This is a family, friendly activity and a great way to enjoy summer in Whatcom County. Kids can run and scream with wild abandon here without disturbing other patrons. There is lots of entertainment to be had in the stands with mascot Dinger dancing and taking selfies with fans. Between innings, kids are often invited on the field to participate in competitions like trying to put on a frozen t-shirt. Our game experienced a rain delay, but that only increased the entertainment value. The players from each team headed onto the field for a spontaneous dance-off before the game was finally cancelled due to heavy rain. This«Magic Mike» moment is partly why I’m giving this establishment four stars. Don’t worry, they kept it G rated for all audiences. The baseball players are all college students during the school year. They come from universities throughout the U.S. and are thrown together in this fun league. This doesn’t mean you won’t see good baseball. The scouts are actively clocking the speed of pitches and looking for their next powerhouse player. Free parking is amply available across the street from the field. Tickets can be bought at the box office. $ 9 gets you assigned, covered seating on bleachers directly behind home plate which is great protection from sun and rain alike. $ 7 gets you open seating along the first and third base lines. There are special discounts throughout the season like $ 2 Tuesdays. Some games even end with firework displays. Check the season program guide or website for details. Standard ballpark food can be bought at the concession stand. Those who are 21 and over can even buy an adult beverage to enjoy during the game. It is a small venue and doesn’t hold many fans, but it was quite comfortable and an enjoyable experience.
