A big thanks to Fernando and everybody that works at LA nortena. You have once again proved your excellence. On short notice, you were able make a custom cake that was not only beautiful, but delicious as well. Everyone at my grandsons birthday party were so impressed.

I went in here not really knowing what to expect and found nirvana! This a friendly neighborhood market that is a bit off the beaten path. A great produce section, varied butcher cuts and the nicest people working there. The owner is helpful and bi-lingual, making it very easy for this gringa to up get what she needed.

I really love this spot and am happy that I stumbled upon it once upon a time, a long time ago.
Has all your standard options of a Mexican market along with a lot of really great people working who are happy to help.
I really enjoy going in for the great assortment of pastries and sweetbread.

I live in a neighborhood with several Panadarias within a couple of miles from my house but La Nortena is the best! The pastries and cakes are delicious and very reasonable and the staff is very friendly. They also have imported groceries from Mexico at MUCH better prices than large grocery stores charge for Mexican imports. They also have a butcher shop and produce section, but it is the bakery that has me addicted to this little store! Turn south on 124^th off of Allen Blvd. in Beaverton and go on in, grab a tray and tongs and get yourself some authentic, quality Mexican pastries!
