Tried out this local brewery after reading about it on Unilocal. The pizza was good, the beer was great, and the service was excellent. Everyone we talked to was friendly and attentive. Our food arrived really quickly, just a few minutes after we ordered it, despite our being there on a busy Friday night after work. There were toys and coloring books to occupy our young kids, which allowed my wife and I a rare opprtunity to relax, enjoy our tasty beers, and talk. We’re looking forward to going back and have a new place to eat and relax after a long work week. I’ll recommend it to my friends. Bravo!

Fantastic place to have a casual(great) beer and pizza. Best of all-it’s owned by a small group of local families.

Shared a beer tasting and some breadsticks with my husband and both were delicious! The Gold Digger and Hysperia were my favorite beers. Love the pizza dough recipe, a bartender told us the brewer makes his own yeast for the dough. It really had something special! We will definitely be coming back here before we leave Seattle.

Love this place! Good regional beers. This NY transplant says best crust on the Eastside.

Resonate is a brewpub located in the Newport Hills neighborhood of Bellevue. Not exactly a place you would expect given the residential feel of this area. It is one of only 3 breweries located in Bellevue. The other ones being Bellevue Brewing and Geaux Brewing. They have about 7 in-house brews and also offer beers from other Western US craft breweries. Also available is a food menu which includes several varieties of Roman-style pizza which are priced similarly to Serious Pie and Tutta Bella. You can also create your own pizza with the available toppings. Rounding out the menu are a few appetizers and salads. You can sort of see the brewery outside as there is a window. As for the dining room, there is bar seating as well as some booths. There is also a long communal table in the middle of the room. The dining room does get pretty loud and rowdy when there are a lot of people. Prices for beer flights(5 oz.) are in line with other breweries I have visited in the Seattle area, though the regular size beers(13 oz.) are priced a buck or two more than elsewhere. There is a happy hour in the afternoon though in which beers are discounted. Ordered the Paradise Coconut Porter($ 6). It is a dark colored beer that I thought was just okay. I didn’t really taste the coconut in this brew. Also tried slices of several specialty pizzas including the pepperoni($ 11.50) and Medusa($ 15.50) pizzas. The pepperoni was predictably good, but I liked the Medusa better as it had a spicy kick and has feta and Kalamata olives in it. I think Resonate is worth a try if you are in this area as it is one of the few eateries in this neighborhood. But more notably one of the few craft breweries in this part of the Eastside.

Good quality food and pizza. It’ll do just fine here. They are stringent on the no substitution policy on their menu but I think they should bend that rule and allow for the split half and half. But for now, don’t expect them to do this. Other than that, all is good here! Had the kids pepperoni, the special Pilgrim, the Brewers salad and a side of meatballs. Prices are a bit high-$ 8 for appetizer meatballs. $ 4.50 for a glass of Pellegrino! $ 7 for a kid pizza. $ 13 for a full salad(albeit the biggest they have). Pizza was $ 16 – seems high for the size that came out. We will be back…

Glad there is a new brewery in the south end of Bellevue with bike racks outside and plenty of parking spots! I enjoyed the ambient of this place. Menu were brightly lit and easy to read on the wall, there were plenty of menus when you walk in as well. Came here for dinner around 8 pm and there were plenty of seats. They had the sounders playing on all the TVs and projector with the volume turned up, but not loud enough where you couldn’t have a conversation with the people you are with. We had the surf + turn pizza and glass of Snaggletooth: imperial coffee stout. I give the food 4⁄5: clams and bacon is pretty original idea, haven’t tried something like this before. I thought the bread of the pizza was quite airy with a crunch to it though the bottom side was on the darker color. The stout was smooth, can taste the hint of coffee. Not bitter. It’s pretty much a self service type of restaurant, which makes it efficient. You order your food up front, get your number, find a seat and the servers bring you the food, beer, and plates. If you ordered a soda or wanted water you would have to grab those yourself. When you’re done, the servers will come by clean your table and it’ll be ready for the next customers. While eating the pizza, our server did come by once to check on us to see if we needed anything else and what we thought of the food(pizza). In terms of price, I feel like the pizzas are bit on the high side($ 13-$ 15) for the size that they are. The prices on beer are about average for brewery(~$ 6). I’d return again. I’d like to try the other beers they have to offer.

