First time here. 2:35pm 2−13−16. Workers were nice & it’s clean. The steak soft tacos were not good. Steak over done lettuce was certainly wilted, tomatoes not ripe. & no limes only lemons for the soft«street» tacos. Well I did try it. Not impressed. Oh & over priced for what you get.

Everything was fine until the cashier.(She had no name tag) she didn’t listen to what I said whatsoever. Gave me a drink when I didn’t ask for one. Started ringing up the next customer when I hadn’t even finished up with my friend. I love the food here and I come here all the time but this time it made me sad to see a cashier who didn’t have a good worth ethic. I work retail so I know. I can understand it’s busy and you get frustrated but one customer at a time. Please.

10 people milling in the back, one person helping the line and skimping on ingredients. This I can deal with for good food. But this last time, burnt rice AND dry, crunchy carnita meat. Poor management all around. Won’t be coming back.

Horrible portions. My Double chicken bowl looked like a half order of chicken that someone had eaten half of before they gave it to me. Really though, chipotle is one of my favorite spots but chipotle in the mall must be trying to keep their portions to under 150 calories because my bowl wasn’t even half full… literally. I had to go get more food somewhere else to fill me up… sad day

Love chipotle and its fresh food. They try their best to provide the fastest service possible. This location is fairly busy at any time but the line goes by pretty fast.

Food quality was poor, nobody there takes pride in there job they just slap the burritos together so half of the inside is on the outside, and I had a huge hole in the side of my tortilla so everything just oozed out the side

Great for a quick lunch if you are near the mall. If you want to get your burrito without a tortilla they can serve it in a bowl. Its a nice way to reduce a few calories.

Visited about a week ago for a late lunch while doing some shopping. I was pleased to find a longer lineup at Chipotle than the Mcdonalds a few doors down. Though there were about ten people ahead of me in line, it took no time at all before I was at the front. Serving staff were all eager to please. I found the menu easy to peruse and quickly chose a bowl with a generous combination of chicken/sofritas(tofu mixture), plenty of brown rice, corn, salsa and some veggies. The portions were of an excellent size and were more than enough for my appetite. I found the medium salsa a bit too spicy for my liking. In retrospect, I wished I’d bought some chips & salsa to go just to try them. I didn’t have salsa with my meal as it would have been too much food. They have plenty of seating in this location, but need to clean the tables a bit more frequently — several of the tables around me needed attention. Overall, I felt this was good value for around $ 8 and would definitely return — hopefully sooner than later.

i am a dedicated Chipotle enthusiast. it’s my go-to spot for healthy, quick lunches. I’ve been to chipotle locations across the country. this Chipotle, however, was by far THEWORST chipotle experience I have ever had. in sum: – THESKIMPIEST portions. believe me, folks, Chipotle burritos should be HUGE. – the woman making our burritos obviously wasn’t paying attention — we had to repeat our order for«chicken» at least 3 times. – the cashier and another employee were having a side conversation while ringing me up – horrible customer service – i got chips and a drink, and i think it took about 3 minutes for someone to finally get the salsa the cashier called back for Definitely needs an upgraded staff and some customer service corrections

This is our new go to place when my wife and I come down once a month to do our grocery shop. The rice bowls are delicious and full of flavour. I usually get either the carnitas or the Barbacoa(that’s shredded beef seasoned nicely and quite moist). And here’s a tip, go around 1130 am makes a huge difference when it comes to lineups. They do move the lines quite efficient and I’ve never seen them run out of anything. Zipped right through. Sat outside under the Umbrellas. GMO free is their newest philosophy and that’s a good thing. More restaurants should be this responsible. We’ll be back every month.

*3.5 stars* Chipotle always reminds me of my adventures in LA and I’m a sucker for a bowl of anything with guacamole, hence the extra 0.5 star. The times I had a Chipotle in LA were far different from this visit, no line(but I guess because we came on a Thursday late afternoon). I ordered right away — Chicken bowl with my customs faves. You have the choice of brown or white cilantro/lime rice, black or pinto beans, sour cream, salsa(mild, medium, hot), corn, cheese, lettuce and a MUST-HAVE their Guacamole(extra $ 2 charge though). The chicken was okay, not dry not moist and had mild grilled flavour, the rice had a pleasant taste of lime and cilantro, no beans for me so I don’t know how they tasted, the sour cream was thick and cold, salsa wasn’t as fresh as I hoped and it didn’t have as much flavour I’m used to, corn was sweet and crisp, cheese was light in flavour, and the guacamole was creamy and fresh and helps bring all the flavours into a delicious mouthful of yumminess. I felt like they were skimping on the amount of ingredients but the bowl was just big enough to satisfy my craving. Service was nice and quick. Seating was clean and there were outdoor tables to enjoy the sunshine. Out of all the food court options at BellisFair, Chipotle just has the perfect mishmash of ingredients for a delicious meal for around $ 7 – 10 depending on your options.

