I have been a customer for three years. I work 12 hour shifts at a hospital starting at 4 am. My delivery yesterday 3÷14÷16 was scheduled for 7 – 9 pm. At 8:30 the driver called and said he was 45 minutes away, in another city, and would not be here before 10. He gave me the choice of canceling the order and said Safeway would call me this morning to re-schedule. They didn’t call; I called at 1:15 and currently on hold for 12 minutes 32 seconds as we speak. I spoke to one Customer Service agent first, he said they have no openings for deliveries today. I am now on hold for a Supervisor. The reason I use is because I work a lot of hours and am busy with a family. I want to have this delivery charge removed at the least. This level of «Customer Service» is honestly the worst I’ve ever seen from any one, ever. To be in ANOTHERCITY? During our delivery time? Who schedules the drivers? Then why tell me they would call to re-schedule, and they didn’t? Honestly, absolutely appalling level of service.

This is my favorite Safeway to shop at. Store is very clean and well stocked. Staff is friendly and helpful. Deli is awesome! The manager is very nice and always helps cashier when it’s busy.

This is a great neighborhood Safeway. It doesn’t have the bulk/organic products like New Seasons or Fred Meyer, but it is a great place to pick up basic ingredients. Sales are good sometimes, if you are a club member. Staff is super friendly. And– it’s open until 1:00AM. Such a blessing for those of us with weird work schedules!

I found an ant in my Starbucks drink, which is not so appetizing. Your workers don’t have the best attitude.

The store manager is incredibly nice. I told him I was looking for a specific brand of ginger beer and he made sure to bring it back to the shelves. He goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is content! I am so thankful that this is the closest grocery store to me. The employees are all very nice!

It’s Safeway, so nothing is THAT bad, but Winco has better prices and Bales has nicer food.

Not the cleanest Safeway I’ve been to but great wine selection. The bread pudding that is sold in the bakery is amazing. Also at 8:00 pm the deli sells any unsold of there heated food for 50% off. There’s also a Starbucks inside the store so you can get your coffee on while shopping for coffee. The staff is very helpful, friendly, and fairly knowledgable. Avocados are currently .99 each.

Do not buy their bakery banana cream pies. The crust tastes of thick pure baking soda and baking powder. The pudding filling was unpleasant. This is the worst pie I have eaten in a long time

Walking into this safeway was literally one of the best decisions I have ever made. Did you know this store is literally FULL of food and other useful household items? Well, it is! The logical and easy-to-navigate layout allowed me to find a gallon of milk and carton of non-dairy holiday nog lickety-split! And how could I forget the helpful and non-judgemental staff, who so kindly directed me and my fidgeting 6-year old toward an immaculate public restroom?! I would be a fool not to go back to this Safeway, should my travels ever take me to the 135thNW block of Cornell again.

The store is like any other. But the meat department was AMAZING!!!1 they tenderized… rubbed…did a bunch of things for me and never once scoffed or complained.

This Safeway got kids’ «car carts»(like fire engines and police cars) a kid can ride and *drive* while an adult pushes, AND kid-size carts a kid can push just like an adult does. For this reason alone, I’m giving it 4 stars.

This Safeway is one of the better-run chain grocery stores I frequent, and I go there all the time since it is walking distance from my home. While they do not carry some of the high-end products(cheeses, meats, etc) that I sometimes seek, and have a stagnant and uninspired wine selection; they do run a VERY tight ship, there are rarely exorbitant lines, their prices are very competitive, and their customer service is top notch. Reasons why I rate this store 4 stars… 1) You always see the same Register Clerks, AKA it must be a job worth keeping, and you can become familiar with the employees, gives it a more neighborhood feel. 2) Well staffed. Rarely do you see a situation where there aren’t enough clerks to keep up with the lines. 3) Customer service. Once I was scouting a nicer bottle of wine, and chose one at about $ 30, on sale down from $ 45. Anyway, I got to the counter, and they rang it up… it came up as $ 56 dollars! I told them that there must be a mistake, and that I wasn’t looking to spend that much on the bottle. The very nice checker insisted on walking back to the wine section with me, and we discovered that the bottle I selected was shelved under the wrong slot… long story short, I got the $ 56 of wine for $ 30. That’s what keeps me coming back. The manager there is(from what I can discern) the reason it is so well run, I think he has been there for over 10 years, and is VERY hands on, always jumping on a station to help get the customers through the line, always has a smile on his face. Only if all grocery stores were this well run. Because in the end, you really aren’t going to go broke or get rich shopping at one store or another, and you are always somewhat limited and liberated by what every grocery provider has to offer; in the end, if it isn’t a pleasant experience shopping and hassle free, that’s when I start to look elsewhere.

Do you have your Safeway Clubcard with you? yes, cause if you don’t have one you’ll be charged an arm and a leg. if you do, you’ll be charged regular retail price which still sucks. Go to somewhere else. Go here if it’s convinient. With the way the new better establishments are going. I would not mind spending extra for something worthy and better. If you want generic, go to Fred Meyers, albertson’s for better deal and less hassle. Less talking as well.