I wanted to love this place, but a few things left me not wanting to return. The food was decent(overpriced), but that was it. We sat at the bar and the bar tender was horrible. He was more interested in playing jokes on his fellow servers than greeting us. Took several minutes to even get 1 drink, and then we were rushed through our service to the point where I had my phone resting on the check and the bartender yanked the check out from under my phone so that he could see his tip. I would not return due to poor service. You can get great pizza a lot of other places in Bellevue.

Update: 5 Stars solidified — the pizza is still delish!!! Plus, they now offer two more ways to get beer on tap to go: a can(good for a week before you open it) or in howlers(1L or 2L, vs growler) to go!!! The beer is canned on site as you wait. Alternatively, the howlers are like insulated aluminum/tin nalgene’s that can be reused for other liquids(… tea, water, etc) at home. Both options are way affordable. And should you opt for two howlers, you can get a neat wood carrier for them. Epic hipster win! Open late and with the beer menu constantly being updated, you would be wise to become a regular at Resonate!

Love this place for the whole concept. Specially because in the area there is nothing around so we needed this. The pizza is one of the best bread and their beers are pretty good too. It’s kinda nice to support local food, restaurants and beer! The only reason I give 4 stars it’s because this place seems like a day care. I have been here a weeknight n weekend and it’s crazy the amounts of kids screaming. Everyone in the area bring theirs kids and they don’t control them. They scream and run around like it is their home and I dislike the fact that parents and management don’t do anything about it.

This was a great brewery/restaurant in Bellevue. For beer, I had o e of the German style alt beers. It was good and had good flavor. For dinner I shared one of the pizzas. The pizza was delicious. The crust didn’t overpower the pizza. We shared the high voltage and triple trouble. Next time I might get pizzas that weren’t so similar but they were still very good. The portion size was perfect to share between 3 people. Overall, I enjoyed the food and beer here. I would stop here again sometime.

Overall, I’m giving Resonate Brewery a 3.5 star rating. I’m bumping it to 4 stars because it’s a family friendly, casual, no frills neighborhood joint that has decent eats and cold beer. Prices are also cheap with drinks and food ranging from $ 5-$ 13. My one regret is being too full to try one of their pizzas(maybe next time!) Though I enjoyed sharing a beer on tap, cheese/meat platter, and bread sticks with friends, I would really only recommend Resonate Brewery if you live closeby. Located in a residential neighborhood in New Castle(in between Bellevue and Renton on 405 /exit 9), it’s pretty quiet and low key. It was so low key that I drove by it. Hint — It’s right by Bank of America and the Mustard Seed Grill. The tables are first come first serve and the ordering system is efficient. Similar to ordering coffee at a café, you walk right up to their line and order at the front register. If you get food, you’re given a number to put on your table, and someone from the kitchen eventually brings your food out to you. Final thoughts: Food: 3.5 stars Atmosphere/Ambiance: 3 stars Customer Service: 3 stars Cost: 4 stars **Overall: 3.5 Stars**

This place is pretty fantastic! A great addition to what seems like«meh» plaza/shopping center. This brewery and pizzeria is right next door to Stods indoor batting cages. Date idea, people! They have SOMANY options of beer, a few from their own brewery and the rest from around US. My guy had the house made IPA(atomic ipa or something) and said he enjoyed it! We will see how their other brews are… Two cider options currently… both on tap though! When I visited they had the Seattle Cider– Dry and the Schilling-ginger. The pizza was pretty amazing, BUT it is sourdough. They don’t advertise that ANYWHERE. I looked all over the chalkboard menus and nada. The triple trouble pizza was delicious. It had pepperoni, sausage, salami, and mushrooms as the toppings. The pizza was a great size to share with one other person… with 3+ it’s an appetizer. They also offer salads, desserts and BYO pizza! I’m excited to return and try a different pizza and maybe even indulge in some warm brownie with ice cream !!!