2.5 stars Let me start off my saying, I do love Chipotle. The food is pretty consistent and fresh. I can always count on my carnitas salad bowl(paleo-friendly, may I add) having a healthy helping of meat, full of flavour, and worth the money. But is it worth the lines? Chipotle is notorious for this but for some reasons, people(myself included) stick it out! The lines are especially at this new Bellis Fair location. Perhaps it’s because of the lackluster alternative options in the food court… but I waited in line for 30 minutes for a bowl of lettuce and beef. Was it good? Yes. Was it worth it? Good thing I wasn’t in a hurry. Tip — I am not sure about this location, but at other Chipotle’s you can order online in advance and have it ready for when you arrive, bypassing the line. THISISTHETICKET, people! I will definitely be taking advantage of this option when possible, but probably not at the Bellis Fair location.

This review hovers between a 2 and a 3 star but my gut opinion is exactly that of a 2 star: I’ve had better. My husband and I were in the area as we were picking up a package in Blaine and we were in the mood for a quick snack. We weren’t too hungry so we just grabbed a burrito bowl to share. To be honest, I don’t see what the big fuss is with Chipotle, but I think it could be a relatively healthier fast food option if you were to remove the huge glob of sour cream they dump on your plate. I did like the cilantro lime brown rice though. I thought that the serving size was a bit small given the size of the bowl, but perhaps I’ve grown too accustomed to super-sized American portions and expected more. All in all, I won’t be going out of my way for Chipotle, but it’s not bad when it’s there.

I haven’t had Chipotle since they first started popping up 10 or 15 years ago back east. I had mostly indifferent feelings about them then. When I saw they were opening a store here, I decided to give it another try. We placed an online order and timed it for 4:45 pm. We showed up about 5 minutes early and our food had already been sitting In a holding cabinet for quite some time. The little bit of cheese they were able to spare for my burrito bowl had been melted then congealed into a small nugget of tasteless rubber. The guacamole and sour cream were quite warm and the only thing that had any flavor ATALL was the hot salsa. Very bland rice, beans, chicken and guacamole. I cannot recommend this place at all. But if you do try it out, don’t order ahead of time, and get the hot salsa if you want to taste anything at all. I think you’re better off trying a taco cart around town. MEH.

So my girlfriend and I came here for the first time tonight; I’ve always wanted to try it because I’m all for ethically treated meat sources, and I’ve only heard good things about the business behind chipotle as well as the food being nothing short of delicious. Well unfortunately our cashier was one of the rudest I’ve ever experienced anywhere and if it wasn’t for the awesome food, the way she treated us would of kept me away forever. Also my girls burrito was rolled to shit and she couldn’t really enjoy it. I wouldn’t recommend coming here on a Friday night close to closing. Bummer.

We Bellingham folks tend to get excited when big national chain restaurants think we are worthy of them. I know I was just as excited as everybody else when I heard that a Chipotle was finally opening at Bellis Fair Mall. Today I got the chance to check them out for lunch, and ordered a carnitas bowl with a side of chips. As other reviewers have mentioned, the service behind the counter is slow. I’d like to think this is just because it’s a brand new restaurant and everybody is still learning. But I felt lucky that I got there early enough to avoid the very long line which had formed by the time I left. The unwiped tabletops were also a little off-putting. I found myself wondering if this place even has a manager? The food was good though, and I’ll definitely be back especially once they get their liquor license and can serve beer. Meanwhile I hope the staff is able to hone their burrito making skills, and provide faster service to the lunch crowd.

Obviously solid food. Never been disappointed with the product Chipotle provides. However, I have been going to this restaurant for years back home and the Bellingham location is BYFAR the slowest line I have ever seen. Chipotle works because the way it is arranged, they are able to make food fast. One person on tortilla and rice duty, one on proteins, and one for salsas and condiments. Boom boom boom. This location however hasn’t seemed to employ the strategy that literally every Chipotle everywhere uses and insists on having the tortilla person also do rice, beans, and meat. This bogs the line down immensely and really needs attention from management. As I write this review from the line, there are three people working the line and one kid who has been wandering around lost back there for about 10 minutes now. I am really hoping that these issues can be addressed and resolved, as I had to wait upwards of 40 minutes last time. Yes I timed it, and yes my wife and I like Chipotle that much. The food deserves 5 stars every time, but this location needs some drastic refinement.

Second visit to a Chipotle, first visit to the brand new Bellingham Chipotle. First take, lines seem to be part of a visit to Chipotle, ours took 15 minutes until we were able to order. This location is at Bellis Fair Mall which makes it easy if you’re already shopping, less so if you’re not. This location is about the same size as the other Chipotle I’ve visited. Seating looked like it would be challenging but things cleared up nicely, we got nice seats by the floor to ceiling windows. Service was good, the servers were quick and answered questions with a smile. Because the restaurant was busy, food was hot and fresh. I had a bowl with carnitas and pinto beans. Brown rice with medium green salsa(I would call it mild) sour cream with lettuce on top. This was a very tasty and healthy post-Thanksgiving Day lunch. My companions had a burrito and tacos. My son loved the burrito, though he made the mistake of unwrapping it before eating… whoops! He loved it(chicken, brown rice, black beans, mild salsa, guacamole and sour cream) and was stuffed. The tacos were a hit as well, though it would have been nice if I’d had the choice of hard or soft tacos(we got soft tacos, we’d have like hard shell tacos). Why 4 not 5? The line was pretty long and didn’t move that fast. Our table wasn’t wiped clean, and it would have been nice to have taco shell choice. We enjoyed Chipotle and will be back sooner than later.
