No vegetarian options. Only 2 pieces of spinach in the ramen and a few bamboo shoots. Noodles were chewy. Spent $ 12. Ive never had bad ramen, but this isnt a place I would go to again unfortunately.

Food was delicious, 5 stars, but way overpriced. Portions were small and they were charges for extra meat, noodles and others. Service was very friendly and lots of parking.

The place is really cute and clean. Hasn’t been there too long yeeet. The menu is a little small but it seems like what they have is enough! I got #8 I think haha and it was so good. Broth is nice and spicy, the noodles were the perfect consistency? It was good. The server was also very nice and attentive even while it was slow. It’s odd the server squatted down to take our order. Like all the way to the floor haha might be a Japanese thing? Anyways I’d recommended this little place.

This place is just okay compared to kukai and santouka. I ordered a shoyu ramen and while the broth was tasty, you don’t get any regular toppings without the add ons which cost more. And the toppings they do give are not much to begin with.

It’s not going to be my ramen place. The taste is just not there for me. Nothing special. Sorry. I only just wanted to give 1 ½ star if I could. Not worth trying.

Came here in December, a few weeks after the grand opening, with my parents. It’s a small restaurant, sparsely decorated at the same shopping center as some of my other favorites, Yeh Yeh’s and Café Ori. The first thing I noticed was that the menu was extremely confusing. They have ramen costs + all topping costs + individual topping price. You don’t know what comes with what. We ordered a Chicken Karage appetizer which the portion size was quite small for the cost, but tastes good. I ordered the Spicy Mazesoba which is a Nagoya specialty according to the menu. I would say the broth was a spicy maybe pork based broth with a stronger fish flavor than regular Tonkotsu. Topped with ground pork and egg. I wish I had know as I don’t like overtly fishy flavors, but as I ate through the bowl it began to taste better. I tried the Tonkotsu broth as well and it wasn’t quite as rich & flavorful as others. Service was friendly and the food came quickly. I think everyone in the shop was native Japanese, which I love, but there was a slight language barrier in explaining the different ramen types. They also forgot to put in the order for my Mom, despite writing it down and reading it back to us. As of now Ramen Yoshi is in 4th place on my Eastside ramen totem pole behind Jinya, Kizuki(formerly Kukai) and Santouka. I visited their Facebook page and scrolling through their recent posts noticed they have redone their menus and the increased the portion sizes of the Karage. There’s lot’s to improve, but it seems they are making efforts. I’ll definitely be giving them another visit soon.

I really wanted to like this place. It advertises in Japanese, and seemed authentic, but the ramens didn’t quite live up to expectations, especially given the competition in the area. First came here on opening night, and ordered the yuzu shio ramen, and it was great! Compared to the yuzu shio at Kukai, the yuzu shio ramen at Ramen Yoshi has a little bit more of the fresh zing to it(I think I read somewhere that they grate fresh yuzu zest into it?), which I liked. Also ordered the miso tonkatsu, and bleh I don’t know what went in my mouth! The tonkontsu looked a bit too dark, tasted not only too salty, but also like it had been soaking in sake for a long time! Decided to come back a couple of nights later to try other ramens, but they were too salty, greasy, and the noodles were a little but too mushy/soft for me. I also complain about the ramens at Jinya being salty and greasy, but flavor-wise I find Jinya topping Ramen Yoshi just a bit. If I feel like eating yuzu shio ramen and don’t want to drive longer distance to Kukai, I might come back, but not for anything else.

Came in for lunch today and had the Yoshida Jiro ramen with soft boiled egg and bamboo add on. Bowl might look small at first but they surely packed alot of food into it. Service was friendly, pretty fast and the place itself was clean. They offered low sodium or traditional broth which I went with the latter. Even so I thought the broth was underwhelmed. Ramen noodle was cooked nicely not too chewy or soggy. However, the noodle that they use is very thick, a bit too heavy taste for me. Presentation was ok, pretty plain looking bowl of ramen even with the add ons. Price at ~$ 9 is comparable with most other ramen places with add on at $ 1.5 each. I would come back again and try their Yuzu and Spicy miso ramen, hopefully those will be better.

Came in for lunch today and tried the shoyu ramen. Service was very fast and the place itself was very well kept. I would recommend definitely getting the low sodium option for the ramen. Even then it’s still pretty salty as far as the shoyu broth goes. Presentation of the soup was pretty, and I liked having the pork slice and bamboo shoots in it. The soy sauce flavor is strong. The taste of the broth is good but doesn’t beat other ramen places like Hokkaido. The price at ~$ 9 is decent though. I tried the tonkotsu and felt that it was very oily broth. The miso was good though it was tangier than what I was expecting.

Great, authentic Japanese ramen from a trio of Nagoya cooks who’ve joined forces to take on the US. Quite generous portions compared to other Eastside ramen shops. I got the spicy ramen and the heat level was perfect. I’ve eaten at Kukai, Jinya, and Santouka — this is my new«go-to» ramen place on the Eastside. This restaurant reminds me of the hole-in-the-wall places I used to frequent when I lived in Japan. If you are disappointed by the sparse décor, stare at your phone.

