About a year ago, I was faced with a huge project having to remodel my old childhood home after it came into my possession. I was thankful at the time to have a old friend who referred me to My Plumber to discuss the remodel of the home. We were looking at having to rewire and repipe the entire house just to start off, plus having to demo and remodel an entire kitchen and bathroom. After sitting down with Manny and realizing he was able to do so much, I decided to proceed with him and start working on the piping and electrical. The first thing I noticed was his attention to detail and patience to answer all of my annoying questions because of the ignorance I brought in to the project. I ended up learning quite a bit thanks to Manny answering all my questions and explaining the best way to do things to save money and use it effectively when doing the electrical & plumbing. His experience and knowledge lead to finding clever ways to save money and time on the project. After a full repiping of the entire house, Manny showed how bad the old pipes were, reinforcing my decision to repipe in the first place. There were some pipes that were crumbling in our hands as we held them. The repipe was completed quickly and without a hitch. Five months later, I can say that I’ve had no issues at all. Last but not least, he hooked up a great piping system that runs to my laundry room without having to do anymore digging or removal of concrete which saved on my budget and time. The electrical side was a bit more in depth and the part I am most thankful for to this day. Manny did a thorough and detailed job. We walked through the entire house and mapped out where I would want switches and outlets to be to make things more convenient and customizable to my family’s needs. He had great insight on where to place outdoor outlets to accommodate every day life and decorating for the holidays. He offered ideas I had never even considered. That experience has made it a joy to be living in my new home. Inside the house, the switches were placed in a way that allowed me on entrance and exit to have a way to turn off the lights without having to backtrack through a long kitchen. He installed under mounted cabinet lights and ran the wire perfectly concealed throughout the kitchen. In addition to this, he installed an AC system along with a Nest thermostat. Manny was able to add built-in wall CAT6 cables for a modem hookup from the office to the living room. He is capable of pretty much customizing any project you can think of in your home to make your life that much simpler and efficient. Even once the main projects were complete, he came back several times for small things like adding a hard wired security light and additional outdoor outlets. Long story short, My Plumber is a great small company, with one man and his wonderful wife Beatris, that understands the questions and fear of going into a project like this. He is always punctual, takes the time to explain things in detail, and is completely understanding of your budget and considerations. I have made both a connection for any future work, as well as a friend, in Manny. I couldn’t have had better luck coming across this great company and his work ethic. Just know he will do all your work as if it was his own home he is working on. If things need to be caught up on, he will work until the next morning to get it done for you. I’ve never seen someone break their back so much just to make sure you have what you need. My Plumber is definitely worth giving a call for your remodeling needs. They do can do pretty much everything and are very clear with you with what you can do on your budget and make it come out great in the end!
