I want to preface this by saying the food wasn’t anything special. Alone, just rated on the food this place in my opinion is a 3. So what makes this place a 5 then? Simply it’s the experience. If you’ve been around Bellingham for a while you’ve probably seen this place and wondered how it stays in business with nobody visiting it. I’d heard all sorts of rumors from money laundering, drugs, the owner is sitting on the property and more. I finally just had to give it a try and see what it was like. Upon entering I was greeted by a seemingly completely empty restaurant. A bell announced my entry, some light jazz started(there was no music prior to this) and after 30 seconds a gruff on the exterior but really nice old man(think the man from Up!) shuffled out of the kitchen and greeted me. The place isn’t fancy but it’s clean and in good repair. They had plenty of seating and while kind of a weird layout it was fine. The seating is sort of split into two areas which can’t really see each other and have about 4 tables each from what I could tell. After seating me the owner that earlier greeted me shuffled away. During my time there he was the only employee I saw. I think he’s the cook, dishwasher, owner, server and bouncer is required. My friends slowly arrived and we placed our orders. The food probably took 20 minutes to make, if you’re with more people I’d expect it to take longer because again I think he may be the only person working there. The food was again nothing special but please, go there for the weirdness. It’s so weird in a really fun way. Nothing makes sense, it’s one of those Bellingham oddities/mysteries that needs to exist!

Service was outstanding. Food was average. Honestly, the elderly man(assume owner) — it was like sitting with one of my European relatives. He sat us down and treated us as if we were in our own home. Service is a 5 the food was a 2.5. Used a coupon, pry not a repeat place though:(

I ate here10 years ago when I lived in Bellingham and ate here again tonight. Sure the place is dated décor wise but I’m not here for the flavor of artificial plants so who cares. We had the filet minon and smoked salmon pasta. DELICIOUS! We placed our order to go due to my wife not feeling well and the owner sat with me and chatted about Bellingham and its history while insisting I have a glass of wine with him on the house. He has been here since 67 and has seen this town become what is today. Noticed some shitty reviews by some obviously pretentious douchbags and if you are interested in nothing fancy but good food with good company this is the place.

Wonderful food! Quiet atmosphere and easy parking. They have a number of signature dishes and I look forward to trying them all. So far I have tried the Stuffed Sole and the Krem Fresh — a chicken dish to die for. I will be back.

A perfectly cooked steak that was absolutely delicious was my first experience with Sadighi’s. I’m personally surprised that this place gets so little business. It does have somewhat of a mysterious appeal being that it’s been there so long yet so few people have been there. I would and do recommend to anyone that they at least give it a try. I’m glad I did.

Had a pleasant setting. A nice couple took care of our table. We were the only customers, but food quality was good. You can tell the proprietress care about the place.

Sorry, but after watching a marathon of kitchen nightmares and reflecting on my own nightmarish restaurant experiences-the first that came I mind is Sadighi’s. I’ve eaten here about 6 years ago so I don’t know how much things have changed but based on other reviews, it doesn’t sound like it. I don’t know how they can keep their doors open when it seems like nobody ever goes there. I went there for dinner one summer evening-so dead you can hear the crickets. We were the only customers there the entire time. The menu seemed promising. I’m pretty simple so I just go for the fish and chips. We waited longer than I’ve ever waited at any restaurant, ever. Over an hour. Really, fish and chips? And we were the only customers? What the hell?! Thinking that this must be a great meal experience that we are about to embark on, we came to realize that we should have just abandoned ship. The fish and chips weren’t horrible, but nothing that I couldn’t have cooked myself in half the time. Actually, I think that they were microwaved! I don’t recall my friends’ orders, but they weren’t anything worth remembering. I give Sadighi’s 1 star for friendly service, but would not recommend eating here on any occasion.

Don’t know what some of these other reviewers are smoking, but this is hands down the worst restaurant in Bellingham, especially if you factor in the price. Straight from the freezer to the microwave to you mouth. Enjoy!

I feel like there is a sort of running joke in town about this place and how«creepy» it is. I’ve been here numerous times over the years and these rumors are completely unjustified. I have had nothing but great food and amazing service when I go here. The owner is also the waiter and he does his best to check on you during your meal and makes sure you have everything you need. The food is delicious — yes a bit spendy but it isn’t Applebees or Red Robin — so of course you’re paying more. There’s no screaming kids or microwaved food. They aren’t a high end resturant but they serve things like steak and fish so the prices are obviously a bit higher than a burger joint. Because of this I feel like everyone thinks they are expensive but they are not overpriced in the least. Every time I’ve been here the place is practically empty which makes for a quiet and relaxing time. The place does have an older feel to it and outdated décor but nothing horrendous. This place is worth trying at least once.

Sadighis is the place I go for excellent food and a quiet adult setting. The food is prepared on site with fresh ingredients. Tonight my wife had smoked salmon alfredo and I had creole seafood. The creole is spicy hot, but as I explained to Mr. Sadighi, I spent 22 years in Albuquerque and I understand hot. There is a nice wine selection and an ample dessert menu. Sadighis is not pretentious and I appreciate that. I can’t eat pretentiousness.

I’d nominate Sadighi’s to try out for a «Kitchen Nightmares» TV makeover episode. Would definitely do the place wonders. Everything is completely wrong with this place from the outside ivy jungle to the inside dated décor, all-over-the-map menu and terrible food. NOT a place to take your date to make a great impression(25 years ago maybe, but not today). Ummm… and it’s no wonder why there are NEVER any cars parked in their parking lot at Sadighi’s. Everybody in Bellingham drives by this mysterious building on the corner across from Lakeway Fred Meyer’s and wonders, «Who GOES there!!!» Answer: Like nobody goes there… EVER! «Trippy & Creepy» describes this place best. The only Haunted restaurant I know of in Bellingham. Don’t believe me? I DAREYOU to walk in the door to this place; you’ll clearly see the cobwebs and hear crickets. «Weird. Just plain weird.»