Soup base was very tasty. Meats were good. The portion was ok. I will say they are charging a premium price. Which is fine if they can offer a bit more volume for food. A full bowl loaded is around $ 14 to $ 15 and when I finished I was still craving a bit more food. It is definitely worth trying.

[Dine-In experience] This place is a high 3 and the reason for that is because their ramen is great but the rest are mediocre. We went when we were starving and the little hungry person in me decided to order 2 appetizers, the takoyaki and karaage, and felt that they would not be something I would order again. However, I really loved their ramen and loved that they offered a spicy option as some of the other ramen places in the area do not offer the same. I highly recommend coming here for ramen with a nicely balanced broth and noodles. My only critique about the food is that the egg lacked flavor compared some other soft boiled eggs. Meanwhile, the service was good. We got our food fast but my only suggestions are is that the tables should be wiped after the previous guest leaves and really getting the waiters to understand the menu a little bit more. We found that the spicy ramen had 2 spice ratings and when we asked what they meant, they gave us a very unclear answer. Otherwise, this place was great and I would come back here again. Dishes ordered: Takoyaki, masaage, spicy ramen

After reading through the reviews, I get the impression that people are expecting typical American ramen. The décor/ambiance here was outstanding and felt a lot like a ramen shop you’d find in Japan(although much less crowded). I ordered the shio ramen, and found it to be on the thinner side of shio, but certainly not in a bad way. Great flavor, perfect saltiness, and the noodles were very, very well-made. Thick enough to ofter softened texture, but thin enough to open the flavor of the broth. Price-wise, it was fair for a regular-sized bowl, but I would say that their«regular» is actually quite small compared to many places I’ve been to, both here and overseas. Certainly worth visiting! It’s easy to tell that this ramen was carefully prepared.

I had Yuzu shio Ramen & Yoshida Jiro, and both taste wonderful. I tried every single Ramen shop in Bellevue and Seattle area, and I highly recommend Ramen Yoshi. Meat is perfectly cooked and tender, Noodles have a nice tooth, the broth was savory and flavorful, a handful of bean sprouts & I added an egg, and it was perfectly«Hanjyuku»(Soft-boiled). Hungry, Cold & want some good Ramen? «Ramen Yoshi» will not disappoint you. I can not wait to try Spicy Miso Ramen next time.

Over priced. Especially with add-on extras. Too salty. Can they make a good bowl of ramen with lesser salt? Too little food. Still hungry after eating.

We ordered Tonkotsu, Yuzu-shio and Spicy Miso Ramens for each. All of them taste great! Tonkotsu soup and spicy miso soup are not heavy and greasy at all. They put real peeled Yuzu in Yuzu-shio ramen, which is so flavorful. What I liked most is the texure of noodles. They use thick egg noodles which give us a perfect al dente texure. This is an important point in ramen for me. Simple Tonkotsu ramen for $ 9 comes with Chashu(Pork belly), Negi(Green onion), Shinachiku(Bamboo shoots) and Nori(Dried seeweed). If you need an egg, it’s an extra charge of $ 1.50. I am very satisfied with the taste:) They offer real Japanese Ramen! The interior of the restaurant is quite simple but a huge symbol, the face of Mr. Yoshida, is on a wall. You see his face in dishware, too. I look forward to having Maze soba when it is available. That must be good, too!

Overall, I’m quite satisfied with ramens this new restaurant offers. I tried yuzu shio, tonkotsu, and spicy miso. Soup is less greasy than other ramen restaurants without sacrificing kick to it. What’s most striking about their ramen is the smooth and bouncy texture of noodles. It requires no effort in slurping the noodles because of the smooth surface. As you bite into the noodles, you will feel adequate bounce followed by pleasant fragmentation. I enjoyed every bite of these thick, yet supple noodles. I wasn’t a fan of the logo of an Asian cowboy you see on the wall and all the plates and bowls. The décor is nothing you write home about, either. However, if you want to simply enjoy a high-quality ramen, this is the place to be.

Food review! Got back the next day to give fair review! Well, actually the place was packed with mostly Japanese and some Gaijin like me also escorted by Japanese. Maybe that’s how they advertised? Well, I got the Tonkotsu ramen which was mentioned as #1 popular: 9.00 for just a slice of butt chashu, green onion, memma and piece of nori seaweed… Pretty shabby looking bowl. Actually ordered ajitama to make look better which costed me additional 1.50. Soup temp was good, but they seem like using chicken fat instead of lard which was giving pretty awkward taste, making overall flavor pretty bland. Noodle was not alike usual ramen noodle, not soggy but little too chewy to me like eating over cooked pasta. Décor looked pretty ghetto for a new establishment with weird logo with owner?‘s face all over the place even on the plates… Seems like still serving limited items, and sounds like the non soup ramen to be their real popular item. Will give a try couple months later after the whole operation gets settled.
