Hot Spot Fireplace And BBQ Shop

I got my Valor fireplace from Hot Spot about a year ago, and Steve Wells was just wonderful to work with. As background, I had first contacted a mom-​and-​pop shop in NE Portland, wanting to support a small family-​owned business, but it was like I had to beg for their business. They didn’t return calls or emails, and in the end when I went to the store and asked about getting the gunmetal grey finishes painted black, she basically shrugged and said that the installer could do everything. So all she wanted to do was place the order. I can’t imagine what the follow up service would be like, if it was that bad before I had purchased anything from them.
Anyway, I found a good installer (All Fuel) and Eric there highly recommended talking to Steve at Hot Spot. Not only did I get a great price, but the service was impeccable. He painted everything matching matte black, including the part that would be installed on the top of the chimney, and because my fireplace opening was unusually tall, he had one of his contacts build me a custom steel riser instead of stacking two of the pre-​made Valor ones, and everything looks fantastic. I also ordered a high-​quality, locally made fireplace shield for safety and got it a size too small, and he exchanged it for the larger one available in his shop for no extra cost.
This is the second season we’ve been using the fireplace and I am still thrilled with it. I highly recommend Hot Spot for all your fireplace needs.

We had an annoying and unpleasant experience recently while shopping for a new grill. The salesman was sarcastic and argumentative. We were just on the edge of spending $ 800 but after a few more passes with him we left the store. Found the same grill on Amazon with free shipping for $ 200! less.
This was one of the worst experiences we have had shopping in a very long while.
I seriously doubt that this store can afford to lose this kind of business.

This is a very convenient place if you need anything related to a fireplace! We passed in front of it and found some bellows that we had been considering for some time: they look nice, very simple, and work perfectly.
The variety of fireplaces they showcase around their shop is astounding.
Service was extremely fast, efficient and polite.
This place has every possible accessory for fireplaces and BBQs (even some interesting looking rubs for your steaks). The only single thing they don’t sell is firewood, but they can offer you some tips regarding where to find the best.

Great place for a good selection of fireplaces, BBQ grills and gas inserts for fire places.
I refitted my fireplace with a fancy glass bead product and a fire pan for a modern look. the manufacture cases some problems with an unannounced redesign of the fire pan, hot Spots took great care of me and resolved the issues without complaint.
