I ordered pies from Hoffman Farms for my wedding, and I cannot recommend them enough! My customer service experience dealing with Melissa and Korina was far and above one of the best I’ve ever had. They were so great, and the pies were DELICIOUS. Melissa mentioned that they were converting their barn to become a wedding venue — so cute! If you’re looking for a place to get married, I’m sure it would be wonderful. I can’t wait to return for our one year wedding anniversary and buy some more pies!

This is a great family farm not far from Tigard on your ways out Scholl’s. It is now Hood Strawberry time and you can pick them for $ 1.75/lb or buy them already picked. They also have some rhubarb and pies to sell you but new this year is their kettle and caramel corn by the bag. I bought the caramel corn and ate the whole thing! The Hood strawberries are my favorite and the sweetest berry out there. They started picking them 5÷16÷15 this year. I can hardly wait for the raspberries and tayberries and marionberries! Oh my!!! Stop in the farm store to get your picking instructions and buckets and go pick.

Play area for kids. You pick hoods. Wagons and sand and slides. We love it!!! Kids spent more time in play area than picking berries.

I haven’t gone to many u-picks but this was an awesome farm! We picked the strawberries and they were fabulous and they had a ton! Only 1.50 per pound which was awesome! This will be my GOTOFARM! ;) also, really beautiful scenery!

I need to live somewhere that I can drive 20 minutes out of town and go pick berries on the side of the road. You get a bucket and sent on your way out into the fields to pick whatever is ripe in season(strawberries, blueberries, blackberries…) and then you pay for your fare by the pound. We happened upon strawberry season and they smelled divine, looked divine, tasted divine. Hoffman’s helpers were out in the strawberry patch to aid us in looking for the right berries, and the hidden gems down under the vines. Loved the experience.

My family and I have traditionally gone to Sauvie Island every summer to go berry picking. This year we found a new place to pick and it’s a lot closer to home! Thanks to a Groupon offer, I discovered an awesome berry patch in Hoffman Farms! Hoffman Farms is a nice little place right on Scholls Ferry Rd. about 5 miles or so outside of Beaverton city proper. They’re hard to miss thanks to the tell-tale tower next to their farmhouse. While they have blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries, I was just there to pick the blueberries. They have several dozen long rows of blueberry bushes that are fairly low to the ground. I was there on July 8th, 2012 and I must say that their crop this year was so good that the berry bushes were practically bent over with ripe berries! I was able to pick just over 15lbs. of berries in about an hour and a half and I could have gone on for days. When I was finished picking, I was helped by two very nice and friendly ladies at the front register of the farm store. Checkout was fast and they take cards thankfully(Visa, Mastercard, and Discover). As of the time of this writing, Blueberries were about $ 1.50/lb. at u-pick price. It is important to note though that they also had pre-picked flats of raspberries, marion berries, blueberries, and strawberries if you don’t have the time or inclination to pick them yourself. On top of all that, they offer fresh berry smoothies and milkshakes! The one piece of advice I would offer to would-be pickers is to bring lots of water and sun block lotion. There isn’t a lot of shade out in the patch(which is to be expected). They sell bottled water for a reasonable price, but they were sold out when I went. All-in-all I was so pleased to find such a great berry patch so much closer to home than the 45 minute drive to Sauvie Island!

Lots of different berries to choose from, get there while the golden raspberry row is still in season, they are delicious!

This is a great place to hit when you want fresh berries. They sell them at the farm store already boxed up, but the real value is in the time spent with family picking your own! Tons of varieties, and as of 7⁄11 everything was only $ 1.50 per pound. Low bushes are great for kids, and there is a combine tractor play structure with slides and everything. Great fresh berry milkshake to boot. Can’t recommend this place any higher, if you can get out to the Beaverton area, this is the best place we have found(tried lots!).
