Rainer Title was the escrow company for our recent condo purchase, and working with them was pretty smooth sailing. There was a hiccup early on where an employee kept forgetting to reply all to emails and didn’t send us a couple of the documents she listed out in her email, but that was sorted out with some phone calls. When we were signing all our documents right before closing, the employee working with us(who doubles as a notary) was patient and helpful in explaining each document to us and giving us as much time as we wanted to read through them completely. We were also given clear wire transfer instructions, and they were responsive when we mentioned that we had wired the funds to them and that they should be on the lookout.

I’ve been very lucky with the homes i’ve bought, always worked with great people and companies on the transactions. The only bad one was Jan and her staff at Rainier Title. I used this firm for escrow on my home purchase and they were just downright disrespectful as the other reviewers have said. Clearly Jan’s focus is on the real estate agents who bring her the business. The end customer like me is of no interest and she makes that very clear! She and her staff ignored me through the whole purchase process while jumping to attention when my real estate agent contacted them. Jan almost never replied to any of my emails. Her staff were hard to reach by phone, never called back. Even when i wired money and they promised to notify me when they received it, they of course failed to do so and i had to get my real estate agent to contact them to check on it. Even when my real estate agent told them how unhappy i was, Jan was nowhere to be found, obviously she could care less about customers. If you want customer service or just someone that treats you with a bit of respect, stay away from Jan and her crew at Rainier Title

Disrespectful and do not explain what you are signing until you ask every paper. When you ask to be explained — you become a bother and the atmosphere in the room gets really tense. Terrible experience. Stay away. Terrible customer service skills.
