Firestone Complete Auto Care

When I had to have my car towed after it ran super hot and all the coolant drained out, I decided to have it towed to Firestone in Beaverton, one of two places nearest to me at the time.
I paid to have a cooling system evaluation done to figure out exactly what the issue was and although they couldn’t tell me 100% what the issue was after doing the diagnostic, they were confident that after changing the thermostat and doing a coolant flush (neither had been done in a while, if at all) they would know if it might be something more serious.
Turns out the thermostat was the issue and they even ran the car for a while to ensure it wouldn’t get hot again. The technician who dropped off the part, decided to to replace it there on the spot even thought it was close to closing so I could have picked up by car the same night, within a few hours period!
I had a meeting that night so wasn’t able to pick it up but was so happy to hear the news that not only was it just the thermostat (and they didn’t try to upcharge me a bunch of stuff) but they also had it done so much quicker than I thought it would be done. They also did an oil change for me since I was almost due.
I was really pleased with my experience there, especially since it was kind of an emergency situation. It’s also super convenient since it’s right off the Blue MAX line if you need to leave your car overnight.

Told me I needed a few parts replaced for various reasons (corrosion, leaks, etc.) Took to two shops for second opinions as I hadn’t noticed any leaks or issues, and both shops said none of the repairs were needed (no leaks and parts were in good condition.)
Firestone has certainly lost my trust.

Dan really tries hard to be customer centric. Always goes out of his way. After being told they were busy he called me back apologized and fixed the TPMS for me. Great. They are also knowledgeable and friendly. Will keep coming herr

I would recommend anyone looking to get a tire fixed, oil change, anything… Find another place if possible. My fiancée ran over some glass and it speared his tire right open. I was happy to see this place was open on Sunday; we went here because it was our only option.
The man running the desk is the only positive side of this place. He seems to genuinely care about the customers.
We brought our car in and they said it would take 1.5 hours to check if our tire was repairable or not. We went down the street to a shopping center and came back about 1.5 hours later. The man then said that they were done checking the tire quite some time ago; they just didn’t bother to call us. We had things to do on our Sunday, would’ve liked some notice. The cost for one tire was expected, can’t complain about that. But DO expect to wait here for at least 2 hours for any service. They are extremely slow. I will not go here again.

Worst shop ever been. I haven’t been to a lot auto shop, so maybe it is not the worst one for you. But the manager Dan was so mean and rude! Because I am female? Or because I am Asian, you don’t think I understand English? It was the worst experience I have since I came to US 8 years ago. Good thing is their regional manager contacted me and apologized for their terrible service.

I am not sure about the low rating they have here. Dan and his team have been nothing but friendly, professional, and helpful during each of my visits. I used to be a customer of the location on W Burnside, but after a bad experience, I gave this location a shot. After two initial great experiences (tires an oil/​filter change) I was sold. Always get my oil changed here, as well as new tires for myself and family. Good prices and great service.
My only tip would be to try to make an appointment on the weekends. As everyone should now this is the most busiest time for these places. Thanks again guys!

This was my first time back in about 10 years (first experience was that bad). But I needed a new tire on a Sunday and there weren’t many choices. They didn’t have my tire in stock, but told me that they would have it the following day. They did call me the following day to tell me that it would be Wednesday or Thursday and that they would call me to let me know — no apology. I called late on Wednesday — still didn’t have it and didn’t know when they would — maybe the next day. I called again late on Thursday, again they said that they didn’t have it. After complaining, they actually looked and found that indeed they had it! I had also left instructions that I want the damaged tire returned. They had made a note on my order. When I went in, they had thrown out the tire and had to retrieve it from the dumpster. It’ll be at least another 10 years before I try them again.

Would love it if they carried Michelin tires but everything else about the store was handled honestly and professionally. Wasn’t hustled or pressured when they could have and was impressed with whole experience. Well done.

I took my car in for a rotation. They called me out to the car with a problem. They said I needed a 800.00 repair and I should not drive it home. I drove it for a month before my friend could take a look. The problem had nothing to do with what Firestone had said. Low down dirty a-​holes. Don’t ever trust this place. Dishonest and did it with a smile on there face.

I came to this Firestone for a complete auto inspection and was very pleased with the overall service. The place was very busy and the customers seemed happy. I would definitely go back.

