I’ve been going here since I was a kid so my opinion is kida bias, but if you like all you can eat and like to choose your own flavor you can’t beat this place. It can get a little messy at times but that’s just because so many people frequent this location, so sometimes the during dinner and weekends the grill line can get long, but it is always worth the wait. The owners have been in business for a long time so they must be doing something right. Also the staff make a conscious effort to be kind to my children and are always friendly and courteous, and if there not they don’t last long. Great owners I highly recommend this place if you have not gone!

Apparently this one is the original. WHOKNEW??? The older gentleman who was taking care of our section was on point. He made sure we had everything we needed. Their ingredients and cooking options were plentiful. They even had calamari, shrimp, and rice noodles. The seafood wasn’t my favorite, but it was nice to have the option.

While this place is not much to look at from the outside or the inside it is very good food. In this place you get a bowl and fill it with what you want them to stirfry. They have a very wide selection of meats and seafood and an okay selection of vegetables. They you add your sauces and give the bowl for them to cook. The service is pretty good. The wait staff is friendly and comes around enough for you to get what you need but not enough to bother you. Tip: read the sauce recipes above the sauces and try those first before you start experimenting. The recipes are very good and a good place to start making your own suace recipe from. Also: Do not expect to take home extras and be careful of filling up your plate more than you can eat. If you waste a bunch of food then you will get charged extra. Because it is an all you can eat establishment you can not get take home bags.

It’s a very casual place to have meals with friends and families. The best part is you create your own dish with several kinds of meat, veggies and sauce. Whenever I don’t know what I should have for lunch, this place is one of my top 3 to go restaurant. The ice cream is also a must try!

This place is one of the best places to eat in the area! So much fun to watch them cook your meal! Been here a million times and will be a million more!

I’m generally unimpressed by build-your-own-noodle joints, and Mongolian Grill is no exception to that rule. My major issue with this place is that there’s just no good reason to eat here, as there are better authentic Chinese food options in the area. With that said, if you’re really hard up for a bowl of noodles, and you’re a chow mein fan(I’m personally not, but that’s mostly because I grew up in a Chinese household where liking chow mein was akin to treason), the food here is serviceable.

Pretty good food that you can customize to your individual preferences. I feel like the price could be lowered a bit from $ 13.95 though… But I suppose you do get unlimited food so it makes sense.

Price was good. The food was decent for what it is. My only issue was that they took my food while I was eating it and they were pretty rude to us.

Its fun to find your own combinations, full up a bowl or two and see them cook it right there on the grill. My kids had a fun time and I liked that its comparatively healthy :)

Yeah… pass. I recently moved to Portland and it’s hard for me to try Chinese food here, since all of the restaurants around me seem quite sketchy. So I figured why not try Chang’s? It’s close to my apartment and I figured it couldn’t be that bad. I was quite disappointed. Let’s start off with the sauces, they definitely watered down the oyster sauce. I’m pretty sure the sesame oil wasn’t actually sesame oil. The soy sauce was watered down as well. Maybe it’s just me, I’m not sure. The dinner price is definitely not worth it and they are very cheap on their seafood, just look at their shrimp. Also when you’re the only Asian customer in the Asian restaurant, it just feels strange! I definitely won’t be going back!

Changs has been in this area for years, if anyone recalls the old location in the now demolished Tanasbourne Mall that lies in ashes under Target, Best Buy and others stores. I was pleased today as it appears they have started to care about the look. It was getting dingy and nasty looking they have cleaned it up a bit. The exterior still needs so work and landscaping. The food is decent and fun. I enjoy mixing my own food for the grill. The soup has never been good but the rice and pancakes are always fresh. Service has and still present which brings me back.

Good for lunch. If you like any kind of meat, this place is nice. My sons are meat lovers, so they love here. Price is good, too. But, don’t expect a lot.

