The Lounge

Quinn is friendly, fun to chat with, and is outstanding at what she does. I first met her more than ten years ago when she worked at a downtown Bellevue salon, then followed her to a different business, then followed her again when she opened The Lounge. I wouldn’t think to get someone else to cut my hair.
As other reviews have said, she is amazingly good at a delivering a consistent haircut. I look like me, every day and after every haircut. This is a huge value to me as I’ve been unpleasantly surprised in the past, or just had things a little off, or I have to wave my hands and try to explain what I want over and over because they don’t remember me from the time before. In the more than ten years Quinn has been cutting my hair, I’ve never been disappointed or felt self-​conscious about a bad haircut.
I am a triathlete and often shower twice a day when training, and I drive a convertible. Years ago I asked her to give me a style that I could just towel dry and style with my fingers, no driers or brushes or combs. I also wanted one that but wasn’t all that different from what I already had. Combs and blow driers don’t work for that. She gave me a great style that I still wear. And I don’t have to explain anything, I just get it. Sometimes I ask for a little longer, sometimes a little shorter, mostly I just get a cut.
The ambience of her business is great. It’s a private enclosed area with a sliding door, so you don’t feel like you’re lined up in a room of guys getting their hair cut. There’s just enough glass to not be claustrophobic. The building is well located, has sufficient free parking, and has a Scotty Brown’s, a Lunchbox Laboratory, a Tokyo Steak House, and a French Bakery. After a haircut I often stop by one of those (OK, usually the bar at Scotty Brown’s!) and have a beverage.

Quinn is absolutely amazing!!! I came in an had an idea for a haircut and she made it happen. She is a perfect blend of a stylist and barber. I definitely would recommend her to anyone looking for a perfect haircut.

Quinn cut my hair a few months back. I was trying to grow my hair out, but it just wasn’t working for me. I went in, we talked about what I wanted, looked at some cool styles on her iPad, and then she got to work. She cut my hair perfectly and even trimmed my beard. I left feeling like a million bucks. Now, my hair is getting too long again, so I’m making an appointment right now to have her work her magic once more.

I have been a client for many years due to the fact that Quinn give a consistent cut time after time, and if I want to change it up she is in tune with mens styles enough to make suggetions and keep me looking good. In my experience it is very difficult to find a good stylist and she is as good as they get. Bonus points located in Bellevue with free parking, a stocked fridge, good tunes, sports channels and a friendly, kind and warm demeanor.

Quinn specializes in men’s hair. Bottom line, she gives amazing hair cuts for men. I’ve been a client of Quinn’s since 2001 and have followed her as she has moved around to different salons in the Bellevue area. Why do I keep going back?
Outstanding, consistent results — Ever had a bad hair cut? yeah, its the worst. That does not happen with Quinn.
Experience/​Expertise — Quinn focuses specifically on men’s hair and been practicing since 1998. She understands what looks good on men through years of experience and continued training.
Outstanding customer service — Quinn takes the time to really get to know you, understand who you are and the look you are trying to achieve.
Awesome person to chat with. Quinn is very bright and is genuinely interested in talking to you.
Realistically, if you are a 4 in terms of looks… she’s probably not going to be able to transform you into Brad Pitt or George Clooney. Sorry guys. I guarantee she can help you jump a couple points though.
I wouldn’t even consider letting another stylist cut my hair. Yes, her prices are higher than other salons, but you definitely get the value out of it.
