A not-quite-my-style establishment made ridiculously awesome by the other patrons, both for their mingling ability( Unilocalers) and people-watching value(all others there)! Even in my sorry state I couldn’t resist barreling my way to the dance floor and shakin’ a little tail feather. I also liked being greeted by name at the door by the bouncer. It only lost a little bit of magic when I realized I was still wearing my nametag from the previous event at El Gaucho. For a minute there I thought I was famous. +1 to Rebecca’s «the VIP area was Suh WEET» And so, for that matter, is Rebecca for organizing this! Looks like we have a party planner in our midst, people! This lady knows where the fun is.

I’d never, ever go here on my own. I likely will never even go here again. It is just not my scene. I’m not a fancy pants kind of girl. I like taverns and saloons, and this place is straight out of Vegas. But you know what? the Seattle area needs places like this. After walking shoeless from El Gaucho to Vertigo we were ushered right over to the VIP area which had been lovingly organized by the lovely Miss Rebecca L. Our own bartender, our own reserved tables, and no stinky cover charge. Yahoo! Apparently you can have this too if you just call ahead. They served up some tasty appetizers to us. Having not eaten at El Gaucho I partook of a slider, and let me tell ya, that little slider was double D-lish-us! Some sort of spicy-ness going that made me want more, but my proper upbringing told me not to be a glutton. Darn you mom and dad. Bartenders were friendly and quick on the service. One even gave us a head’s up when we’d left a drink sitting on the bar behind us as we hovered around the bar area chatting. Dance floor area wasn’t too overly crowded. I was too sober to dance comfortably and without reservations, and I wish the DJ’d played more than the opening riff of each song. You can’t play the opening 30 seconds of Don’t Stop Believing and then leave me hanging wanting more. Overall a great club. If this was my scene I’d definitely be back. Had I not been surrounded by so many wonderful Unilocalers I would’ve stuck out like a sore thumb and felt entirely out of place. Warning: there are a lot of Dbags here. It’s just going to happen. And if you are afraid of, or have a problem that causes you to stare at fake gazungas, then it’s probably a good idea if you stay away.

Big props to Rick who let us bring our party here for an after event. I liked the use of space where one side was more of a lounge area and the other side a dance floor. The appetizers they provided were really good, especially the burger. I didn’t really drink there, but the jack and coke I got was good(though you cant really mess that up). Not typically a place I would come too unless I was with a bunch of friends. A lot of metrosexual men who look like they live in a gym can be found here. The women here look pretty good. Here is a sample of a conversation I had with one: Girl: Are you an MMA figher? Me: Um… do I look like an MMA fighter? Girl: It would be a lot cooler if you were.(Walks off) WTF? Oh well, that incident does nothing to rating for this place, just thought it was a little funny and wanted to share it with the three of you who will read this review. Zipzap Zubidy Bop!

Ok. Thank you for the link to review JUST the event. Mad props to Rebecca for catching the ‘event planning bug’ and putting this idea up and running with for us all and getting the hookups! It was great to continue the Elite festivities with lounging and dance it up. The appetizers were just fabulous. Seriously… sooo many places don’t deliver, and Vertigo surely did. Good times!

Great music, nice choice of appetizers, and lots of fun seeing everyone all dressed up. VIP area was really nice, but staffing seemed odd. It wasn’t til the end of the night that I realized our area had a dedicated waitress!

I’ve gotta hand it to Vertigo, they run a good club and serve up some seriously tasty appetizers. A larger group of Unilocalers rolled into there after El Gaucho’s and Vertigo had the VIP all set-up for us. After some initial confusion about which part of the VIP was for us(apparently, the other section was reserved for some UFC folks) the night was hopping. Free appetizers kept coming, folks made their way out to the dance floor, and everyone seemed to have a great time. The bartender for the VIP was really friendly and personable, plus he poured some perfectly balanced drinks. Kudos for that. The DJdid a great job and even a musically un-inclined individual like me could appreciate how smoothly he segued from song to song. I heard dances mixes of songs that I had never heard before and enjoyed sitting back and nursing my drink and just listening to Vertigo’s sound system. While likely not a typical Vertigo experience, it was a great one and they really pulled out the stops to treat us to a fun night. Thank you Vertigo!

Thanks so much to Rebecca for getting this all set up! The music got better as the night progressed which was nice. The VIP area was fabulous and the appetizers that kept magically appearing were delicious! The place really started to get packed toward the end of the night, but that just made the dancing all that much more fun! I don’t know if this would be a place I’d hunt out on my own, but with a bunch of Unilocalers it couldn’t have been more fun!

Thank you Becca for making this a reality!!! We weren’t sure if we should go or not. I’m glad we did! The VIP area was great, the dancing was super fun, and the complimentary appetizers were pretty sweet. My favorite was the mini-burger. The only things that weren’t so great were the tight squeeze through the hallway(as the club filled up) by the main bar and the confusion with the tab at the end. My friend had started a tab with the waitress. When she went to close it out she waited a long time at both bars(especially the big one) just to have them tell her they’re not sure where her card is. After a while the waitress finally showed up and got it taken care of. It was kind of frustrating, though. My pictures:
