This is our go-to place when we are craving great Mexican food. It’s worth waiting in line at the border to go there! Warning — portions are HUGE! They are very generous with the chips and salsa (always excellent). I recommend the Sopa di tortilla, Taco salad, Fajitas, Enchiladas, Tostadas, Carne Asada, Chimichangas, Flautas, and Fried Ice Cream. Excellent prices. Fast, friendly service. Attentive waiting staff. A winner!

Worst Mexican food I’ve had for a while. They only serve hard shell tacos for combinations, with very limited choices for flavours (ground beef, chicken, beans, and cheese). The chicken was unseasoned and the ground beef tastes just like in cheap American Mexican fast food restaurants. I don’t know how they dare to call themselves «authentic Mexican restaurant». My Mexican friends would laugh their asses off if I ever bring them to this place. Now this place has become one of the options for my friends and I to visit when we lose a bet. Highly recommended if you are wondering how Mexican foods are not supposed to taste like.

This place is good. Ignore the bad comments. We had the lunch special fajitas and California burrito. Very tasty, tons of food. A good margarita as well. Fast, and the ladies were very friendly. Would come back again.

Very good Mexican food and my favorite salsa and chips! My favorite chicken tortilla soup, I’m willing to eat alone to have it!!!
Most of the time it’s been a great place to enjoy a sit down meal although there have been a few times when the food wasn’t consistent, which is always frustrating no matter where you eat. Those few times have been rare and it was just not as good as usual, but it’s never been bad.
The staff is generally attentive and courteous but occasionally you can tell when someone is having a bad day.
All in all, I’ll continue to eat here. Oh and they make great drinks!

The salsa for the chips was awesome. Hands down this is a great salsa and I have dined at various Mexican restaurants in the state of WA and some salsas are just ok. This one has a tangy kick just enough to keep you scopping more with your chips.
I ordered something that was not on the menu at this location, the waiter was kind enought to have them make it for me. Thank you Luis, it was the best chicken enchiladas, I cant believe I had to come to Bellingham WA to find this delicious dish. I ordered a plate called enchiladas suizas and they are the best enchiladas I’ve had. The other place that has this kind of meal is in Yakima WA. Since I travel a lot the next time I make it to Bellingham, I am coming here again.

Two words: guacamole fresco. It’s prepared tableside, and is soooo good… made with impossibly fresh avocados, their special spice blend, onions, garlic, cilantro, lime, tomatoes, and jalapenos. (You can specify how much — or how little — of each ingredient you want.) It’s served with a heaping pile of chips and is less than $ 7 for the biggest bowl of amazing guacamole you’ve ever had!
They also have lunch specials for around $ 7, and of course the obligatory selection of Mexican beer, mixed drinks, and margaritas. The atmosphere is bright and cheerful, and the servers are very friendly. But seriously, the guacamole fresco… there’s no way to describe it. Just grab a friend and try it!

As far a Mexican food in Whatcom county, Lorenzo’s is at the top of my list. The chili rellenos are amazing. The tip to order the Fajitas Trio and split it between two people is good advice.
I will certainly be back. Good food, good drinks, good flavor.
