Went here for the first time last night with my mom and was very impressed. The portions are very large so the prices are actually reasonable for the amount of food you get. The mac and Cheese is excellent(especially with the added bacon). The only thing that was odd is that we decided to split the mac and cheese and they brought it out to us in two separate plates(which we thought was very nice), but then they charged us $ 3 for splitting the dish… if we had known that there was going to be a fee, we would have told them just to keep it on plate instead of splitting it on two plates. Overall, our experience was very good, the waitress was very kind and attentive.

I loved this place! Our waitress was polite and on the ball. The food was freakin’ tasty! My fiancé had the Asian chicken lettuce wraps and it was fresh and delicious. I decided to go with the fish and chips and I’m glad I did, so good! They are also very good with making sure your drinks are topped off and everyone is enjoying themselves. Thank you and looking forward to coming back!

We decided to dine here tonight since this is pretty close to our hotel. We were politely greeted by the host and seated right away. The place wasn’t busy at all and we received our food within 15 minutes! Everything was freshly made and the portions were generous. The kids meals come with a drink and dessert(ice cream sundae or Scooby snacks) and are only $ 6! We ordered: Monteaux burgers and California sandwich. The burgers come on a toasted brioche bun, has bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, fried egg & Thousand Island dressing. Burgers come with fries or you can pay $ 1 more for salad or soup instead. The California also came on toasted brioche bun and had a large chicken breast, bacon, avocado, Jack cheese, lettuce, tomato & red onion. I decided to have clam chowder with my order and it was thick, creamy and had a good amount of clams too. We also ordered the beer sampler that comes with 62.5oz pours of local brews. My favorite is the Smores Stout. The service here was very prompt, friendly and efficient. We would definitely recommend this place and would come back here if we are in the area again.

My family and I were looking for somewhere quick-ish to eat while we got a prescription filled at Costco. We pulled up to Monteaux and I dubiously noted«Hmm. The parking lot is completely empty.» Not wanting to judge a book by it’s cover we continued forth. I got a flat Dr. Pepper(which the waiter very nicely took off our bill and replaced with a water) to start off and then some kind of pesto pasta that was extremely bland for my entrée. My sister got the steak which came with an amazing mushroom sauce, but that sauce was pretty much the highlight of our $ 50 bill. Probably won’t be back here again.

Came here for the first time a couple months back and really enjoyed the ambience, a bit sultry with wonderful European décor. The happy hour here is legitimate too. They have soups, great beef tacos, painted hills natural cheeseburger with fries, hummus, and more! All these hh items are very reasonably priced too. Have come in for lunch too and my sandwhich was Devine! Must try!

Walked in, waited over 5 minutes for a server to come up to seat us and left. Didn’t try the food, probably won’t be back to try it.

The family and I were looking for a place to land for a Friday night and we’d heard of Monteaux’s but hadn’t been there yet. The menu looked great on the website, and it was fun to read that they offer different cuisines on their TELL menu each month. We were pretty excited to try them out, and I was a bit underwhelmed by our greeting into the restaurant. It wasn’t busy by any stretch of the imagination, but the busboy/server/waitstaff that walked by the«Please Wait to Be Seated» sign looked a bit harried and wasn’t really clued into where to seat us. I’m not sure if they were shorthanded or normally have a hostess(which they should) but we were seated fairly quickly after a bit of juggling. We all ordered drinks, and my son’s root beer never came — but then again they never tried to charge us for it, so the waitress clearly didn’t even note it. I ordered the meatloaf, my husband had the Diablo burger(special of the month), and my son the fish and chips. Our meals came out super fast, so fast in fact that my eyebrows raised a bit at the«homemade food» claims — but it did live up to a pretty good meal. Not exceptional — I can’t grant it 5 stars, but good and decent for a nice family dinner. My husband raved about his burger — it was pretty juicy and nice. My meatloaf came with three«onion rings»(really just deep fried bits of onion, not in a ring) that had clearly been fried right after my son’s(or someone else’s) fish. The meatloaf was moist in the center, with a good savory crust, and could have had just a bit more gravy accompaniment. For dessert we topped things off with sharing the hot fudge brownie sundae, and the chef’s galette(apples with caramel sauce) which were both mind-blowingly good — and huge portions! Our family took extras home, and could have easily eaten just one dessert between the three of us. With a beer, wine, three dinners, and two desserts, our bill topped around $ 70 — and I don’t know that we will return for such a big dinner for that price again.

5 Stars for a great waitress. 3 Stars for food. The happy hour menu has a nice selection of foods and drinks.

This place looks like it has an identity crises, I guess they couldn’t decide on a theme so they just slapped stuff all over the place. One thing that bothers me is when restaurants have a «please wait to be seated» sign at the front door and you literally stand there for 15 mins before some one asks you if you want a table, then when they finally tell you have a seat wherever and all the tables are dirty and again you stand there and wait for one of the worthless waitresses come over and clean it off. Service is very poor and the staff does not make you feel welcome. One thing that made me angry is they have a section on the menu that is only offered at lunch, my question is why have it on the main menu if you don’t offer it? The waitress took our drink order and let the waiting game begin for her to return, we placed appetizers, we got the deep fried goat cheese balls, nasty rancid smelling we informed the waitress and she acted like she didn’t care, we asked for it to be removed from the bill. The main meal came out and looked dry and looked pathetic. Waitress never came back to check on us or to refill drinks. Needless to say I will NEVER return and will tell others to pass this place up. I can get a better meal at Burgerville. I hope the waitress really didn’t think she deserved a tip because there was not one left for her. Avoid the place…

Great little place with great food. I’ve been here a few times and it is quite the surprise for a neighborhood with limited choices. I would recommend it if you’re in the area.

