Really good food, the only problem was the waiters/waitresses kept staring at us and after every sip of water they’d fill it up again and again it was extremely annoying,

We ordered take-out on New Years Eve for lunch! The food was, by far, the worst i have ever had anywhere. Everything dry, old, and cold. Unfortunately, we won’t be going back… too expensive to waste money on such poor quality.

I went recently for the lunch buffet and it was pretty good overall. Avoid the Crab Rangoon and the Chicken wings but other than that I have no complaints about the food quality. It is pretty standard American Chinese food. Good value for all you can eat and the owner Rick is a super nice guy. I will return for lunch again.

The theme of my more recent reviews are about reviewing the most«Billerica» places in Billerica and Rick’s definitely IS the most«Billerica» place in Billerica. But unlike my other reviews, the food here is good. They have lunch buffets in the afternoon and seating is normally easy to find at dinner time. They also have a large function room available. I recommend the general Gao chicken and crab rangoon and the PuPu platter. Their Wonton soup is probably the best in Billerica. Even now that I’m vegan, I still have an excellent choice of food at Ricks. Their Scallion pancakes and vegetable mooshoo are good alternatives to their menu if you’re vegan but spicy eggplant in garlic sauce is amazing. One thing though, the bar can get loud at dinner with the sheer amount of Billerica contractors trying to get a few beers in before going home to their wives. The other thing that makes this restaurant so great is the namesake, Rick always tries to say hi to you if he is there. He absolutely appreciates your business and he is a great guy.

This was a place lots of high schoolers would hang out(when I was in high school) and we even had our rehearsal dinner here years later(in the back room) and while the food was good then, I think it’s lacking flavor now, years later. We came here as a double date while visiting home and the crab rangoon had more mayonnaise in it than the imitation crab. That was something I always liked about this place was that it differ in that sense. The scorpion bowl was good but again, it was mediocre. Maybe my taste has changed? But everything lacked a lot of flavor.

Just OK. I probably wouldn’t go back. Everything was mediocre with the exception of the beef teriyaki, which was freakin’ fantastic.

My boyfriend and I get take out here at least once a week almost! I think their beef and broccoli is some of the best I’ve ever had!

I love going there for the food and atmosphere. As far as the angry bar review goes: I don’t frequent that area, but I have never seen anyone mistreated in the bar area… Rick has always treated those I know who do/have frequented there with respect. BESTCRABRAGOONINTOWN and I recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Billerica area looking for Chinese food. The only negative thing I have to say is that I recently tried the duck for the first time… Seemed like the plate had more lettuce than anything else. A bit disappointing.

My husband and myself had a great experience at Rick’s yesterday. We ordered our usual, rice, general chicken, szechuan beef, and noodles. The waitress was quick to take our drink orders and consistently filled up our water and drinks. Our food was great it was exactly what we ordered. The owner even came over a few times to ask us how we were doing. At one point my husband had half of his chicken left because the portion size was so big and he was full, that Rick asked him if he wanted it reheated to his liking so he could finish. The best part was Rick the owner knew multiple customers by name and their families. You don’t see that in majority of shops and the comforting demeanor he had towards his customers. I thoroughly enjoyed my entire experience, even after we had our fortune cookies, Rick came over with two more but chocolate, mints, and some take home tea bags! Can’t wait to go back!

Awful food. The gravy for egg foo young was dried up, the wings looked like they were sitting for hours. Avoid this restaurant

I don’t understand the negative reviews. You’re going to a chinese food place for greasy food and scorpion bowls and complaining about grease? Anyways this place is awesome. They just need to have the staff do a run through and clean the shit out of the place because it is a little dirty. Other than that good food, and strong drinks. The only scorpion bowl in town that doesn’t taste like Caldwells and pineapple juice. Come here if you want to get drunk and have some greasy shitty food!

Repulsive. Aside from their apathetic approach to «customer service,» the employees walk around popping food from the buffet into their mouths and don’t wash their hands before handling bar fruit or touching supposedly clean plates. While walking to my seat, an employee, intent on heading back to the buffet to stuff something else in his mouth, continued to walk towards me without even noticing he was bullying me out of the aisle to my seat. The food is gross, soggy, and mysteriously labeled with grease stained index cards. The curtains, chairs, and carpets are old and smelly. Also, there are photographs on the wall of a dead person in a casket. You couldn’t pay me to return. Find somewhere else to spend your money.

I was just recently here, and the food was great! It was fresh tasting and just the way I like it. The owner is super friendly and it really effected the atmosphere, which I liked. I was here on a Friday night and it wasn’t super packed, parking is convenient. I’m a fan.

Place is terrible. Food is average for what it is. Food is loaded with grease chicken fingers are soggy along with the rest of the food. Place smells funny inside the local drunks love this place at 12 in the afternoon and the bathroom is totally nasty. Floors are sticky and the place just feels dirty. Would not go there again.

Grabbed lunch here with a customer as well as some chow to go. I had the double cooked pork with PFR and a chicken wing. The pork and the wing were very good but the PFR wasn’t that great… just my opinion. For take out I got the General Gao’s Chicken, beef teriyaki and southern style fried rice. I didn’t like the the Gao’s…BUT…I’ll write that off because that dish never really travels well. The rice and teriyaki were good. Worth a return for sure… Rick gave me a pat on the back when I was leaving and said«thank you for eating here and if you liked it tell a friend»…a very nice touch. The lunch beer was ICE cold by the way.

This place is one of the friendliest restaurants and bars I’ve ever been. Rick is always around and is one of the most affable people I’ve ever met. He’s determined to make sure that you are well served, that everything is well taken care of and he puts himself out to make sure every experience is a great experience. He goes the extra mile to make sure everything is well taken care of and it absolutely shows. The restaurant is always well taken care of and clean and the food is always excellent. It has a pretty standard Chinese food menu and includes all of the popular dishes, sesame chicken, General Gau/Tao’s chicken, egg roll’s, dumplings and so on. After hours Chung King has an excellent bar. The drinks are very well made and can pack a little bit of a punch. They have great Scorpion bowls and frequently Rick is around there as well. This is a very good Chinese food Restaurant and the fact that Rick is always around to make sure there is top notch service makes this one of the best out there. Enjoy your meal there and say ‘Hi’ to Rick.

So… I like old fashion cantonese style chinese food. That’s what this place is. Reasonably priced drinks and basic chinese fare. Food is average, plentiful pour in your Hawaiian drinks, and the atmosphere is dark and cozy, the way I like it. Give this place a try, you’ll be satisfied.
