Bar part of the restaurant. Quick seating.(Seat yourself). Quick service. Excellent food and dessert. Our server was wondering and on top of everything. It’s been a while since my husband and I went out on a date. This didn’t disappoint. 5 stars for my fish tacos! Hubby got the a Great Northwest Pizza was good too! The atmosphere was just as expected and we’re definitely coming back!

One of two breweries visited while in Bellingham. Food was great. We had the lamb burger and a bathtub full of the smoked salmon chowder. Nothing but praise for the two(see photographic evidence below). Cicerone Certified Beer Server beer snob review: the beer here is OK. Not life changing, but on par with the rest of the beer offerings in the pacific north west.

We still love coming here. The mac and cheese is outstanding, my son loves the French dip and we play Heads Up on my iPhone and have a really good time. The steamed clams and the Reuben are also favorites in my family… plus the beer samplers. We don’t eat out much, but we are here nearly every time we do.

The baseline for Bellingham Micro-Brews. Decent beer, though not the most inspired, but that’s okay. They are that which we compare all other beers locally to. Great food, but annoying that the portion sizes keep going down. Yam Alechaladas are the BEST. Love the beef stew too. I will say that come summer time the Highland Scotch Ale is AMAZING.

When we walked in it was really getting busy, we for lucky since there were only 2 of us we were seated right away in the bar. The bar was quite loud(as to be expected) however when I went through the dinning area to the restroom I found it was much more quite in there. The server was prompt in taking our drink orders and getting them to us. My husband was asking some questions about the beer on tap options(there were a few he hadn’t had before) through vague descriptions from the server he made his choice. Then a few minutes later the table next to us was offered taster glasses to help decide.?! When I asked about the Irish sausage that came with the bangers and mash she wasn’t able to give more than«It’s sausage» I went ahead and tried it anyway. Wow I’m glad I did. The sausage is great has nice flavor and good snap. It comes with a mustard which was fabulous and a pea purée tasted like fresh peas. The mashed potatoes were flavorful and creamy. Apparently you can request bread with your dinner, we did not know this until we saw someone else do it. They were very prompt in taking away empty plates and asking about refilling beers however my soda sat empty for 10 minutes(i had to ask for it to be refilled), it took forever to get the bill and we were never asked if we wanted desert I had to ask for the desert menu. Then when it was brought to the table it was just set down and we did not get informed what the pie of the week was or the weekly pastry special, Again had to ask when she came back to see if we wanted anything from the menu. Due to the service not being that great the rating was lower if I was rating the food only other would have been 5 star.

Huge space with some GREAT food! I was shocked at how large the dining area was in here. It doesn’t look like much from the outside but there is plenty of room in there! Our server was SUPER friendly and very situationally aware! For food, fish tacos were my option and they were pretty tasty! Grilled cod and a great compliment of toppings to get that flavor just right. My only complaint about this meal was there were only two tacos on the plate. I would like to see three tacos on that plate for the price. I’d expect two if I was in the Seattle area but this is WELL north of that and prices are close to the same. Ironically, their draft beer choices lacked in diversity but since I’m not familiar with their rotation, we may have just caught it at a bad time. Overall: going back!

Best Stout in Bellingham(Oatmeal Stout, give me more!) and incredibly accommodating food options. Love the fish tacos and the amazing seasonal Railroad salad. Omg. Excellent beers and the location is super prime. Good happy hour and definitely openly gluten/dairy free subs from servers. No pretentiousness. Kind people. Awesome pull down screen for games in the bar. Get all of their soups, regular eaters. Yum. Their desserts are swoon worthy, and can easily pair with their beverages. Not always dairy free friendly, but worth a naughty bite!!!

During a recent trip to Bellingham, my boyfriend & I decided to try Boundary Bay because it was Unilocal’s most rated restaurant in the city and received 4⁄5 stars. We shared the lamb burger(+ cheddar & bacon), a side of roasted potatoes and an amber ale. Our server brought us the wrong beer(it was extremely dark in color and tasted of an IPA), but we didn’t want to mention it. As for the burger, the meat was overcooked, the bun was so dry that it was crumbling to pieces and the«house aioli» was simply just mayonnaise. I would have much rather enjoyed a $ 6 Mc’Ds Big Mac meal compared to this $ 15 burger. Move along everybody, there’s(really) nothing here to see at Boundary Bay.
