Plan ahead. Staff unprofessional long wait times in high season. There are so many other restaurants in the area who will appreciate and value your business. Food is at best mediocre. If you need to eat on the resort bring your own food or grab snacks at cafeteria.

After our first experience at the horrible Mile High Tavern– we were so happy with our experience at this bar & café. Our bartender Tammy was awesome, and really just great to talk to. Everyone there was upbeat and positive, all of the food was good and/or smelled amazing. The fire place in the middle of the dinning area was perfect to warm up next to. We had a wonderful experience here and it was so reasonably priced.

This restaurant is located right next to the lower high speed quad chair lift. From the same or near the same amount you pay at the View Haus cafeteria, you could get a bigger portion here. Simple bar food; Burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders. Seating: Visiting on MLK weekend I’m glad we took a break right at 1. The hostess offered us a bigger table since that was the only available and we were just a party of 3. Awesome of her. After we were seated and through the course of our meal the wait for tables were lining up with hungry skiers and boarders. Granted MLK weekend for ’14 was packed due to all trails and lifts open AND fresh powder in some areas. Service: Our server was slightly attentive, though I don’t blame her as it was starting to turn into a mad house due to the volume of people coming in. She had no problems splitting the check BYHAND, since they don’t even have computer terminals for the bill which she joked with us. I gave her 20% for her service with a smile and great attitude. Food: Portion size, I say this is the best bang for the buck on the mountain. I ordered nachos,(just regular round tortilla chips and what tasted like velvetta.) Anything someone can make at home but for $ 6 compared to the same price at the View Haus, this was a whole tray full vs a sampling at the cafeteria. The nachos were great to snack on, though I wish they brought it out before the entrée. For my main meal, I ordered chicken feet. No, not the dim sum version here. They call it chicken feet on the menu, cause they don’t believe chicken have hands in order to make chicken fingers. Make sense I guess. This also came on a whole tray full. 6 medium size chicken«feet» with a stack full of fries. I didn’t get to finish my fries really. When you’re taking a break from all the shredding, the grille is a slight walk from the #5 quad lift. Great value for decent food with big portions.
