Horrible! They give such a small amount of rice to go with your order that it’s barely enough to complete the meal. I called to complain and they refused to provide more rice. Never ordering from here again.

I was so disappointed. The hall was nice. I heard the food is good too. We went to speak to the owner, Mr. Singh. I told him the date that I want. He started running his mouth about the menu, how the decorations will be, etc. As we were about to leave, we told him to please hold the date. He said, «Yeah yeah don’t worry don’t worry it’ll be available.» We called back 2 days later. He said the hall was already booked to begin with and that he didn’t check it the day we spoke to him. Umm… what the hell? That was very unprofessional of him. A professional businessman asks the venue date, checks his availability, and let’s the client know ONTHESPOT. But I guess that’s what we should expect since he told us his actual profession is as a contractor. This is a very UNPROFESSIONAL business. And if you’re planning on booking with them, don’t fall for his fast-talk. Make sure he ACTUALLY checks the date and you sign a contract as soon as possible, or else you might fall in an unfortunate situation like we did.

First time ordering for delivery. I called before asking if they deliver to my neighborhood and they said they do. I placed an order for the vegetable biryani, aloo gobhi, vegetable pakora, and the vegetable Gobi Manchurian. Along with a garden salad. The food was great — if you’re sensitive to spicy food you better let them know when ordering. If you like spicy, you will love it. The only bad experience so far was that when it was delivered we gave the delivery guy a nice tip and he tried to say that the boss would not deliver to us anymore because we are too far and tacked on a $ 10 delivery charge without notifying us! To the owners of this establishment: firstly, 4.4 miles away from your location should not be too far for an order over $ 60. Secondly, don’t ask your delivery boys to do the dirty work for u. Notify your clients ahead of time. Lastly, if you want to make more money, you would think of expanding the location that you cater to as we are vegans and would have been regular customers if the experience would be hassle free.

So I recently had take-out and ordered the Chicken Tikka and Palak Paneer. Delivery was fast and garlic naan and chicken tikka was delicious. I heard great things about their palak paneer but I was really disappointed. Other than that I like this place

I dont know if I just got unlucky, but i was disappointed with the food here. I gave them 2 stars for the service. The chicken in the biryani was spoilt and i gagged and threw it up in the trash. The drumsticks were better but the chicken chilli and the noodle i had to remake by adding salt pepper but still the chicken smelt strange. Looking at the other reviews, it might’ve been just plain unlucky, but i do not plan to reorder from this place again.

The food was amazing. I ordered from grubhub and it came right on time or maybe a little earlier. I have plenty leftover. I definitely will order from here again.

If you don’t mind waiting over 2 hours for your delivery, this is the place for you! And good luck trying to call and communicate with the people there-not a word of english. It’s too bad because the food is outstanding. Oh and the delivery guy blames traffic meanwhile they are a mile away from my house. Get your S**t together!

Been to way too many family occasions at shahi darbaar, honestly I love the food it’s some of the best I’ve had on that hillside area! Also their service is great they are always catering to your needs very easily and efficiently. Only problem is the locations they are located in the inner streets not on the main road!

I live by so many Indian restaurants and I must say this is my FAVORITE! The chicken in their dishes even seems like a better quality, beautiful pieces of tender, mostly white meat chicken. I don’t know how else to explain it but even I’ve ordered elsewhere I notice that I crave Shahi Darbars, seriously even the meat is better. I cannot get enough of their Chicken Korma! Then there’s the texture of the Naan, I LOVEIT!(It’s a little different texture but it’s great!)They didn’t have a delivery person for the past 2 times I called to order so I called my 2nd fave Indian restaurant and I just kept wishing I was eating Shahi’s food. I cannot give a higher praise, this place is fabulous and both my husband & I LOVEIT!!!(&THEYGIVEYOURICEWITHYOURENTREE!) Try this place, you will not be sorry, I still haven’t dined in but if the take out is this good I can imagine dinning in would be even better! Oh abs my husband eats A LOT and we ordered 1 chicken korma(comes w/rice), 2 naan & a pander pakora appetizer & had more than enough to eat with left overs(lunch today!) Do you get great portions for a good price… Try it!

This restaurant is hidden and is not noticed by people. Awesome food and service. If ever getting delivery through grubhub, just make sure first that they have a delivery person available. Other than that, no complaints.

I’ve never been there but I have ordered through grubhub and the food tastes great! I don’t know why there are so many negative reviews but I def. love their food. The only other Indian restaurant around me that delivers is Jassis and their food has no flavor… every dish tastes the same to me although the restaurant is decent looking. I actually never wrote reviews but after my 8th time ending with a happy tummy. I think they deserve a review.

This review is regarding their catering service and only catering service as I have never dined at their restaurant before. We hosted a bridal shower for my sister yesterday, Jan 5th, and were a bit disappointed in their services and food quality. We arrived at the hall at 12pm as our party started at 1pm and they were not ready for us at all. Outside it was 10 degrees and inside the hall was around 60 degrees — it took authorization from the ‘manager’ to crank up the heat — by the time the manager showed up, it was 12:45p — strike 1. The chair covers and linen were dirty from the party night before — strike 2. They do not provide cloth napkins or more than 4 glass glasses per table — yes, your guest will be using paper napkins and plastic cups for your party — very embarrassing and low class — strike 3. The food is okay at best — nobody complimented us on the food at all. Icing on the cake — they charge 15% mandatory gratuity which we learned of after the party ended. The so called manager is a firecracker and she speaks right over you without listening to your side of the story… its a personality thing. End of the day, lesson learned — will never do business with them again.