Finally need to get new tires for my car. We priced several locations and Firestone came to be the best price for a good warranty on the tire. They did a good job and were honest about the alignment. We thought it needed one but surprised to see it didn’t.and he even checked it twice to be sure! They even gave me a better discount!
So why not 5 stars? The guy was slow and really should pick up the pace in putting on the tires. Waiting 2 hrs to get the tires on etc was a bit too long.

I’v been here twice now and each time the staff is super helpful, very informative and gave me a quick service. Only had my car in the shop for 2 days, so glad it didn’t take all week!

. Staff was friendly and had no delay so far seems like they did a quality job. Truck drives straight no wobble or shaking felt. They didn’t try to up sell me or sell me additional services which was plus. Lobby has cable tv, wifi and coffee.

I stopped in to get a price for work on my car. When I went to leave, my car would not start due to a dead battery. Even though they were very busy, they worked me in and installed the battery. The price was fine and the service was good.
A lot of negative reviews seem to revolve around time. I observed the employees working hard and they seemed over stretched. Seems like an easy problem to solve.

I went here twice. First to get my Jeep inspected right after I bought it. They did a once over and said they could only find an oil leak, everything else looked great. $ 550 later it was fixed. Sure no biggie. Second time a few weeks later we had a tire leaking air. Was going to be $ 30 to repair. Got it on the lift, They said there was a nail in the inside of the tire and it was on the shoulder and not repairable, I would need 4 new tires. Right… I went to discount tire, they said it was VERY repairable and did it for FREE. and it was on the outside of the tire as well, not the inside. The wait time is horrible as well. Both times took over 20 minutes waiting when there were only two of us in there. They take calls over in store customers, NO CLUE WHY! Never going back.

The only reason I came here was because they had my hard to find tires that no other shop could get at a reasonable price. That is why I gave them two not one stars. Other then that… shoot myself now.
They WILL take 4 to 8 hours to get your car done. You will spend half to a full day waiting in their dirty, nine seat waiting area. Who has to get a rental car for the day if they want a new set of tires??? Firestone customers. Seriously it’s a joke. Oh, and I’m not even touching on the ridiculously bad customer service.
Go here only if you absolutely have no other choice.

The guys seem nice that work there and I get that there’s a bit of a snow storm going on in Portland right now. But from the time a person started to ring me up for windshields wipers and the time I was out the door took over 15 or 20 minutes. I had everything picked out and ready to go, but the staff just seemed to be clueless on how to work their own computers. Just really inexperienced. I wouldn’t ever go here again.

I understand you’re busy guys. Thats ok. But, whhhyyyy does it take (literally) 15 minutes for me to purchase windshield wipes. I knew which blades i needed exactly.
And, if i was waiting in line that entire time, I still probably wouldn’t been that upset. My question though is why did it take the 15 minutes once i started speaking to one of your representatives? He asked for my phone number 4 different times and my address info several as well. First off, why do you even need to know that if all i’m asking for is a simple, quick purchase at point of sale?
Simplify please! Your staff was friendly which i fully appreciate though! But please, don’t make me wait 15 minutes for wiper blades i had in my hand when i went to the counter. Thank you!

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU DON’T KNOW CARS THEY WILL ROB YOU BLIND.
I came here for an alignment that is all. They put the car up on the lift and shook the wheel and noticed it had a little play. Instead of looking to see where the play was coming from they gave me a list of parts that I «needed» and the price for replacement this came out to over $ 800.
To give you an idea for the price gauging that was used they quoted me a price for a tie rod that i «needed» at $ 127. The tie rod only cost $ 38 new. How do i know this? Because i already bought a brand new one that was already installed on the car 2 weeks ago.
So i took the car home and put it on jacks shook the tire to see the play. Within 20 minutes i found out that the tie rod retaining bolt was loose. Tightened it up the presto no more play. I didn’t even have to take the wheels off to fix this tiny problem and it cost me nothing.
If i haven’t already replaced these parts before i went there they would have use my ignorance about the situation to rob me of $ 800+ of my hard earned money.
If you read all of this and still deiced to go there and they want to sell you parts to «fix» a problem then at least make them show you what needs to be fixed and why. more chances then not they will not be able too.

Had a great experience with this location acouple months ago. Got all new tires for $ 350 with better tires then we were gonna originally get and for the same price.
