The new layout to the Fred Meyer Gas Station on Lakeway is a major improvement. There are more lanes and pumps, the entrance/​exit situation has been cleared up, and most importantly: the rewards are amazing from Fred Meyers. I can use .30/.10/.03 rewards/​gallon depending on my rewards levels. This venue is a great relief for the South side of Bellingham.

Well, I just touched down and jumped in my rental car. I decided to run to Costco real quick to get some stuff and I get a low tire pressure light come on.
I pull up to this spot and I don’t have a $ 1 on me (I gave it as a tip to a shuttle driver at the airport). I was gonna do the buy and ask for cash back deal, but the guy just said no worries.
I know this might not be a big deal, but that is CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I have added time and date because that guy deserves a raise!

The guy I am dating and I whenever we cross the border to go grocery shopping we come here to get gas. It is 1⁄3rd cheaper. Here it costs 89 cents a liter to fill vs. $ 1.41 back home. The line ups do go long but they do go by fast. Sometimes there is an attendant to navigate traffic which is appreciated. You will always get that one jerk who cuts in front of you while exiting the FM parking lot but that is life… it can be full of jerks.
