lists. Pros: The coffee was pretty decent. The bathrooms were really clean. The host was bussing tables like a boss, seating people, and the wait time were incredibly accurate. Cons: We weren’t presented with enough silverware. No child’s menu was presented until asked(we have a 3 year old) The biscuits and gravy were awful. It kind of tasted like a pizza. There was minimal sausage in the mixture. My friend next to me ordered steak and eggs. Pretty sure that were nuked in a microwave. He had the option of how he would like it cooked. He asked for medium. He got well done. We had to wait for another plate. When the second plate was brought, the waitress was incredibly rude about it. The home fries weren’t done(red potatoes as they referred to them?) Bisquick pancakes your grandmother forces on you taste better than this establishments. McDonald’s also has better eggs. I’m not kidding. For crap breakfast food, I was pissed at how much i paid. I have this place two stars because of the host seating people. He did more than what was expected of him and provided a solid service to us. Everyone else can get bent. Don’t waste you time or money here.

Yummy breakfast/brunch that’s closer than driving out east to Portland! *The Chicken Fried Chicken was delicious, almost as good as Gravy’s. *My boyfriend got the Country gravy omelette and he said it was one of the best breakfasts he had. *The fresh, warm biscuits were so buttery and soft and went great with the strawberry jelly. I guess I’ve never had a real biscuit until I came here! The two of us got seated right when we walked in, and it was pretty busy for a weekend at 10am. Totally recommend if you don’t want to drive out to Portland for good breakfast.

Grossest gravy I have ever had. :( Took forever just to be acknowledged at the entrance and once seated. Will not be returning, unfortunately.

The most important thing they do well here is the coffee, which is their own custom roast. The food is competent typical American café fare. The burgers are pretty good. Salads could be better. The lettuce is at least not iceberg, and there are no disgusting fake croutons. The dressings are better than the usual corporate bottled junk, but none are really good. The balsamic is too strong, too sweet, and the blue cheese is watery and bland. All of the meals are too large. I’d like to order a smaller portion especially for breakfast. The worst thing I’ve ordered was Eggs Benedict, which have utterly fake hollandaise. A real shame. So much so I probably won’t ever go back, except for coffee.

So they have okay food. Consistent. Help is great. Cons: So they remodeled this location and it appears that the place couldn’t afford a decent background music system. They use a childs boombox and this is very tinny sounding and gets very annoying after just 5 minutes of being in here. PLEASE, if you read this, install a nice sound system, install some nice speakers and TURNDOWN your poor choice of loud and shrill hair metal music!