Resonate was our first stop on our brewery mini brewery tour from last weekend. Here I got the Atom IPA and Steve got a Coconut Porter. The brewery has a nice set up and they serve food! The IPA was pretty bitter but still enjoyable. Steve’s Porter wasn’t bad but the coconut seemed a bit too subtle in the overall roasty taste of the beer and wasn’t necessarily the best Coconut Porter that I have encountered in our years long wonderings of breweries across the country. Still while nothing was bad here it wasn’t as memorable as I was hoping.

This review may be a little preliminary, since my first and only visit(so far) was with the kid, and we ordered a kids’ pizza(pepperoni), half caesar salad, and spinach and artichoke dip. I’m giving it a four-star review more as a preliminary matter based on how good his pepperoni pizza was, the trillion options they have on tap for beer options, and the fun ambience(large warehouse-like space with mini tvs throughout). I intend to come back to try other pizza options, and will update the review upon that experience. For now, here’s what I can offer based on last week’s experience: 1. The pizza was really good. Granted, it was the kid’s pizza, which appeared to simply be a full-sized pizza cut in half, but the dough was perfect(not too doughy or thick, and perfectly chewy), it wasn’t overly doused in sauce, and the cheese was good. Given this, I am anticipating that their fancier pizzas will be very yummy, so I want to come back. 2. The caesar salad was pretty basic. Nothing to write home about. 3. I wouldn’t order the spinach and artichoke dip again. It was pretty ordinary and came with undressed pizza slices. Don’t waste your $ 2.50 to add bacon. There’s barely any bacon added. 4. They’ll give you samples if you’re unsure what beer you want to opt for. I tried the coconut porter which was pretty good. 5. The place gets pretty crowded, even though it is a big space, so plan accordingly. Update to come after next experience, so stay tuned!

It’s probably a little rude of me to say, since it might evoke old Seattle attitudes toward the burbs, but I hadn’t realized that there were strip malls and whatnot tucked up in the hills over here in Bellevue that had been here this long. That’s not a knock on the building at all – it feels truly brand-new inside. But you’re driving a ways to get to Factoria, and then you’re climbing some winding hilly roads to find the address, and then… well, there are hardly any streetlights, so it almost feels like a vacant lot for a second, but there it is. There’s plenty of parking, and the place is absolutely packed. What this is, even after just a few months in operation, is the family watering hole of choice for an entire neighborhood. Packs of kids in matching rained-on game-day sports uniforms, moms and dads in team hoodies, teammates across the room, neighbors over there, relatives over here. Everybody knows everybody, everybody’s glad to see everybody, the hustle and bustle lets everybody hang out and have their own space amid the crashing waves of crowd around them. It’s a really nice feel, because everybody seems really happy – it smells great as soon as you walk in, especially when it’s busy and lots of pizzas are cooking. You know the beer is fresh; you can see the brew tanks right through the window right when you walk in. Mood enhancers are in full effect. The staff are super nice right from the start – they put out a music stand full of menus and beer lists by the door, so you can pause to place your order at the counter. Music stand. Everything here feels like they support their local educational institutions, including that music stand, which feels like they musta got it for a couple bucks at the junior high fund raiser garage sale. Seriously, the implicit signals of community here are everywhere. Anyway, pick a pizza and a couple beers, and place your order. Turn around and pick a picnic table in the dining room. No idea what this place was before it became a pizzeria/brewery, but it could’ve been a lot of things, because it’s huge, and they clearly renovated it to make it what it is now. They framed in the brewhouse, the bar, the back hall/bathrooms, and a good-sized kitchen, all with just the right amount of space, and left room for a huge row of stools and several rows of picnic tables. There’s lots of free space between things, because, presumably, they knew their all-ages dining room would be packed with energetic kids. They were pouring three house beers – an APA, a wheat IPA, and a gose. These are cool choices for approachable, sessionable styles that they can use to build flagships for their lineup. There are plenty of moms and dads here with beers in front of them. The dads can gather under the flat screens to watch the game if they like. Their beers are definitely in the ballpark of where they need to be, which suits the somewhat more ambitious lineup of styles they’ve chosen. It’s not your usual blond, porter, amber, ipa, and so on, that most new breweries offer. It’ll be interesting to see if these guys try to build a reputation for their beers at other beer spots, or if they sell most of them in-house. We didn’t try the pizza, but only due to timing. They smelled incredible, and looked great. We toyed with the idea of the charcuterie plate, but it looked like $ 2 worth of supermarket charcuterie, and nothing else, and cost $ 13(at least). The whole menu of beer and food is on a gigantic 12′ high chalkboard over the bar. This place is a pretty damn long drive for me, but I’d happily come back.

