This place wants so badly to be really good, and really does try, but ultimately it just misses the mark. Steak was good, but the sides were all undercooked and didn’t seem very fresh. Service seemed harried and unsure, even though the restaurant was practically empty. Jazz band was playing right inside the door so loud I actually had to shout at the hostess. Credit card machine was down so charge was done via old school flat machine. I wanted to try the apple pastry for dessert, but apparently the pumpkin mousse that goes with it just plain didn’t pass their own QC, so the weren’t serving it. Key Lime pie I had instead was ok, but nothing special On the upside, they poured me a HUGE glass of wine.

We wanted to attend a winemaker dinner; there were 5 courses on the menu for $ 85. We asked the morning of the event if they would accommodate vegetarians/pesecetarians. This would have required 2 changes in the 5 courses: subbing something for the bison, and removing pancetta from another dish. They wouldn’t do it. They would substitute duck for the bison, but that’s it! When I explained that we were pescetarian, they said it was too much work to accommodate us. Nice job Lighthouse Bar and Grill. Unilocalers, do the right thing and support another business in town.

Great view of course! On the way home from BC we stopped to eat & took a chance w/o looking up reviews. I had a wonderful fresh salmon sandwich & it was a beautiful piece of salmon cooked perfectly. My friend had the Lighthouse Burger. Fries were excellent. Good price on the house wine. We heard the Happy Hour is great & plan to come back in the summer to partake in the sun!

If you live charcuterie, one of the best I’ve had is here… big enough to split with a nice glass of wine. Three choice meats and several great cheeses, pickles, olives, grapes, grain mustard and hazelnuts… it truly is to die for and worth the price on lounge menu during happy hour. Ambiance and service great and who can beat the view. I’ve loved lots of other items on this and lunch menu as well. I can recommend it!

It really pains me to have to give this place only 2 stars, but it must be done. I’ve had many a lovely meal in the bar here; quite a few happy hours spent happily drinking some outstanding beverages(no complaints with the drinks!). It was those pleasant experiences that had me convincing the rest of my family to give it a go for Thanksgiving. For the first time in my 36 years of life, we ate out for the holiday. I will try to keep this brief. The buffet was awful. I honestly can’t think of one redeeming factor. Maybe the shrimp. But we didn’t intend to pay over $ 40 per person for shrimp on Thanksgiving. I LOVE a good prime rib; I took one bite of the rib served and was almost turned off of prime rib for eternity. It was chewy beyond belief; mostly, it just looked so very unappetizing. Speaking of unappetizing, the table we were sat at was in a back room, VERY far from the buffet. Now, generally I wouldn’t mind this, as it’s good to get a little exercise before consuming a giant meal(this was a little more difficult for my 75 year old parents). However, between the smell(from the moment we sat down it had a faint odor of mildew) and the terrible bright florescent lighting, the ambiance left MUCH to be desired. I think this was the room for«big groups»(there were 7 of us); however, I think this should be mentioned to a large party while booking a table. It’s a little shocking to expect to sit in the beautiful restaurant and then be lead to a subpar dining room. Back to the food. The side dishes were okay, nothing memorable. The vegetarian options(some sort of squash stuffed with quinoa and a mushroom tart) tasted decent, but the plating was terrible. Nothing looked appetizing!!! Which leads me to dessert. Firstly, not everyone likes pie. At least offer your guests a dessert that is NOT pie. And yes, there was an apple crisp, but as far as I am concerned, it was basically just deconstructed pie(can you tell I don’t enjoy pie?). The worst part, though, is that there was not a single pie that looked appetizing. They all looked overdone, dry, and like the baker that made them just phoned it in. And generic, store-bought, canned whipped cream? Seriously? For $ 42.00 a plate? It just seems wrong. In conclusion, obviously, we will not be back for the Thanksgiving buffet, or any other buffet that they offer(and I think it’s safe to say we will never eat out for Thanksgiving in the future). We will, however, be back for the happy hour food and drinks. As it seems that is what the Lighthouse does best.

This hidden away little restaurant and bar is a place I love to bring people from out of town or on special occasion. Be it for lunch or dinner, the view is spectacular! Along with that, they have a wonderful menu that is quite reasonable. Their salads are fresh and huge, and they are happy to make changes that fit your diet. They have a full bar, although I have mainly had wine. One evening I went in with some friends and they had a quartet playing, perfect music for this ambiance!

