I had high hopes for their bubble tea and although it was good it wasn’t what I was used to getting down in Richmond, BC. I will applaud them for their selection of hardware and mugs at very reasonable prices. The lady at the til was super friendly and helpful. This was a well stocked place. They have 3 different types of mint tea. Prices are very fair.

Fantastic selection of loose leaf teas and spices! Very friendly staff who is super helpful. It smells amazing in here. Also they have a superb bubble tea — my favorite is the vanilla but they are all really good so you can’t go wrong with any! Doesn’t look like a large place from outside but there’s a lot to look at and try and smell in here. Pretty much tea heaven :)

My favorite Tea place ever! I started going to The Spice Hut when it was called Teaquent in the Bellis Fair Mall. Their store was right in front of a Sprint Kiosk that I managed and I would routinely walk by them to get a cup of coffee. On Black Friday, probably 3 years ago, Brittany brought me a Caramle Tea mixed with a Coffee Tea and told me to try it. I’d always made the excuse that coffee was better and that I was craving it. After having that tea, I was hooked. I started going to Teaquent instead of Starbucks and soon craved that even more. After Teaquent left the mall and went full time to The Spice Hut, I continued to put in orders with them when they made deliveries or drive to get my tea. Brittany, Carly and Brianna made it an environment that you wanted to be in, one where you felt like family. When I started going to Spice Hut, I met the owners and fell in love with the business even more. Now that I’ve moved to Burlington, the times I get to come here are few and far between, but when I do, I always get a hot tea and stock up on their Mojave Chili and Ribs seasoning and get more tea for my own home brews. This is the type of business that I will get behind any day. Love you guys!

Great selection of tea and spices. You’re treated like family when you walk in. I love the fact that the store is family owned and is local. If you have no idea what you’re looking for, someone is always able to help find exactly what you need. You can also try a cup of tea if you’d like. They even make bubble tea! Today I had the Coffee Chai, which is a mix of their Coffee Lover’s Tea and Mate Chai, she added soy and vanilla to make it taste even more amazing. And if you love cooking, they’ve got every spice you could think of and also awesome exotic spice blends to try. Love, love, love this place.

I have traveled to many cities from NYC, to Victoria, to LA and still haven’t found a tea shop as great as The Spice Hut. The service is excellent. Every time I go into the store the people working there are always helpful and seem to really know and enjoy the teas. The tea combinations are so intriguing and tasty. If you love black tea and especially Earl Grey, you must try Amelie and Taste of Royal Tea. Kambaa Afrika is another one of my favorites. I currently live in LA and always look forward to visiting Bellingham and it’s cozy little tea shop. If you are a tea nut like me, this will be your Mecca.

The Spice Hut is amazing. The owners and employees are even more amazing. Not only do they all know the INS and outs of every tea in their store, they are very friendly and generous. The owners were so kind as to provide tea as party favors for my wedding with 350 guests. In addition, we used their chai tea to serve guests during the reception. This was truly a most generous act and it shows what kind of people work there and run the store. In addition, their price is good and their tea is so tasty! Can’t wait to go back and stock up. The Spice Hut is reason enough to make me drive from Lynnwood to Bellingham.

Need tea? Nead a few odd this and that spices for a strange cultural dish experiment? This is the place to go if your in bham. I went to culinary school in bham and a few times durring this process I needed to do a little home practicing, and that required some serious outsourcing of ingredients. Spice hut generally had what I needed and the people were helpful, I always came out of there with more than I expected to take with me when I went in. Teas, a few spices, and some dried tea flowers. hmmmmmmm. Relaxation here I come! My only problem with them is that they were high priced as far as tea goes, not the highest I’ve seen by far but for the market in bham a touch steep.

This place is a pure joy. I entered as a novice and left well on my way to tea enlightenment. It’s almost a museum of teas and coffees. An exhaustive variety of teas and very knowledgeable help that is eager to share their insights on the origins and subtle differences between the different teas available for purchase. It is still the only place I have ever seen a matcha tea bush on the shelves available for purchase.

An excellent assortment of teas awaits you at The Spice Hut. They sell an amazing array of loose leaf teas that you can smell right there in the store. The owner and her family are excellent to ask for suggestions and are always ready to help with any questions. The owner of the shop actually has had some wonderful suggestions for including teas in baking. I have yet to find another store like this one. With so many teas available, there is no need to search any further! They have a website as well where you can expect prompt responses.

The Spice Hut is located on the north side of Bellingham, WA. It’s in the same area as the community college, Costco, and Bed, Bath, & Beyond, just north of the mall. The front of the store does not do justice to how fantastic it is inside. Once you enter, you can smell how amazing the store is. They have a larger selection of teas, spices, and accessories than any other spice and tea store I have been to on the I-5 corridor.(This includes Market Spice in Pike Place Market.) It’s a fairly roomy little shop, with a large counter over by the teas where you can sample the smell of each tea they sell. An identical little bar sits over by the spices on the other side of the store. It’s a family run business, and they go out of their way to be helpful. If you have any questions about any teas or spices they are incredibly knowledgeable. I have been going there sporadically for years, despite moving to Seattle, then the Everett, because the service alone is worth it, let alone the vast inventory. If you need something special they can find it, or make it. They blend a lot of their own blends right there. They also have a little bar in the back, where they make bubble teas, regular teas, and the like. The very back wall, and middle of the store is filled with accessories for tea, as well as spices, spice mixes, and some interesting doo dads. I highly recommend stopping in if you get by that way. It’s worth the effort to look them up. If you can’t they can do mail order, via the website, and are always prompt.