Awesome little spot in Newport Hills! This place reminds me a lot of the Sahara Pizza that used to be across the street; largely because there are batting cages right next door and this mirrors the setup that was there years ago. The specialty pizzas are tasty but a little on the pricy side for the neighborhood. You see competitive value when you look at the«build your own» menu starting at $ 10 for cheese and sauce with toppings ranging from an additional $ 1.75. This is a place to come and enjoy the food, not the prices. Beer selection is very diverse and moderately priced. I saw beers from Oregon, Washington, and California on the menu and I’m pretty sure there was one or two from Montana but I don’t recall for sure. The staff is friendly enough, especially the GM, but they don’t tend to check in very often. Yes this is an order at the counter setup, but I don’t want to have to snap my head around to track someone down for another drink. The night we were in, it was packed and it looked like they were short staffed; three servers and one person at the register. Overall, I’ll be going back!

A beer hall in the boonies Ambience: 4 Food: 4 Drinks: 3 Value: 3 Resonate brewing is a modern beer hall in a strip mall in the back waters of Factoria(it is across the street for an entire swath of abandoned store fronts). The interior is pretty nice, with TVs all over; on game days(which is when we were there). They will project the game on the wall with sound. Very nice place to watch the game. They bake their own pizzas, which enables them to have some neat combos, like a surf and turf that’s clams and sausage. They have some pretty good fresh salads too. The portions though… tend to be on the small size. The beers… are a bit disappointing. It’s not very tasty. They have a fine selection of visiting beers from other breweries. Though all are at some pretty high prices. Overall not bad, but better(certainly better priced) alternatives are available.

I am somewhere between three and four stars. Their beer is good, and they’ve got several guest taps which I really like. They aren’t yet brewing on site, but that’s in the works. From what I can tell they’ve been brewing at Postdoc and Hi-Fi until their brewery is up and running. We had the WHIPA and the Dobro, in addition to one guest tap. Both of their beers were quite tasty, no complaints. $ 5.50 each for their beer and $ 6 for guest taps, depending on ABV of course. They also have a crowler machine, $ 8.50 a crowler and only filled with their beers. Love crowler machines, they’re just fun :) The food… Well, it’s was ok. The man and I both thought it was overpriced, and no we aren’t cheap-o people. $ 14.50 for a pizza that was of moderate size. Slightly burnt but nice and airy crust. The breadsticks were $ 5 and decent as well. The bill with tip was $ 43, a bit steep for lunch. Ordering is weird, even if you’re at the bar you have to go down to the cash register to order. We didn’t know this until someone told us. There is a sign that says that but we didn’t notice it. Self serve water too, so I’m not absolutely sure what you’re tipping for. Actually I’d rather go pick up my food at the window and not have to tip at all. Well all that really does make me sound like a cheap a$$. Ha! Oh, and as I like to do I checked out the can. It was nice and clean and up to my standards.
