Steak One

Wow, not sure how this place is still in business. Horrible service and horrible food. On their website it asked for special instructions on the food as well as how to get into apartment gate. We were still called on how to get in. Also, when the delivery guy came to door we flat out asked did you read our special requests? He openly answered no. hmmm, a bit crazy to me. I told him that this is ridiculous. My husband and I used to order a lot, but stopped due to this kind of stuff. We decided to give it one more go, obviously a huge fail!!! Never again will we make this mistake. Burgers were disgusting, and not prepared properly.

«Cheese fries with chicken». Obviously we have a very different definition of the amount of cheese on fries qualifies the use of calling them «cheese fries». Chicken was tough and dry. Overall a huge disappointment. My husband liked his Chicken Alfredo well enough. The fried mushrooms were alright. My daughter’s Pasta with meatballs & marinara was very soupy.
We tried a new place via Grub Hub. I don’t think we will try it again

Worst food ever. Seriously like I may be sick. Don’t do it.
Okay so I wrote that last night after eating the food and unfortunately I was correct! My stomach feels like a damn bomb has gone off in it!!! So unless you want food that doesn’t taste good and to spend a large amount of time in the restroom I suggest you eat elsewhere. That or pay $ 14 for some chicken Alfredo that will make you sick.

Was great last time

This has got to be a joke. I should have read these reviews first before ordering. I placed an order online over two hours ago with my debit card. Just called the place and they said they don’t have my order. Who knows… maybe I saved my self from food poisoning. NEVER AGAIN.

NEVER AGAIN. Used to order around once a week, and found it’s like playing russian roulette with food. We will get horrible food and even more horrible service (don’t even bother calling if your food is wrong) but sometimes they get it right so we keep ordering. Hey, they deliver steak after 11 pm. I get it. I do. It’s an amazing business idea, with horrible execution. I recently had issues with the apparent manager. We received our food and one of the meals was wrong, so I called in — days later, and a long story short, the police were called. No I’m not joking. I sincerely hope the owners of this place make some changes, because until then I’ll just order pizza.

We ordered from here tonight and I honestly cannot tell you how gross. People were very nice but food was very gross. We actually could not eat it because everything was raw. The hamburger had bacon on it that looked like was dipped in hot water… It had no texture and looked liked the rubber bacon strips you give to dogs but even worse. Wish I could post a picture it was so bad. The blt my boyfriend ordered had bread that was so soggy and one tiny piece of lettuce and tomatoes that looked like they had been bought 3 weeks ago. My little boy that is four couldn’t even eat his quesadillas … And he eats ANYTHING. The chicken had whole pieces and shredded pieces that looked like been soaked in mayo??? The fries tasted like… Nothing … And my burger I couldn’t even remove the bread because it was stuck on hard cheese. We called to let them know about the bacon because that was the worse part and could have made us sick and they said they would send over another order … We called back and said never mind for $ 40 we could go out to eat or buy something for me to cook. So we asked to get our money back and they kindly accepted and said okay. This place must be a cover up or something because what was on our burger, sandwich, and quesadilla no «cook» «chef» or normal human being would have sent that out. My 4 yr old even made a comment when we pulled this «bacon» off «mommy what is that?» … Worst then McDonald’s and I hate McDonald’s

First of all, everyone I dealt with was very kind and polite, so I wish I could say more for the food. I ordered the vegetable soup, which on it’s own was okay (it could have benefited from more seasoning). The vegetables in my salad were pretty beaten up and flavorless, but the worst part was the chicken on top. It was incinerated — tough as nails, and even charcoaled a little bit on the sides. I’m sorry to say that despite the nice staff, I won’t be ordering again.

Usually order at least once a week from these guys and its usually pretty good. Decided to go with the chicken sandwich tonight and specifically put ketchup and pickles only. Sandwich showed up wrong and and my order of fries was almost non existent. The only good part of the meal was the cheese sticks. The salad showed up soggy and the paper bag had ripped and everything spilled into the main bag. Not too mention nothing was warm at all, all room temperature. Been playing with fire I guess and I was finally burned by this place. Might not come back. Severely dissapointed.

I ordered a long long long time ago (was unimpressed with service and food due to simple disrespect and tasteless food) and decided I might give them another try since I recently moved back in their service area and they had left a menu left on my door. I have had a stressful week and haven’t cooked much so I had ordered in quite a bit and was a little tired of pizza, so I decided I would order food from here again. The lady on the phone was extremely nice and should be promoted, however the length of time that it took for it to get here was way longer than the 45 min– 1 hour quoted. When I finally got my order, I opened 2 cold boxes of food that have obviously been sitting for some time. The price was astronomical and the food was extremely bland. Their food prices are ridiculous. A double cheeseburger costs a MINIMUM of $ 11.99. Which I feel tasted like a Burger King burger. I ended up ordering potatoes skins, which surprisingly had chicken on them, but unsurprisingly had ZERO flavor to them all! After ordering once before and now again, I for sure will not be ordering anymore food from Steak One!

I tried this place before i read reviews on Unilocal.It was very good. I ordered fillet mignon medium with salad and fudge cake and onion rings. Everything was very good But for the onion rings which were very good except that they were warm not hot. If you are tired of pizza or Chinese I would recommend giving place a chance. They deliver later than most places. Overall I believe it to be better than average food. The steaks are always been very good. The menu is excellent.

I have ordered from this place before literally because there was nothing else open and I can’t leave work to go pick anything up. Total waste of time and money. The first lady I talked to was very nice and helpful when I called about delivery info. When I called back to place my order, I heard the voice and remembered it was the same jackass I had dealt with before. Horrible customer service, food I wouldn’t even feed my starving dog, and outrageous delivery times. Don’t understand why it takes so long to deliver since this stuff obviously just comes out of the freezer. Serves me right for not just being late to work and picking something up. Not to mention astronomical prices for food that tastes like crap.

