I’ve been coming here for buffet lunch for years, and this place, finally, has hit rock bottom. The main problem is that this place seats far more people than it can feed. The lines to the buffet can be 40 people long or longer — and not just on Fridays. The more popular dishes gone more than half the time and by the time they get replaced, you’ll probably be done with your meal. Aside from fruit and ice cream, there is only one dessert item. There are far better lunch and dining options in Burlington/Bedford.

Updated review for the lunch buffet. The lunch buffet is very good. They have a nice selection of food, they refresh the buffet frequently, and the quality is very good. There are usually beef, chicken, shrimp, and vegetable dishes on the buffet in addition to several appetizer type items and sushi rolls. It’s one of the best Chinese buffets I’ve been to, and probably the best in Eastern Massachusetts.

We eat at Bamboo a couple times a month, so I figured I would finally write a review. It’s one of our favorite places. It’s clean, comfortable and the service is outstanding. We have never had a bad experience here. The food is always delicious and done right. We don’t do the buffet often, but that is great as well. We highly recommend it.

This is a regular on my American Chinese food rotation that includes Bamboo, Chang An in Concord and Lotus Blossom in Sudbury. All are good American Chinese fare with his ingredients prepared well. What I like is that it is always clean and the service is attentive. There are nice table cloths and good quality serving plates. You feel good about being here and will not feel embarrassed being with friends. One favorite here is the Sunday dinner buffet. My daughter especially enjoys it. They have a nice selection of sushi and Chinese fare. I tend to eat too much sushi here.(My son in law calls them«food shots» and had talked about holding a drinking game with sushi.) They offer the popular fare with lots of tuna, salmon and shrimp rolls. The Chinese buffet has all the standard appetizers food the area. None are greasy, fortunately. If got want any of the shrimp Shomai, you need to get there before I do. I always clean out the steamers . Bamboo is a small chain. They are all about the same, in my experience.

Reminded me a lot of how Indo-Chinese restaurants are in India, with respect to the seating and ambiance. The food was pretty decent(I loved the Singapore Rice Noodles and Scallion Pancakes) and I think I’ll definitely visit again for more!

Blink and you’ll miss it but the only problem I found with the lunch buffet is I didn’t find it sooner! Amazing food and great service!

A friend and I decided to give it a try. It was your basic Japanese décor — nothing fancy. We went with some sushi rolls: Red Maki Good), Eel Maki(Ok) & Lobster Maki(Good). If I’m desperate for sushi this is an ok place to come.

Was there today and had only white rice with iced tea which was very good. Also had some soup which was hot and tasty and some seaweed salad which was fine. It was actually very good. That was about it. Place was quiet at about 2 p.m. on a Monday and I got to chat with the Chinese cook who is from China whose name is Patrick.

First time at Bamboo and it was a big thumbs up from us! My boyfriend and I decided to try it out on a Friday night, nervous we might hit some wait time. Not knowing how HUGE the dining area was we were able to get a table right away. We started off with crab Rangoon which is always a fan favorite for us. The appetizer came with 6 crab filled rangoons with 2 types of dipping sauces. For our meals we couldn’t decide on 2 sushi rolls, so we had to get 3! My favorite was the Red Lion Maki that had great taste and was extremely fresh. The one thing I would change is a little less avocado on the Green Dragon Maki. I love avocado but the thick layer on top took away from the mango and shrimp flavoring on the inside of the roll. Next time we are craving sushi this restaurant will be on the list for sure!

A very clean and efficient sushi restaurant. Huge! Great for groups. Edamame, seaweed salad: delicious! One of the better seaweed salads I’ve had in a while. I liked the Godzilla and Rainbow maki. It doesn’t look like the freshest of all fresh, but still enjoyable. Overall a great experience. Oh and: chocolate flavored fortune cookie. Definitely a novelty! Would come back

Asian fusion can be a little hit and miss and I don’t usually like to mix up my Japanese, Chinese and Thai. However, Bamboo does a few items quite well. In particular, I love their Orange Chicken, it has a bold orange flavor with plenty of burnt orange rind. The sushi was pretty average, but to be fare this was a large takeout order for a company lunch. It is pretty hard to do good sushi under those circumstances. The Good: Orange Chicken — My favorite dish on this visit Gyoza — Good Boneless Sparerib — sliced Chinese BBQ Pork — good Eggplant and Chicken — nothing fancy but still good House fried rice — nothing fancy but still good The Average: Chinese Shao-mai — just ok. Alaska Roll — Salmon could be fresher, but this was a company lunch takeout order The Bad: Vegetable spring rolls — bland beyond belief, filled with just cabbage. Caterpillar roll — The eel was not as fresh as I’d like

I’ve always been a big fan of buffets and I decided to give this place a try. My first impression after I was seated at my table was, where’s the food?! It felt like I had to search my way all around the restaurant before finding the location of the food. I was seated pretty far away so it was quite a bit of travels to get back to my table. The sushi here is definitely bland. I didn’t like the sushi at all. The hot food however, wasn’t too bad. It was pretty average. They have absolutely no napkins at all in this restaurant. That is a big no-no in my book. Instead, they have like the handkerchief or whatever you call it. I know it sounds nasty, but I’d like to be able to blow my nose when I eat spicy food or what not. They have ginger and green tea ice cream. I’ve never heard of a ginger ice cream flavor before so I gave it a try. It kind of tastes like the Vietnamese desert: Che Troi Nuoc. It definitely has more flavor than the green tea. The green tea ice cream doesn’t taste as rich as the ginger ice cream.

This is my in laws favorite place to dine and we actually had our wedding rehearsal dinner here three years ago. It’s a nice space with delicious dinners and a good family vibe. I’m here often due to the love from my in laws, hence my three stars. The buffet is boring and that’s what they love the most. The sushi they offer is only 3 – 4 options, and they never change the buffet menu. The other reason for my 3 star review is their service. Especially during lunch they don’t seem quite attentive. I enjoy some of their main dishes, however and order those whenever possible. The drinks are strong and it’s not only a great place for family but also to meet friends.

My boyfriend and I stopped in here for a quick bite after a mall trip and I’m so glad we did. It was early for dinner so the place was nice and quite. Our server was attentive. I ordered the Wonton Soup to start since it was so cold out. Simple and delicious. It was cheaper than most places but I got only two little wonton balls. The sushi was fab! I got the Crazy Maki which was perfect. I forget what he got but it had softshell crab and was also good. The sushi pieces were a bit on the large size which made it a little difficult to eat but otherwise everything was great!

My husband and I ordered take out from here tonight. When I called they were very nice and told me the order would be ready in 15 minutes. It was ready to go and nicely packaged when we got there. We ordered the Pad Thai, Kung Pao chicken, and shui mai appetizer. Everything was delicious. The pad Thai was made with crunchy noodles, which is different than I’m used to, but still tastes great. It had a fair amount of chicken and three large shrimp as well as plenty of vegetables. The Kung Pao chicken was the right level of spicy(just don’t get a pepper) and was more meat than I had ever seen in a to-go order. The shui mai was fabulous and reminded me of dim sum from Chinatown in Houston. We will definitely be back for to-go and to dine in. The restaurant looked really nice on the inside from what I could see while I was waiting for them to run my payment.