The food is fantastic, the view is gorgeous but the staff is the best part! Every person we talked to went above and beyond to make our evening memorable. This was our second visit and it was as wonderful as the first. Planning on a dinner party for the holidays so we can show our entire family what a great place The Lighthouse Bar & Grill is!

This wonderful bar and grill has some of the best views in Washington State! It has a great, sophisticated atmosphere with yummy drinks. It is a great place to people watch, to be seen, and to enjoy the warm ambiance. A few years ago, I saw actor Ernest Borgnine there. That was awesome! I still remember that great afternoon.

Great food. Not to mention the view. Enjoyed the Atlantic cod. Light and tasty. The best part was the crème brûlée. Just a great dinner over all.

One would think that with a location such as the one that this restaurant sits(right on the water with a BEAUTIFUL view of the sunset!) the service would be top-notch. Unfortunately here that is not the case. Instead I found myself painfully waiting to be seated only to be told to sit in the lounge– I didn’t WANT to. Waiting to get a menu– I had to ask. Waiting for my salad– LOOONNNNGGG. Once I got my meal I had to ask for a steak knife. While I don’t have any complaints about the food itself(I had a Caesar salad and filet mignon) the service leaves a lot to be desired. Slow, slow, slow. And when the lounge is slow there is no excuse for slow service. Call me a service snob if you will, but I DO expect to have prompt(and FREQUENT) service when I am dining out. Especially when they are slow. I am in town on business, staying at Hotel Bellwether for the next 5 nights, but I will not be coming back to their on-site restaurant after tonight’s less than desirable service.

I don’t know if the manager did this on accident or not. Maybe that person was too busy copying and pasting, but he/she wrote me back but addressed it to the wrong person. A name that is not even close to my name, how funny

Salmon that was literally three inches length and two inches width came out to 16.00 and change. Are you serious? Really??!

Came here for happy hour with co workers. We ordered pretty standard fair and non of it was outstanding. It was all good, in the sense that it was hot and fresh. I’m just don’t think the items were freshly prepared, just freshly fried and opened if you know what I mean. The options weren’t anything fantastic. We had chicken strips with a typical jarred sweet chili sauce, sweet potato fries, and a few other fried nibbles. The calamari however was pretty good. It was lightly battered, I just couldn’t taste much if the calamari itself, which sometimes isn’t bad considering I’m not a huge seafood fan. The setting is great though and it looked as though many people were enjoying their entrees which looked good.

I was convinced by the radio ads to try the gourmet sliders at the restaurant. We sat down and found the live piano music and view from the restaurant created a wonderful atmosphere. However, that was as far as the good news goes. We ordered drinks and appetizers after waiting for 10 minutes to get service. After 40 minutes our appetizers arrived. I ordered the sliders and my wife ordered the chicken satay. The sliders were far from gourmet and the chicken was so dry it was inedible… the drinks were only adequate and so I would not recommend this place for food, just atmosphere. There are a number of good chefs in the area, I suggest they find one to make this place somewhere to go for a nice meal in a great atmosphere.

Love sitting on the outdoor deck for happy hour(3 – 6 daily). Water views are spectacular and the glass panels keep the wind from bothering you. $ 4 wine and a fabulous $ 5 fruit and cheese plate. Great place to bring out of town guests.

Checked out the Lighthouse for the first time tonight and we were very impressed. The service was excellent(even for our large group) and the food and drinks were delicious. We shared the salmon sliders($ 7 during happy hour) — yummy! We’ll definitely be back for happy hour!

My Husband and I recently stayed at the Hotel Bellwether. We paid an extra $ 19 when we reserved our room for the breakfast on the bay package. This included a $ 30 voucher to be used at the Lighthouse Bar and Grill. The restaurant was very nice. I had the west coast omelet. The crab was generously portioned and tasted fresh. The omelet also included boursin cheese and avocado and topped with house made Hollandaise. It was fabulous! When we were finished, we sat and slowly enjoyed the coffee and the view of the bay. It was a great ending to our mini staycation!