WHAT EVER YOU DO, DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS HORRIBLE PLACE! I ordered from Steak One on a Tuesday night through the grub hub app. I didn’t want pizza and this was all that was left for delivery so I gave it a shot. Delivery time was estimated by the app at about 50 minutes. Quoted delivery time passed and then some, so I called grub hub. They let me know that they would call the restaurant and get back with me. While they were calling, the order showed up. Over an hour delivery. The driver was RUDE when I asked him why it took so long. After he left, opened up the food to eat, and it got even worse. I ordered a sampler type appetizer, and a chicken fried steak. EVERYTHING was cold and soggy. Chicken fried steak was a PRE BREADED FROZEN piece of meat that was about as thin as a small magazine. All of my appetizer items were horrid. I immediately called grub hub back, and let them know about the issue. Said they would call the restaurant and get back in touch with me. When he called back he informed that the restaurant REFUSED to issue me a refund! Absolutely RIDICULOUS! Will be dealing with this issue continuing tomorrow, grub hub staff was actually nice and helpful, said they will speak with another manager tomorrow. If I’m not issued a refund I will dispute the charge with my credit card company. Once again DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS HORRIBLE PLACE! Rude staff, ridiculous delivery time, and HORRIBLE CHEAP OVERPRICED FOOD! PLEASE GET THE WORD OUT ABOUT THIS PLACE!

I couldn’t even get my order placed. Apparently, you can not ask to hold on while asking your friend for their order without getting an attitude. The lady on the phone clearly did not want to do her job. If you don’t have what you want to eat ready to go and out of your mouth within ten seconds of this lady’s barking orders, don’t even bother placing an order.

Delivery took nearly 2 hours for lukewarm wings and stuffed jalepenos that were mediocre, at best. Then, both of us spent the rest of the evening in the bathroom, due to undercooking, excessive MSG, or some other form of food poisoning! Second and last disappointing order from them. No stars, as far as we are concerned!

If you stick to red meat, it’s almost worth it. The steaks and hamburgers are delicious, but as many others have stated, the rest of the food is sub-​par and a waste of time and money. Wait time is exceptionally long, order totals often don’t add up, and customer service is lacking, but it is what it is. If I’m too lazy to cook and want a delicious steak or burger and can wait an hour and a half and am willing to pay more than the menu suggests due to fuzzy math, I’ll order from Steak One.

I decided to give this place another shot, seeing as it had been 2 years since I last ordered from them.
I ordered cheese fries with chicken, spinach raviolini, and 2 cokes.
Honestly, the best part of this meal was the side salad I got. The cheese fries were very plain. Basically the cheese was already hard and the chicken was incredibly dry. The spinach raviolini was incredibly greasy, probably because it was white sauce. I couldnt find a place on their site to order, so I had to call it in (which is fine), and it took over an hour to get here.
All in all, it just wasnt worth it.

I placed an online order, which Steak One claims to have never received.
I called at 1:40 and they weren’t even open on time. By the time someone picked up the phone, it was after 2:30pm.
He was very rude on the phone, but I ordered anyway. As soon as I mentioned I had a certificate, he got very annoyed and said that I had to come and pick up the food. When the menu advertises: «All we do is delivery»
I cancelled my order right there on the spot. So glad I did, since I came here to
next and saw all the bad reviews on the food.
I’m on my way to Popeye’s for chicken, instead of ordering some buffalo wings from this dump. Don’t waste your time.

I came home to my apartment this afternoon to find a Steak One Menu on my door. The menu was well done so I decided I would give it a shot.
I called in and ordered a steak one combo, some chips and salsa and a coke. pretty simple… $ 20 and over an hour later I got my food!
At first the price didn’t bother me but once I got my food I almost died. First off I opened my nachos. Extremely stale big round ballpark chips with Pace Picante sause as salsa… wow. (I literally think these people got the old nacho chips that the ballpark in arlington was throwing out because they were too stale to serve)
Second I go for my meal. Now on the menu it says «stuffed jalapenos, Potato skins, chicken strips & cheese sticks». for the jalapenos and cheese sticks I want you to think straight out of the freezer section at walmart, but worse! There were only 2 tiny ones of each and the cheese sticks were the nastiest, most processed things Ive ever had! The jalapenos actually tasted decent… Now on to the «chicken stripS» well I only got 1 and it was also a dried up, overcooked, microwaved disaster. Last but not least there were the potato skins. Now i will give it to them, these big old skins looked really good! chicken and cheese on top and everything… not so much on the taste though. they were unbelievably bland. I had to smother them with hot sauce from my cabinet to get some sort of taste out of em!
So the food was terrible… oh wait I also ordered a coke for $ 1. No foutain drink for me, all coke in a can. Now I’m thinking for a $ 20 meal I could at least get some kind of quality but I was sadly mistaken. If you are contemplating this place for dinner… you are better off with the leftovers in your fridge!

total was over 40 dollars and I thouht to myself is this red lobster or what? I went ahead and ordered it and a hour later it got here. I ordered the so called chicken fried steak and that was the worst chicken fried steak I’ve ever had! it looked and tasted like something they got out of the walmart freezer section. and my girlfriend ordered some kind of ckicken breast. she only ate a few bites because she said it didn’t taste very good and was really dry. what a waste of 40 dollars. well, I guess I learned my lesson. I will never eat at this place again! even if I was starving to death and they offered me a free meal. believe me it’s that bad.