Doubt there sanitation standards, at times it smelled like throw up in the main dining hall. Food was so so, but the owner/management was not courteous(rather nasty) at all. For a group of six and more they charge 15% service charge and seriously believe that it adds up to their profit, as their waiting staff are FTEs. Waiters complained that they did not get the tip, and when we tried to discuss and explain(service charge concept, that it should be shared with the waiting staff) this matter with the owner, he was almost ready to fist fight. They quoted an all inclusive flat rate per person, in advance, and when the bill came it had 15% service charge and the 8.75% taxes added on top of it. We ended up paying 25% over what was quoted.

I would say 3.5 stars for cuisine and 0 stars for service/attitude. It was Thanksgiving weekend and hubby and I wanted to stay home. I looked on Seamless to see who was nearby for delivery and saw that Shahi Darbar would deliver, although the delivery estimate was noted as «45−60 minutes». That was fine for us, since we were ordering around 5 and we’d probably be hungry around 6 anyways. I placed an order for chicken korma, goat jalfressi(sp?) and naan. My order was placed at 5:09 and I got the confirmation e-mail from Seamless at 5:11 which notes that the restaurant has accepted the order. Now, I’m not a newbie to Seamless as I order from it quite often at work so I know how it works. The delivery estimate is usually pretty accurate so I wasn’t expecting any less from Shahi Darbar. So at around 6:15, I’m wondering where my food is. I call the restaurant and the woman who picked up told me, oh it’s on the way, 5 – 10 minutes. At 6:45, I call the restaurant again, and this time, the man who answers told me that it’s also«on the way, 5 minutes» to which I replied, «the other woman told me that 30 minutes ago, and I only live like a 5 – 10 minutes drive from your restaurant TOPS». Incredibly, the man asks if I’d like to call the delivery guy myself… and I tell him, uh NO, YOU should be calling him, this is quite ridiculous for a delivery to take two hours, don’t you think? At around 7pm, our food finally arrives, lukewarm. I don’t know what the deal with this place is, but since the food was only mediocre and not AMAZING, I will never order/eat from this place again. As a last note, the food was tasty but not spectacular, VERY spicy even though mine was noted as mild and the portions were pretty large for dinner.

I’ve only been here twice recently after reading the reviews on Unilocal. Lamb Curry Not too much meat, but enough for two people to share with another side dish. I ordered it extra spicy but it was medium. This is a catering hall type of place so I’m guess they cook to cater to a wide audience, this may be why it was kinda bland, not spicy. Chicken Biryani Decent amount with a good portion of chicken, but one again I ordered it extra spicy and it was OK, not spicy but the other spices help to enjoy it. Lamb Biryani I explained to them that on my prior visit my food wasn’t spicy, they got the point and kicked it up on this dish. O yea, still feeling the burn but its so good! Generous portions of lamb with this dish, definitely recommend. Gulab Jamun Only two pieces and wasn’t warm. I like it warm. OK to have if your staying in but I got my order to go; for some reason you want an extra piece at home with a nice warm cup tea. Oh well lesson learned. Prices The curry and biryani were price fairly, no complaints. After kicking the burn up on my second visit I’ll definitely be back…

So far the best Indian take out I have ordered! Looks like it is also a nice restaurant. Their website is . I had the pleasure of ordering the Malai Kofta which was cheese balls stuffed with vegetables deep fried and cooked in coconut and cashews. It had a thick gravy consistency and very rich so I had to eat this in two meals in lieu of one it is very rich and very tasty. Nice big portions. My husband ordered the Lamb Vindaloo and was very happy with his dish. It was a good value for what we paid. He stated that he was given a bigger portion than other Indian restaurants. We also ordered the Ras Malai for dessert which was very delicious. We would order from this place again.

This place is good, have visited multiple times and have had multiple dishes was never disappointed. I had arranged a small party for my friends, was nervous if they could keep up with large orders — they raised the bar even higher.

I recently worked at this venue photographing a pre-wedding ceremony for the groom. I was pleased with everything here, for what it was, everyone did their best to make everything go smoothly. The food was excellent, the service was very accommodating and helpful, and the party was lively and fun for the folks. I am not Indian, so I don’t know exactly what kind of Indians I was photographing, but they were a happy bunch and thank goodness the air conditioning was cold, because it was 90 degrees outside. The lighting was also well thought out and easily accessible. I would recommend for the locals in the area to check it out for a small party.

After my fav TO — GO indian/pakistani restaurant closed down, my bf and I need to find a fast alternative. After stumbling upon its to-go menu at some establishment we took a big leap and ordered for delivery. Good thing we did! We ordered food for delivery here twice and never been to the actually restaurant. I told my BF to pick up food to see how the place looks and its a RESTAURANTHALL where parties are usually held. The actually restaurant where people can sit order and eat is down at the basement. He said that the place was empty but the place looks nice. So upon his comment I WOULDN’T EATHERE. Take out is good for me! and plus eating indian food at home is way better so i dont have to be so conscious of how im eating with the server staring at me! We ordered CHICKENTIKKAMASALA and asked for it to be EXTRASPICY as some indian restaurants alter their cooking according to the american palate. Another item we ordered was the LAMB/GOAT VINDALOO and also asked for it exra spicy. Their dishes comes with tpical basmati rice. We also ordered 2 order or naans and with tip for delivery the bill came up to a total of 30 dollars! pretty cheap!
