I absolutely LOVE this place!!! Great music, great dance floor with great lights, great staff, great tap selection, HUGE pours on mixed drinks, great karaōke night(Mondays I think) and best of all, fantastic and friendly customers to socialize with!!!(12 exclamations) Everyone wants to meet you and have fun with you, no matter what kind of person you are!

Bouncers are easygoing and friendly, bartenders are all adorable, quick, and make really strong drinks. Music is okay during weekdays and better, more current, on weekends. If you’re looking to have a dance crowd, don’t show up before 10. However, drinks are much less expensive early on– awesome value. Venue is fun, with lots of pub seating and a giant pool table. Order a Long Island, and bring cash. Cash only bar! Parking is free in the farmers market lot after hours, which is nifty. Railroad is tough parking otherwise.

Best place in town to dance. I used to go there mostly to grab a drink or two with friends, but lately the music has been really good. The DJ on saturday is my favorite, plays awesome house music. The bouncers are always friendly, the bartenders are good and make good, strong drinks and keep the line moving. All that said it’s about dancin here for me, coming from a former big city club kid this is the best place to dance in town by far if you like house music.

Drinks are cheap, bartenders are friendly, atmosphere is amazing, but could really use a new dj. The music is extremely monotonous. It actually deters me from dancing. Two stars.

Great establishment. Can’t find a better happy hour spot. Music is decent, bouncers are not douchebags like at other places, and the atmosphere is swell.

I usually do not post reviews here unless I feel extraordinary service was performed. That goes both ways– the good and the bad. This is the last straw. Every time I come to Rumors I am greeted by the door man(usually wears a tank top and has big muscles with tattoos on his arms). He is possibly one of the rudest employees that works here, but by no means does that mean he is the only employee who is rude here. It is just that today I came in handed him my id. When he looked it over he fingered at a piece of the id that was peeling off then threw my id back at me and asked to see another form of id.(The id is about 8 years old). Later on he came lurking through the shadows to appear right in front of my friends and I and in a rude manner demanded that we go sit elsewhere in the bar without an explanation. I pulled him to the side and told him my feelings about his rudeness, and the feelings of several individuals that frequent Rumors. He apologized and went back to his work. I have only visited Rumors a total of five times and three of those times I was DD for my friends and I have observed him and his rude behavior towards the clientele.

I’m straight and this is my favorite bar in town. It was actually the first bar I ever went to when I turned 21! The bartenders are super nice, there are always good drink specials & the crowd is always so much better than at other bars, in my opinion. Way less creepy douchy guys trying to hit on me, which is perfect! I went to a foam party here last year and it is one of my favorite memories. It was a blast. I really hope they have another foam party again soon, I highly recommend it!:)

Tl;dr: music is usually good, drinks are usually strong. Bouncers are usually polite, and try to promote a safe environment. I had a crazy allergic reaction to the foam at the most recent foam party, so if you have sensitive skin, just be careful. When I lived in Bellingham, this was my favorite bar. :) The music is typically good, and the drinks are usually strong as well. I’ve usually gone on Friday nights, with the $ 3 long islands, which is a steal. People complain that the drinks might not taste good, but honestly, if I wanted something that tasted good, I wouldn’t order a long island… you know those are like 90% liquor, right?! I order it because it’s a cheap, strong drink. Just one of those, and you’re good for the night, lol. The bouncers have always been polite, even when they scolded me. Of course, they tend to be wrong with what they’re accusing you of, at least in my case. Of the few times I’ve been pulled aside by the bouncers, I was only actually guilty once(I had too much to drink, so they cut me off for the rest of the night). HOWEVER, even though they are mistaken most of the time, I appreciate what they’re trying to do. They’re trying to make sure that everyone has the best, safest experience they can. I think it’s better that they call you out, even if they’re wrong, because it promotes a safer environment. My only real complaints — sometimes there are kinda grody older people. I don’t know how they get in, when I’ve had friends not get in for silly reasons, haha. And my other complaint is about the foam party I went to recently. I had an allergic reaction to the foam, which really sucked. I also lost my flip flop — the bouncer pulled me off the dance floor to scold me(you guessed it — I was innocent again this time), and my flip flop fell off. I never found it since it was covered in 3 feet of foam, and I wasn’t about to go swimming to look for it… of course, the bouncer then told me that I had to put my shoes on, lol. I went back the next day to see if they had found anything, but they didn’t. My guess is someone else lost a flip flop, too, and found mine and took it instead…

As a college student, I frequently went out to Rumors, especially once they adopted The Nightlight’s 80’s Night. Everyone knows that 80’s Night was where the party was at. But in addition to 80’s Night, every weekend I could count on Rumors to have good music to dance to, strong drinks, and nice bartenders. Plus they have air hockey and pool.

I would totally recommend going to rumor… if you feel like: *dealing with SUUUUPER rude bouncers *getting groped by the greasiest type of old man *overpaying for crappy drinks *feeling really grumpy at the end of the night because you just wasted your money at a horrendous establishment! If those are in your criteria for Bellingham nightlife then I’d say go for it :)

I like the staff at Rumors, the people are awesome with a good vibe, the drinks are great, with awesome bar tenders & good prices. But I have to say the music could be better.

Friendly staff, great entertainment, can’t go wrong with a night at Rumors. I’ve been going to this bar for years, drinks are fairly priced and well made, not to mention the best dancing in Bellingham is going to be found here. Try the Black and Blue Betty, It’s a knockout.

I very much enjoyed my Rumors experience. Good music, cheap booze, safe atmosphere and I’m pretty sure no cover(it was a Thursday night). I will be back to dance the night away.

This is THE place to go to dance in Bellingham. Though I say that with some reservation – I only go here Thursday nights, for 80s throwback night. I think wells are $ 1 from 9 – 11 with 2.25 pitchers of Rainier. It can get crowded around the 12 – 2 range, so come early and get your dance on! I’ll probably be there =D Also, there can be a few… extreme people here at times. But that just adds to the charm.

Rumors is as good as it gets for me, in Bellingham. The drinks are great, their prices are amazing and their staff is AWESOME. All of the bartenders are all very friendly and tend to remember your«usual» drink, which makes the experience so much better. The bouncer is very hot, yes Chris I am talking about you, I always appreciate a little eye candy at the front door. For the most part the crowds at rumors are very tame and there are rarely any crazy issues… which is def something that cannot be said for the other bars downtown. Most everyone is pretty laid back and down to have a great time. The music can be hit or miss but the crowds are so into the music that it really does not matter most of the time. Their is no air conditioning so it can get very hot, but oddly enough I don’t mind leaving sweaty after a few hours of crazy dancing. Rumors is the one place you can go and just be whatever you want to be and not get judged. I love you Rumors you will always have a special place in my heart

Rumor has it(yes, I actually heard a rumor while inside Rumors) that Rumors alternates nights between gay dance club and hetero rock club. Bellingham, I like your style.
