Authentic Indian fare, full menu, friendly manager. Pekora is hot and reasonably priced, makes a great snack. Curried goat was a little bony, but very flavorful. Convenient parking right on Hillside Ave.

The food here is great, the chicken is delicious and can be spicy or mild. This restaurant can also serve vegetarian food. However, they make the food fresh so there can be very long wait times for food.

A quiet, out of the way restaurant that serves amazing Indian/Pakistani dishes. The place gets busy late night but I always get take-out anyway. Highly recommended food and they have an assortment of sweets to choose from as well.

Two days I showed up for their lunch buffet and they had just decided not to set it up for those days. Unforgivable since people make plans. I was given a card to call in advance but when I tried the number, no one was answering. On the days I did have the buffet, I was impressed and would have become a regular customer but if you get there after 1:30 p.m. and some food items are gone, they don’t replace them. Plus, no dessert offered as part of the buffet. For 3 dollars more, I would go to Jassi’s. In fact, the owners of King of India should go to Jassi’s to see the setup. It might inspire them to do a little better.

I stopped here after landing at JFK and was starving while sitting in traffic. I only got samosas and pakora to go. They took a freaking long time because they were making it fresh… it was also probably about 100 degrees in there, I have no idea how people were sitting and having a meal in there. Once the food finally came out(30 minutes later) I was fairly impressed. Can’t comment on anything else on the menu, but 4 stars for the appetizers we got and minus one star for how long it took and how freaking hot it was in there… open some doors people!

I got steered wrong, you people below must be high or something, because I went here recently and it was pretty terrible. First of all, you know something’s probably wrong when you walk into a restaurant and there’s no customers and nothing going on ATALL. Then I order a basic dish, a chicken biryani and some naan to go, and I get some really mediocre to terrible Biryani with mystery pieces of meat in it, and no sauce or condiments given with it which is truly inexplicable, and a tinfoil thing of wilted lettuce or something instead. The bread was ok but the point is the food was bad and not even served properly like any other Indian restaurant, so I will not be returning. Thank God I only threw away $ 10 instead of $ 20 – 50 or whatever. This place has a great location but they need to really amp up the food, service, everything if they are to compete with the other Indian and Pakistani places around Queens. Even the halal carts a few blocks east of here are yards better and cheaper! Sorry, but an epic fail.

Just got some shahi paneer. And it tasted very bland. No «shahi» part about it, just paneer. First time there, but I don’t think I will be going there again.

Stopped in for take out tonight at this new place and found my new favorite Indian Restaurant. The owners were sweet people who welcomed us. I ordered the chicken vindaloo and Michelle had the chicken tikka masala. We got home and had one of the best Indian meals ever. The chicken was tender and moist. The vindaloo was perfectly spiced and was delicious. The masala was the best I ever had! The only reason I did not give the 5 stars is because I need to try the other items on the menu!
