This place has changed my dads life and our family forever. No imaging was done prior to surgery to note that my dad should not have had the weight loss surgery. He now lives on a feeding tube and will the rest of his life. We almost lost him this last year, but thankfully he pulled through. He got down to 134lb and it takes great effort to keep his weight up. Be careful going in to any weight loss surgery, especially when they cut and throw away portions of your stomach. Once that’s done, it’s irreplaceable & could be life threatening. My dads isn’t the only case like this. There were 6 others on the same floor at Virginia Mason at the time of his admission. Weight loss is important for healthy living, but not as important as losing your life or your quality of life.
