I was referred to Alina by my wedding planners. She did a great job on an expedited timeline. She had to take in the dress (a few times!) and she added sleeves. It turned out beautifully. Thank you, Alina!

Alina altered my ballgown that I am competing in for a ballroom dance competition. In a competition all eyes are on you and your dress so it has to be perfect. She brought up the hem, brought in the zipper, and added bra straps. She is professional, meticulous, and fast. I will be back and I trust her with any of my gowns.

I came to Alina with a last minute request to hem and adjust the straps on a dress I got for my birthday. The dress was covered in beading, so it was definitely a challenge. Not only did she take my request last minute, but she did a phenomenal job! I love the way it turned out and fit! I definitely recommend to take your items here, she works magic! I never thought I’d see that dress fit me correctly. I cannot thank you enough Alina, you really helped make my birthday that much more special!

Alina is very professional and extremely pleasant to work with. I found Alina on Angie’s List and was impressed with the number of «A» ratings and reviewers’ comments. I needed to hem my Tae Kwon Do uniform but due to an impending promotion belt test (and family emergency) I was unable to give an acceptable lead time. Alina was very accommodating to my circumstances and was able to turnaround the job within 24 hours! I found her prices to be comparable to other tailors and have heard that she’s willing to work with you to match her competitor’s rates. Alina is an excellent craftswoman who takes pride in her work and listens to what you need done. Moreover, although I live in Lynnwood, it was very easy to locate her address if traveling down I-​405. I highly recommend hiring The Seamstress for all of your alteration needs.

Alina always does great work and is very kind, polite and cares very much as well, she takes pride in her work. She’s a single mother works hard and makes sure you are happy before you leave. If you aren’t she will the problem until you are.

Alina did a fabulous job with the alterations on my bridesmaids dress. And I’m not talking little, easy alterations. I’m talking total dress reconstruction, here.
See, the bride wants what the bride wants, and my sister only wanted dresses from J. Crew that didn’t come in my size. I ordered the largest size they had and began the hunt for a good seamstress.
Even though she’s in Bellevue and I’m in West Seattle, I chose Alina because she had five star reviews on every site I checked and had done a lot of work with formal and wedding attire. I didn’t want to risk my dress on someone who had less than stellar reviews.
We talked about what needed to be done, Alina took a look at the dress, gave me a price that was right around where I figured it would be (quite frankly, she should have charged me more), and she got started. She was great about texting me pictures of the dress at different stages – including when it was completely cut in half– and worked with me through three dress fittings until I had a dress that not only fit, but looked like it had, in fact, come in my size in the first place. On the day of the wedding, you couldn’t tell it had been massively altered.
My husband also had her alter his suit (pants and jacket), and she did a great job on that too.
I can’t recommend Alina enough. She made a scary alterations situation very painless and I will definitely use her again. I have been and will continue to tell everyone I know how fantastic she is!

I have been going to Alina for a couple years and her alterations are outstanding, from small adjustments to major, high end designs. I am impressed by how quick and accurate her alterations are; she is talented, skillful, creative, friendly and professional. Alina went above and beyond what I could have ever asked for! I came to her to make a tulle sash for my wedding dress. Not only did she make me a beautiful sash, but she saved my wedding dress. I had my dress altered by another company and when it was done, I was handed back an ill fitting, frayed and in some places unraveled Chantilly lace dress. I was distraught because this was just days before my wedding, I thought there was no hope in making it better. Alina saw the problems with the dress right away. She fixed the issues that evening with the fit (correcting the bust, figuring out what was creating the bump in the stomach area, taming the frayed and unraveled lace, and sewing in holders so the bra strap didn’t slide up my back). She even took the extra time to figure out a better way to bustle my dress. I will only entrust Alina with my alterations from now on. I highly recommend her!
