Pretzels that remind me of summers at my aunt’s in Germany and the bakery vans that go from village to village. Why not make Brötchen more often? I get that Brezeln are your passion but people need good Brötchen!

I had a delicious chocolate pretzel stick at the Farmer’s Market today. This could turn into a habit. Yummy!

I’ve been dying to get to Bellingham, WA to visit Ralf’s Bakery! Finally, a beautiful fall day led me up there with me nieces. I must say I was impressed with their cute corner bakery at the Depot Market. The Bavarian Pretzels arethe best! The first bite instantly reminded me of strolling along the streets of Munich. Now I’m hooked and will either drive up there again or order online. The owners are also very friendly. I enjoyed chatting with them in person. Great job Ralf!

I miss my Auntie Annie… I really do! She was a great person(god rest her soul), but for the life of me, she couldn’t bake a pretzel if her life depended on it…(it did)! These guys really can make a pretzel!

Best. Pretzels. EVER. My wife and I had our first Ralf’s pretzel at Boundary Bay Brewery & Bistro and then stopped by their Bellingham Farmers Market location the next day to try some more. Excellent pretzels and service. You simply cannot go wrong here — they’re fresh and delicious!

A couple years ago I took a 2 week trip traveling between Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Germany was one of the main reasons why I decided to go on this tour because I cannot resist great beer and awesome pretzels. And what better way to have the best is to go the source. Throughout my adventure I encountered different variations of this twisted treat and they came in all sizes. Forget what you think you might know about pretzels because these are not the Super Pretzels from your microwave. They are so much better! Ralf’s doesn’t have an actual store but you are still able to purchase the pretzels online. Living on the east coast I wasn’t sure how well they would travel from Washington state. But they arrived very quickly, well packed and still frozen. Just pop them in the freezer and when you are ready to nom on these bad boys just put them in the over for a few. Each order comes with a pack of salt if you like them, like me, on the salty side. You won’t be disappointed these taste just like the real thing. I was amazed how close they taste to the ones I had in Munich. Impressive quality that you cannot find anywhere else. Give them a try you will not be disappointed.

These pretzels are amazing! I only wish they sold them at the Co-op or elsewhere too as it’s hard for me to make it to the shop before closing at 3pm. I think they are available at the farmer’s market too. Prices are a bit steep, but they are very tasty,

I was at the Depot Market Farmer’s Market and happened upon this wonderous stand that sold authentic style German«brotchen» sandwiches and pretzels. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I ended up buying one of every type of sandwich they had and one of each type of pretzel. All were devoured within the hour, and the last pretzel I was saving for my kid, got nibbled away on the drive back to Seattle. Fast forward a year and a half… just before we got snowed in last Dec. I had a hankerin’ for pretzels and didn’t feel up to the drive to Burien, or even Bellevue on a particular day of the week in the hopes of scoring a pretzel. So I went to and ordered me a boxful of handmade pretzels! 15 pretzels for $ 35 and free shipping is a pretty good deal! They got to me in one day, and it was the day before we got snowed in for two weeks! So I was set! I happily ate mostly pretzels for two weeks! The only drawback is that you do have to bake them first and do the salt sprinkling yourself. Other than that, they’re great! Now if only they could send their sandwiches! Guess a trip to Bellingham is on the horizon!
