I haven’t had a bad meal here, and I’ve eaten here 4 times. Everything tastes really flavorful and FRESH. Their pad Thai is different than other places I’ve had it — lighter and with more herbal and citrus tastes mixed with the peanut and fish sauce flavors. It is still comfort food, IMHO, but comfort food without the food coma afterward. Service is pretty quick — especially considering that they don’t have steam tables full of prepared food they are dishing up but they make each order right on the spot. One warning, their food is slightly habit forming. I got back from vacation recently and after overcoming jet lag I thought … I need some Max Noodle food today. Since its in the Market Basket plaza it’s a great place to grab a bite before grocery shopping.

I just got back from dinner with my wife. It was my third time eating at Max Noodles. I should also mention that the first time eating at Max Noodles was yesterday at lunch. Billerica typically does not come to mind when looking for a great restaurant. That has changed with Max Noodles. I could say the best thing about this gem is the incredibly fresh taste of everything we have tried. I could say the best thing is the husband and wife team who are friendly, helpful and unbelievably passionate about the delicious fusion cuisine they serve. Instead I will simply state that everything about this restaurant is perfect. It is immaculate, spacious, well lit and comfortable. All the food is made from scratch and the husband and wife team are happy to suggest modifications to make your dish just perfect. The price is more than fair and my wife and I left comfortably full and satisfied. My favorite items on the menu are the Miso Soup with vegetable broth and rice noodles and the scallion pancake rolls. My only regret is that they are not open for breakfast and I will be forced to wait until lunch tomorrow. DON’T MISSTHISONE!

Environment is ok. Tastes is not good. Meat smells weird– probably been stored for a while. Noodles taste flat, seems like they got it a while ago From super market package. Won’t try again…

Unique. Fresh. Local. Healthy. Full of umami. I ordered the bao buns, one chicken and one beef and they were unexpected, delectable but simple in the best way. I ordered a small chicken Phở and unlike its Vietnamese namesake this was not served with raw meat, cilantro or typical accompaniments but I didn’t miss it. It was its own and I enjoyed it. Max makes a homemade hot chili sauce that melted my face with fire and I loved it on my phở. I ordered a peach bubble tea and drank it while I waited. Max makes everything in house and it’s special. The restaurant is very clean. The prices were great. The food is scrumptious. I am very surprised that it wasn’t packed with customers but it picked up as it got later. You should come here.

I enjoyed the meal. Miso soup was real soup not just a broth.

We absolutely love this place! The owners are so friendly, and the food is fantastic! The portions are generous and you can even get half sizes for some items on the menu. We really love the Dam Dam Mein and the Max Combo platters. The Max Gnocchi is pretty awesome as well. They have a great house made hot sauce available and they’ll make your dish to your liking. The place is super clean and it’s decorated tastefully. Oh, and it’s BYOB which makes it even better!!! You have to try this place.

It is very hard for me to give five stars because that means outstanding for quality, service, ambiance and price, and that’s tough to accomplish. Here is what I really appreciated: I saw right into the kitchen, the ingredients, the love that goes into making the meal. We got the potstickers, the flavor of the meat kind hit the spot, the veggies and eggs one was a bit bland for my taste but my 11 yo loved it. That’s a win! The owners are friendly and happy, not pushy at all. The ambiance is simple with a touch of modern and the price could not have been a better match for the amount of food. Did I mention the bubble tea! Mango is the way to go!

Cute little Noodle shop in Billerica. Very clean, and owners are super friendly. My husband and I had the Max ramen and Max curry, both delicious, and portions are huge. Would definitely come back and try other items on the menu!

Friendly local shop serving noodle shop fair that’s locally sourced. I used to go to these kinds of places in London and I’m glad there’s a local joint I can grab some phở from again. Their house phở broth is good but their house ramen broth is even better. Being a noodle shop there menu is limited but it’s expected from a place like this. Wait staff: n/a(it’s counter service) Expedite: 4 Food: 4 Décor: 3 Drinks: 2(they do have BYOB) Will definitely return for take away.

Second visit, second time eating delicious independent food! Signage prices themselves on being unlike others using fresh and local ingredients. Pricing is very reasonable and portions are generous. Most importantly it’s delicious. It’s been very quiet both visits, hope they stick around!

Plenty parking, immaculate place, really cute décor, owners are happy to answer questions and are proud of their food. Which is prepared fresh with house made noodles, tons of veggies and you can adjust the heat level as you like. Asian cookies for $ 0.50, complimentary ice water and mints(exotic flavors), but they sell a good variety of drinks and delicious bubble tea! Perfect meal for a cold day. I’m a fan.

Just got a takeout order for the first time. Ordered DanDanMien and mentioned that I like spicy food so they added a little extra ‘heat’. It was delicious. If they had table service and cocktails, I might have rated them higher. The woman who took my order was very pleasant I hope they succeed at this location.

