Excellent bartenders, publike seating with many table options, great drink options and a very«Irish» feeling. Good place to go when you want to feel like you’re going out but can’t stand hoards of people and mediocre beverages. These guys are good at what they do. Lounge by the fire in the couches or maybe play darts! They’re open Christmas too, and it’s a fun crowd. Order the whiskey ginger with cucumber and be very pleasantly surprised! Parking is a bear, so on busy nights, prepare to take a wee jaunt. Grab the charcuterie plate if it isn’t too late– it’s full of tasty eats.

Wonderful bar! The owner and bartenders were fantastic. They threw a scotch and cigar even 12÷3÷15 and it was so great! Hoping that they will hold more of these nights! They have a great variety and selection of alcohol.

Worst Taco Bell ever. I ordered a crunch wrap supreme and all he gave me was a glass of Pinot Grigio. At least he was wearing a bow tie.

Back about a million years ago, before I got married, the gals at the office took me for dinner at a Mexican restaurant in downtown Bellingham to celebrate my upcoming nuptials. I don’t remember the restaurant, or the name. I do remember that they charged $ 3 for a side of guacamole, which at the time felt like highway robbery but now it’s pretty much the going price for guacamole. But, as usual, I digress… Fast forward«x» amount of years and that Mexican joint is long gone, but in its place is the fine establishment of Uisce’s. I’ll admit I didn’t even visit this place for a long time after it opened. I had trouble wrapping my tongue around the name… how *do* you pronounce it, anyway? I couldn’t imagine myself walking in and a friend asking me where it was and trying to say that name clearly(especially, let’s face it, if I had a cocktail or two as well). But then one night at work a co-worker invited me out for a drink after our shift, and said she was going to «Ishka’s.» Hmm, I thought, that place sounds interesting. «Is it new?» I asked. «No, she said, it’s right downtown on Cornwall, across from the Parkade. It’s an Irish pub.» I said, «Oh, did that you-ees-kee’s place go out of business?» She laughed. And we went. And it was a pretty cool place! Since then I’ve been back a few times, and have grown fond of its appropriately darkened interiors, classic dart boards, and GIGANTIC(who made that thing, anyway?) fabric banner hanging over the large, full bar. They’ve also greatly expanded their tap list, so if you’re a beer fan there’s sure to be something here for you.(They also, of course, have Guinness — not something that’s always easy to find here in the Ham.) My only beef with Uisce’s is, well, they don’t have beef. Or, really, much food at all. And this is why I don’t go as often as I might if they did. But I get it, they’re a pub, and they’re pretty good at being just that.

I have mixed feelings about this bar. It is a nice bar with a good selection of alcohol, specifically scotch. However, our time there was partially ruined by the d**k bouncer. The man at the door was the quintessential small kid with a short man complex. He was clearly getting his jollies harassing all of the incoming customers and making them jump through all of his silly hoops. I was embarrassed for both this mans lack of confidence and spite, and the establishments pathetic decision to hire him. If you have an out of state license be ready to justify why you don’t live in the state of WA and be ready to answer the following inquisition. I suggest to this bar that they seriously rethink how they hire employees that interact with the public.

TERRIBLEEXPERIENCE! THEYWOULDN’T ACCEPTMYID! They said they didn’t know how to tell a real [my state] driver’s license and thus they couldn’t let me in. I am fairly obviously above the drinking age, and this was super insulting considering that it is totally their job to be able to know what IDs from different [American] states look like! The manager said they would let me in if I brought my passport(the fact that all of my cards matched my ID didn’t matter) but anyone taking their passport out onto a night on the town is clearly looking for trouble… What a terrible experience!!! We took our entire party of 5 elsewhere, because clearly they didn’t want our business.

Went on St Patty’s day, they had the local fire dept there playing bag pipes and drums on the bar! I didn’t eat but as a pub review this was a great night. In-spite of the bar tenders being swamped I never went very long without a beverage and they had a great selection of international beers and good local brews. Thanks for a great night!

Uisce is a phenomenal Irish Pub! We went there for our first time this past weekend and had such a great time! My boyfriend is just starting to really get into Scotch and the bartender, Johnny, was amazing! Johnny took the time to talk with my boyfriend about the different Scotch’s, offered his recommendations, and is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I am not much of a drinker, and told Johnny I liked sweet and fruity drinks. He said, «say no more», I have you taken care of and he did. Just tell him what you like, and he’ll make you the best drinks around! We really loved the old school, long wooden bar, the atmosphere, the free dart boards, comfortable seating — it is a fun place to be! We wished they served food, but we will definitely be back for more Scotch tastings and drinks!

One of my favorite bars in Bellingham, very nostalgic. They have just about any kind of whiskey and scotch you can think of. I always have a blast and the bartenders like to do fun bar tricks. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. They even have cool Irish bands play live every once in a while. And for you newbies out there, it’s pronounced«ISH-kah».

Uisce is a phenomenal Irish pub downtown Bellingham. Opened in 2006 its been filling a much loved niche in the northwest. Solid wood tables, a fireplace, darts, and even a comfortable couch. Its traditionally decorated and has a true old-world ambience. The bartenders Molly and Johnny serve up a great selection of beers, excellent scotch, and the best Irish Coffee I’ve ever had. While they specialize in good traditional Irish fare, they have plenty of the modern cocktail fixings if thats what your looking for. This is my favorite pub to frequent. It makes a great place to cap off a night, and every Tuesday night they host a trivia night. If you’re in town, even for just a night, I highly recommend stopping in for a pint.

Probably the best bar in town! The service is always friendly, they have a great whiskey selection, reasonable prices, darts, trivia night on Tuesdays, lots of seating and live music some nights. What more could you want?

Fun place to visit with friends and have a drink. There is a restaurant in the same building, so you can grab a bite as well. I recommend trying their fries, great drinking food. And you can try your hand at darts while you’re there.

This place has an authentic young Irish lad named Owen. He is the most Irish thing I have encountered in this town. Even more Irish than the potato famine. His drinks are crisp and his friendly banter is worth long travel. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed with this boyo. Do yourself a favor, stop whatever you are doing, and get over here for a Guinness and some pretzels!

Trivia night here is so much fun! For that alone I give it five stars, but it’s also nice to just hang out and have a drink here with people on non-trivia nights. Sometimes it’s a little crowded and you have to wait at the bar a bit, but they do their best and are friendly, so it’s never bothersome as long as you are a little bit patient. It’s got a pretty laid back feel, and it’s nice to relax and chat with friends.

One of the best bars The Ham has to offer. Local owners with Irish roots make this an authentic pub experience. Dart boards, comfy couches, loads of seating: The friendly bartenders pour a stout smartly and quick. They have trivia night, live music sometimes and it’s of course packed to the brim on St. Paddy’s Day: Maybe save your trip for a blustery weeknight instead. The jukebox has the classics! Settle in with a peck of friends, plenty of seating and a true tavern atmosphere.

One of my faves in Bellingham — I started going there the summer I turned 21 every Tuesday for Trivia. The bartender is awesome, and the guys who ran Trivia were hilarious. Thursdays to Saturdays it’s filled to the brim with college students, but the rest of the week they can’t be found. Towards the end of my stay in Bellingham, they added two food options — and while meager, at least it was food. Cool part was that they allowed outside food to be brought in, I hope they still do…
