Went here a few days ago, after reading reviews and hungering for something spicy, Asian, and tasty. Arrived at 11:20 for lunch. Hardly anyone there at first, only to see the place quickly start to fill up 15 minutes later. Promptly was brought tea and and a pickled vegetsble relish dish to snack on. Friendly, attentive service; mentioning it was my first time brought smiles all around. Ordered Ma Po Tofu, which came with hot & sour soup, tons of white riceas a lunch; placed a to-go order of Sliced Roast Beef & Tendon w. Chili Sauce plus Dan Dan noodles. The goodly sized portion of Ma Po Tofu was the best tasting version I’ve ever had. Floraly spicy hot sauce with minced porky goodness to complement the silky tofu. Pretty presrntation, too. Perfect, with requisite tongue-numbing Sichuan peppercorniness. Amount of rice was massive and lots came home with the take-out order. Soup, then main dish came quickly, with waitress smiles. Water was topped off regularly, hostess checked in on me and we agreed the dish was spicy, amenably spicy. Place was almost completely full when I left; it seems to pay off to have an early lunch here, although incoming diners seemed to be seated and served quickly. At home that evening, my wife and I shared the Dan Dan noodles, and the cold roast beef and tendon salad. Portions looked a bit small in the restaurant containers, but delivered huge flavors and larger than expected contents. Dan Dan — thin noodles had porky goodness on top, sitting on a pool of a different flavored, oily, hot and floral sauce. Stirred all together and dove in, yummy and mildly spicy. Beef tendon dish had great texture and flavor, chewy goodness in a spicy sauce that was more bold than the pervious dish but not overly so, just right on the heat that let the beef and tendon speak without being drowned out as nd all the while tingly taste buds and tongue. I’ll definitely be back.

the BEST chinese food I have ever had, including chinatowns all over US& Europe, and even Shanghai. The Xiang La Fish fillet is my all time favorite dish, just try it. This food is fiery hot when you eat it, but surprisingly, your lips will get back to normal within 30 mins. A day later, you’ll be dreaming of going back for another try at the exotic spices. Stick to the Sichuan — although I am told the american-chinese food isn’t bad, why take up space at this always crowded place if you aren’t interested in their best? other favorites: Cheng Du Street BBQ, anything with pork belly, sichuan string beans, Old Sichuan chicken. very limited bar, who cares? it’s all about the peppers. I have tried all 4 of their restaurants(Sharon, Brookline, Framingham), and each has its own specialties, but this is by far the best.

DANDAN noodles and dry chicken are fantastic Dont come to this place ordering sweet & sour chicken, the Kung bao beef, & the pork fried rice. That is basically on the menu for ‘white people/non-chinese’. You will get very standard versions of that as you would expect. Get the real deal.

Best Chinese in town! Small dine in area is most often packed. Dim sum on Sunday is great and authentic food! Sunday’s, again packed all day! Family gets take out from there and usually long line on weekends. More than accommodating to adjust salt amount or spiciness of dishes. They do not use MSG. Great choice to the same old American style Chinese food, but they also have the same dishes as well for those less than adventurous types! Try it out!

Their food is very yummy, we enjoyed very much. very authentic Chinese Sichuan Food. But sometime this place is too busy, we have to wait hours to get the food. And their food, constantly increase the price little by little.

This is always a safe bet — great food, lot of variety and lot of protein in each meal. My favourite is the fish and tofu in black pepper sauce.

If you like Chinese you will probably like this! You like a pu pu for two or a scallion pancake? Well you just found dinner for your self and a close friend. Think this like a typical strip mall Chinese restaurant you would be wrong. Its like eating in Chinatown, excluding the pig on a spit in the front window.

This really wasn’t very special Chinese food. Honestly it wasn’t even all that good! I would just say it’s average. We got the sweet & sour chicken, the Kung bao beef, & the pork fried rice. The rice was good just not very flavorful. The chicken is mostly breading & a little strip of chicken inside. We ordered to go so the sauce was separate, I don’t know if that’s how it is in the restaurant but even with dipping the chicken in the sauce a bunch, the chicken was sort of dry. The Kung bao beef taste like basically nothing & is NOT spicy. Overall– average Chinese food that isn’t very flavorful. Don’t go here expecting great food b/c of the reviews like we did.

I honestly can’t recommend this place highly enough. When you go, try something off the beaten path. They have the usual American/Chinese cuisine, but that isn’t what this place is about. Be adventurous, try something different, with this place you’ll get rewarded.

Worst service ever. Went in for lunch on a weekday with a colleague and waited through them waving several larger groups that came in after us, constantly acknowledging that we were waiting… this was a good 30 – 35 minutes… the kicker was when a table for two opened up and two guys walked in just then and was also seated right in front of us! She sheepishly explained that they had come in earlier but had left and returned. This is highly unacceptable! Everybody’s time is valuable. I understand you want to make money by seating larger tables but you are not worth my time if you have no value for my time or patronage!