I’m a big eyeroller. Being the off the charts cynic that I am, I tend to think people are full of… it. Exaggeration is hard to stay away from when you genuinely feel you’ve had a bad experience, I get it. So I ventured into Chang’s II with my husband, excited at the prospect of having one so close to our house. Sadly, we were in for a disappointing experience. While the service was okay, the good stopped there. There’s no crab, which was a negative. The salmon looked almost grey and sad. The interior itself had the unappetizing scent of cleanser, cheap laundry detergent, and the hairspray my grandmother used. The sauces were staggeringly bland. My secret formula I use everywhere with great results may as well have been water. Is it the worst I’ve ever had? No, but I think if that’s the highest compliment you can give, there’s a problem. If you like this place, go to the other Chang’s on Beaverton Highway and you’ll be blown away by how superior it is.

I haven’t been to this location ever but I figured they were all the same, I was very wrong. This particular Chang’s is a bit beat up and I didn’t enjoy our dinning experience too much. Let me say that our waiters customer service was great, he was older but still funny and playful. They kept our water filled and were always asking if we were okay. I was saddened to see super small shrimp because that isn’t stir fry shrimp… In my opinion. The other Chang’s in NE Portland has bigger shrimp. I only ate one plate which isn’t unusual but the taste was just off to me. When you can make better food at home it’s hard to settle for less. I wouldn’t recommend Chang’s to anyone. Happy Unilocaling…

Good place. Very cheap and always liked the food. Good service. For the buffet price, you would even get sides like soup(egg-drop: ok; hot & sour: good), vanilla scoop icecream, and also rice crepes(decent). Lots of meat, veggie choices.

Really friendly and speedy customer service with good food. It’s a little spendy considering the kind of food it is for the weekend but still worth your while. The atmosphere is a little dated, but it won’t stop me from coming back.

I love me some Mongolian BBQ! Chang’s has the formula down, and this location makes it all the better because it’s more modern and much cleaner than the other one in Tigard. The service here is actually really attentive too especially considering it’s mostly a serve yourself place as you’d expect. I do stick to almost exclusively veggies and a little bit of pork sometimes, I don’t recommend the seafood and overall if I had one complaint it would be they could use higher quality better sourced meats and I’d pay extra for organic veg too. Overall it’s tasty and I love getting plate after plate of veg with tasty sauce mixes that I have created.

Chang Mongolian is using sub quality products and watered down sauces. The salmon looks like salmon that I saw after they laid their eggs and fixing to die. They pour water on your food while it’s cooking! I understand they are trying to steam the food, but that washes of the flavors. When I try it at our table. I had drowned it in hoisin sauce and I had to give up after two bites. I didn’t eat my food, but the waitress didn’t even ask why. I didn’t go there to make the food and don’t eat it. I was very hungry.

I’m not sure why the mediocre reviews??? I’m always happy with my choice going here. Let’s all be honest… we are not going here for a gourmet experience, or a feast of authentic Asian food. No… we are going here for a mountain of noodles, slabs of thin sliced meat, and tons of or fav veggies all soaked in our sauces of choice. It can either be we are on a carb and fat cheat day, or going because we can choose to have absolutely NO carbs or fat in our dinner, which is SO easy to do here!!! My reason is usually the latter, as carbs for me are quite a treat when I choose to screw over my healthy eating spree, so when I want carbs I go to an Italian joint. Pasta and bread please. Not rice and sugary sauces. I go all out. Seriously. As for Chang’s, they do a fab job of giving us tons of fresh veggies to choose from. I love that they bring out a bowl, or two, or three of rice and also they give rice paper«pancakes» that works great to fabricate your own little Asian burritos. My daughter goes ballistic for those. The restaurant itself does need some upkeep and more love put into it, that’s my cause for 4 not 5 stars. The carpet is screaming to be replaced!!! :0 It’s kind of cute, the guys that work the grill have been there since forever. I remember getting my then toddler daughter just five noodles and mooshed rice for her here 10yrs ago, now she(my almost teen) takes two trips of bowls full of noodles plus downs a entire bowl of rice and ice cream to boot. All in all a great place to enjoy a fab plate of stir fry. :)