So, it’s OK. The couple that runs the place are darlings, and it is clean and well-kept, but they have stiff competition with Sichuan Gourmet right up the road. Perhaps I made a mistake ordering the DanDan Mien(should that be Mein? you know, noodles? I don’t know, it says Mien on the menu). They are spicy but not spicy enough(though I prefer VERY spicy), and they have a slight but disconcerting crunch throughout — like the whole dish is permeated with just a little bit of fine sand. Maybe they didn’t rinse the baby bok choy first? At least the flavor is nice.

Zero stars — terrible food — terrible service. I might as well eat my ramen under the sea because it was so salty. Ordered kimchi ramen, and the chef made a different ramen because of the horrible communication between the teenager that took our order and the kitchen. Clearly heard them acknowledge that the chef made a mistake. So, how did ahjima fix it… «Throw a hand full of kimchi in it.» Mmmmmm…instant kimchi ramen!!! So bad.

Little, clean mom and pop noodle place in a strip mall. Literally. «Mom» said we’d have to wait a minute for Max to return to make the food because he was out running an errand. It’s an order then find a seat little place. Very warm/humid inside. «Mom» was very friendly, helpful and attentive. Different types of noodles in broth with vegetables and/or meats on the small menu. Also, they claim all natural and healthy ingredients. I am really white, so I liked the plainness of the food. My young daughter loved the noodles in broth. My asian pal did not care for the buns nor the noodles and would not come back. But he laughed and said he knew why white people would like this stuff. Warning: Big portions. They now offer half sizes, which we ordered, and they were more than we could handle.

Was so happy to have a chance to try this place today — I’d heard about it for a while, but just got around to trying it out tonight and I’m really happy that I did! It’s not your typical Chinese/Asian restaurant, and features a small menu of mostly noodle/soup dishes(although there are some items that are popular at other Asian restaurants, such as pot-stickers). A sign in the window advertised that everything was sourced locally and cooked to order, which is always a special touch. We ordered food to go — the ramen noodles and two different flavored bubble teas. We did have to wait a 15 – 20 minutes or so for our food, but the wait wasn’t so bad as they made sure our bubble teas were made quickly for us to enjoy while we were waiting. They were almost too-sweet, but were still refreshing and yummy. The ramen was delicious and the woman who worked there made sure to package the noodles themselves separately from the soup so that they wouldn’t become mushy/overcooked. As we went to leave, the man working there(who I’m assuming is the owner and the cook), stopped us and gave us some spicy sauce he’d made himself for us to sample. It was a really nice touch that gave our food an extra kick. We were honestly surprised at how quiet it was for 5 pm. Overall, the food was fresh and delicious, the décor was pleasant, and the owners were incredibly nice people.

First, there are two Unilocal accounts for this restaurant. Confusing. Anyway… The food here is light and healthy and authentic. Too many people think that Asian food has to be overly salty, fried, and saucy and that’s simply not the case. Home-style Asian food is very light and fresh and that’s what Max Noodle brings to the table.

I’ve been looking forward to Max Noodles opening since my husband took over a store in the same plaza in November. They have finally opened their doors, and the place is beautiful! My Husband, Son and I tried three different dishes. The Max Ramen, the potstickers and the Max Bao. The service was great, they checked up on us while we were eating, and they had all the fixings you would need to alter the food to your individual taste. All the food was wonderful. I could see some people thinking the Ramen had something to be desired, but they are probably comparing it to junk. The broth was very light, the veggies very fresh and the noodles had a slight bite but weren’t chewy. The Potstickers had been fried to perfection, and the Bao was light, airy, sweet and savory! Fresh, clean, simple, everything we love about Japanese cuisine. This is some of the best Japanese food we have had in ages.

So, it’s probably a 2 but I’m feeling generous. I really want to like this restaurant. It’s family run and seems like a welcome addition. It’s their first week so I will give it some time and give them another try. First, they’ve hired a young staff. This is fine but they all appeared to be working today and none of them appeared to understand their roles. They kept bouncing from station to station trying to be helpful but instead just stepping on each other’s toes. The young man who rang me up took my cash and then proceeded to grab my noodles from the fridge and use the same hands he handled money(and who knows what else) with to dump the noodles into the water. Boiling water kills germs anyways, right??? They have a very limited menu consisting of only 9 items. With this limited a menu, I was hoping that my meal would fall into the less is better philosophy. I ordered the Max Ramen which the owner prepared. Sadly, it lacked flavor. The broth was just very bland. The vegetables on the other hand were fresh, crisp and quite tasty. The noodles themselves were fine but again lacked flavor. I ended up having to use siracha and soy to make it more edible but the broth wasn’t fixable. The service was good they checked on me while I was eating and quickly cleared my half finished bowl. Like I said, it’s only their first week and I expect they’ll work out the kinks soon enough. I’ll be back. I’ll try something else and who knows, maybe I’ll be blown away.