Seriously SO good. When we’re starving and want a for sure good meal our go-to’s are the Sichuan string beans, white rice, and dry chili chicken and occasionally the pickled veg and fish soup to help everything go down easier. My 9 year old daughter gets regular chicken wings because she doesn’t eat spicy food. I guess they’re okay but I don’t come here to eat chicken wings! Some of the things we have had in previous visits– doubled cooked bacon, hand pulled noodles with lamb, tripe/blood cake/intestine casserole thing(sorry I forget the name) but it’s all in a hot spicy broth with clear noodles. Great, I’m drooling now. I will note this is a different kind of spicy to me. It’s not tear jerking, nose running, gasping for air habanero, Thai chili, jalapeño can’t taste your food anymore spicy. It’s more of an herbal spicy that makes my tongue slightly tingly. But then again I love spicy so this could vary from person to person. I try to go on «off» hours so we don’t have to wait. It’s very small inside and I prefer to not eat touching elbows with my stranger neighbor. Lots of large groups which will take up more space and longer wait. 1−5pm is when I like to go otherwise we will do take out if we’re really craving the food. Restaurant guests are mostly Asian so you know this place is good! Go if you’re open to eat some really good authentic food. Some items will probably sound weird but I’m sure it will be tasty!

Authentic, fast and delicious. The food is absolutely incredible. I crave it. The restaurant is small but efficient. The waiters are attentive and the restaurant is very clean. You can’t be disappointed.

It’s a bit out of the way for us but whenever we get the chance we would come here. Seating is limited, and on weekends it fills up very quickly. I heard there is wait time even on week days for lunch… This is a good Chinese restaurant with various options, even though it has«Sichuan» on its name. You can find plenty of non-spicy dishes not originated from Sichuan here. However, the most popular dishes are still the spicy ones. I enjoyed the hot pot spicy fish, as well as the«farmer’s fish» with fish in a spicy broth with tofu and pickled veggies. The duck here is famous and yummy, as well as the noodles. Highly recommended.

I’m not a big fan of Chinese food but this place is amazing. I’ve been here now four or five times and every time we come here, we order a ton of food and walk away with leftovers feeling very happy. Everything we’ve ordered from their menu has been delicious. Definitely try their deng deng noodles — it’s fantastic. The service is decent as well. It’s not a big restaurant and yet, they have a team of servers and they all run efficiently. It is in a strip mall so if there’s a wait and it’s cold outside, you may need to wait in the car. This is our go-to Chinese restaurant.

It is must place to go if you are in the area. I love this place, it is bit far for me but if I’m in the area this is the place to go. It is good for vegetarians like me. The food is consistent and always great. For vegetarian who don’t eat meat and are almost vegans like me some of the options Sichuan Style String Beans, Ma Po Tofu(without meat) and Chinese Eggplant with Yu Xiang Sauce. I also love the complimentary tea they have. They are quick even with big crowds and amazing customer care, everyone has smile :)

This place is AMAZING. Why you should come here: –authentic –If you LOVESPICE –Huge portions at great prices What to get: –Dried Xiang La Fish –Beef with Hot Green Pepper –Eggplant with Yu Xiang Sauce …Everything is so good. Some reviews talked about the cold Szechuan noodles, I’m not too crazy about it. Tips: –Come with more than two people, that way, you can order more foods to share. Do family style. –If you are coming to have lunch on Friday, beat the crowd by showing up early, before 11:45pm. –Only two credit cards per table

It is incredible to think that you can get such authentic Szechuan food outside of Chinatown. This place is every bit as good as restaurants you will find in downtown Boston. Amazing. We tried Dan Dan noodles, Crab Rangoon, Old Sichuan Chicken, Yu Shiang Chicken, Scallion pancakes, Szechuan meatballs — all were excellent and very authentic.

If you’re looking for authentic Sichuan cuisine, this is the place. We fell in love with the good our first time. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food is a bit on the spicier side. Go for the Dan-Dan noodles. Possibly our favorite. The Wontons in sweet chili sauce is worth a try. Our regular order includes the dry chili chicken and the Mala Lamb.

Omg what can i say about this place… absolutely ridiculous good asian food and vegeterian friendly too. Had been meaning to go since i heard some reviews from friends so it was final we guys made a trip down on a cold freezing. night It is a very small place and looked packed luckily we got a table at the end away from the cold. The menu looked tempting so we ordered 5 dishes between 4 of us. veggie fried rice, veggie lo mein, dry chili chicken, chixken with napa cabbage in spicy sauce and veggie delight. They give u some herbal tea to start which was really good. The started coming in quick one by one and pretty soon we were munching on one of the most deleicious asian foods. The food was so good and even my couple friends who are not big on asian food absolutely loved it. Once we were done and got the bill we were shocked to see how cheap it was. 58 bucks for five dishes whose quantity was huge is practically nothing when you are so popular but then i guess that is reason they r so popular giod food at leass price. Cant wait to go again… my go to place for asian food