My Boyfriend and I were looking for a decent pub-ish place in the Beaverton area to try out. Monteaux’s had good reviews, so we went for dinner on a Thursday to try it out for ourselves. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich, that was dry. I had a side of sweet potato fries and I asked for chipotle sauce(since they had a chipotle burger as the special I figured they would have sauce.) The waitress didn’t even know what that was. My boyfriend ordered the mac and cheese, that should have come with a spoon because it was very soupy. Not at all like mac and cheese should be. Our nice little date night out didn’t go so well here.

Had to update my review after eating here a few more times. Every meal I’ve had here has been DELICIOUS. The service is always good, and there’s never much of a wait. I need to visit here more often.

Gluten free options! So excited! I hadn’t had what felt like a real burger in so long. It was probably healthier that way just eating patties on lettuce, but whatever. This was so tasty it was worth it. Last time I went they were out of gluten free buns so the waitress checked and got me compensated a ½lb burger for the price of the 1/3lb which I really appreciated. Unfortunately they haven’t had gluten free soup the two times I’ve gone, but apparently they do at times. Service is quick, polite, and the first time we went I believe we were talking with the owner or at least some sort of manager dude that really gave us a good impression of the establishment. The décor is warm and inviting, and has some sort of crazy dog on the wall that I couldn’t stop cracking up at once I noticed his soulless eyes. We will definitely be back again.

They ordered dinner at work one day from this place and i ordered the Portobello Mushroom sandwich which was pretty decent. I expected that there would be a veggie/soy patty but it just had the mushrooms, grilled onions and peppers. It still tasted good but it was not very filling and left me hungry after 2 hours. The sandwich came with a side salad.

Great place for happy hour. Come here almost on a weekly basis with coworkers. Beer selection is great and food is good for happy hour. One of my favorites include the nachos and the hummus plate. My friends like the sliders and fries. Hamburger and wings are ok. Service is great waiters are very attentive and helpful in suggestions. Nice place to gather friends to chill and hang out.

Just Say No to Moe’s Wow! I just found out that the«BEST» clam chowder is not at the Oregon Coast, it’s right here in Beaverton. I know that I have mentioned some great dishes at Monteaux’s before, but, I NEVER expected what came in my bowl when I ordered the clam chowder. FIRST, it was full of more clams than potatoes, which most other places don’t do(even Moe’s), 2nd, the taste & texture are excellen &3rd, but not the least of all, when I put my spoon in the center it actally stood straight up… Now THAT: S what I call a real clam chowder. So forget the Coast, stay close to home, support a local business & enjoy the BEST clam chowder in Oregon. Check out my website for my reviews on other restaurants,

This is one of those places that you go to in order to avoid chain restaurants while living out in the burbs. It is good food, not great food, and basic all-American. They do have some«exotic» dishes each month, but really, I’ll go to a restaurant that specializes in that cuisine to eat it. The waffle fries are really good, the fish and chips were good as was the burger. Really, a solid establishment with nothing noteworthy to draw you other than predictably decent food.

Monteaux is a nice bistro-like dining experience with great local fare and delicious specials. I have been wanting to come eat here for a few years and I am pleased to say that it didn’t disappoint. Food was indeed very good. It was a busy weekday lunch hour but we were seated promptly and drinks didn’t take very long to come. Next time I would like a seat on the other side of the room by the windows but alas, there weren’t any tables available on that end when we arrived. That’s okay. Next time. The food was delicious. The burgers are made to order. I ordered the Chile Verde burger, medium-rare. The sweetheart ordered the grilled apple and brie burger. He enjoyed his burger immensely. He’s not a big cheese person but the combination of apples, bacon, and brie was a perfect medley of flavors for him. It’s even harder to impress him when it comes to burgers. He ate EVERYTHING. His plate was completely cleaned and the fries are really good too. I really liked my burger. I liked the nice spicy kick and it wasn’t overpowering so if you’re more sensitive to spice, it would still be good for you. I like spicy and it was just enough to quench that craving. This place is also reasonably priced so we’ll definitely come back.

This is a spot to go. I ordered the clam chowder with a ham and Bree grilled sandwich. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor of the chowder as well as finding out they serve it daily rather than only on Fridays. I sat at the bar and enjoyed a drink as I waited for my food. Service was quick enough I didn’t even have time to finish my beer. Worry not, I finished it. The sandwich was delightful with sliced apples inside the sandwich. Really complimented the whole meal.

Monteaux’s has been our«go to» neighborhood dining spot. Like the Cheers Bar, it’s the place where«everybody knows your name.» They are a welcome oasis in the otherwise chain-restaurant-driven Beaverton cuisine scene. The chef — the newest member of the family — is fantastic. We have always enjoyed the food, and the menu offers such a variety — especially with their monthly rotating«country» theme specials, as well as weekend chef’s specials that are innovative and tasty.(Sometimes we see chef’s specials posted on Facebook, and if we’ve had a tiring day, I say«let’s go!») Evidently others feel the same, as the place is usually hopping. Monteaux’s has a delicious variety of burgers and standard pub fare, but they also offer dishes for the health-conscious — the Olallies salad with strawberries and hazelnuts. .. the pear and glazed walnut salad. .. . or the Portabello mushroom burger. .. Dishes uniformly make good use of fresh, local ingredients. My husband enjoys the ever-changing beer selection and if Lillian is at the bar, he asks her to surprise him with a beer choice; she knows his tastes well enough to pick some winners for him. The caramel appletini is my personal favorite. The staff is so friendly and many of them have been there a long time, which I think speaks volumes about the place.
