Wow. This location has some of the worst inventory of any retail store I have seen. They never have what I am looking for and I now drive out of the way to visit the Edgewood store rather than wasting my time pulling into the parking lot maze in Bel Air.

Never had a problem here, except with the poorly designed parking lot. This is in the plaza just across from the mall, in the same plaza as Michaels, AC Moore, Red Lobster, and Barnes & Noble. The plaza is all connected, so you can drive around to get between the stores without going out to the main road, it’s just kinda hard to find your way until you’re more familiar with it.

Serious problem price-matching here. Came in for 10 led light bulbs. Had called on the phone earlier that day to verify that they had them and that they were the EXACT same ones. Well when i got there. They were not even close to the ones i was asking the person on the phone for. NICE. So i decided to get a different brand and price match. I get to the counter and they say they don’t price-match. I had notified them that i had made purchases before and they price matched without a problem. All they kept doing was saying sorry. This is for online ordering. I purchased a patio set on June 20, 2014 and was told it would be delivered to the Bel Air, MD store between June 27-July 2. In time for the holiday weekend. Yay. Oh… no email so on the 2nd I stopped by the store and the lady there called online ordering, they traced it and said it would be delivered on Monday. Monday was yesterday and still no patio set or word. I called online ordering and the young man I talked to contacted the carrier and said it would be in today. I expressed that I was very disappointed because when I bought it I was given a delivery window that was not honored. He said, well we don’t really have control over the vendor and shipper. I said, that’s interesting and all, but I bought and contracted with Home Depot. So basically we got no where. Maybe I’ll get it today, more likely I won’t. I will never deal with Home Depot again except for miscellaneous cans of paint and heater air filters.

I go to this Home Depot when I’m in the area. I tend to prefer the location on Route 40 because it is typically easier to find someone to help us. This location can be a little bit harder to get help; especially when its busy. When its slower the people can are very helpful. It also has the best garden area during the spring/summer months.

I stopped in here because I needed three things: mouse traps, a squirrel proof bird feeder and some blinds. They only had the crappy mousetraps which you have to bait, none of the nice Victor ones with the fake cheese that work so well(but I have a mouse problem, or more precisely, my wife has a mouse problem that is my urgent problem) so I bought in inferior traps(and ordered the better ones off of Amazon this morning). The bird feeder selection was mostly lame as well. A bunch of plastic ones that the squirrels can gnaw through with a minimum amount of effort. I bought one wire enclosed plastic feeder, which I have had before. The plastic breaks down from exposure to the elements in 18 months. Lowes has the nice wire only feeder which I know will last much longer. Lastly blinds. They only had two packages that were the width I needed, both boxes had been previously opened. I also wanted to get some extra hay for my chickens(none there) and a replacement snow shovel. They have an outstanding selection of snow shovels, get yours now before the first flakes fly. Lots of employees walking around and talking to each other, but none asked me if I needed any help.
