The Sugar Shack

I have been going to Sugar Shack since 2008 and I will continue so the rest of my life! The owner is friendly, knowledgeable and works wonders. As for the wait for a call back– it’s just her so if she doesn’t answer, wait patiently as she is usually with clients. I never have a problem making an appt.

Had an amazing facial here. She really took the time –probably one of the best ive had! I felt pampered and super relaxed after.
Had Brazilian wax twice here, first time ever. She made me feel so comfortable and the hard wax did an excellent job. I’m so sad I’ll be leaving Bellingham she will be hard to replace. Definitely recommend for all services, don’t think twice!

Saw Arian, the owner of this salon. She gives an amazing facial. The neck and shoulder massage were divine, my skin glowed, and she uses very high quality products. And the price is VERY good for what you get. Her spa space is small but cozy and inviting. Highly recommend!

I went into their new location on Grand trying to see if they could fit me in for an appointment. Tried the (unmarked) door, after peering in and seeing a grand mess all over the place, I assumed they were not open quite yet after moving, so I called their telephone number listed on the sandwich board sign that was on the sidewalk.
Voicemail stated that they should be open at that time, so I left a message, hoping someone could call me back. After an hour, I walked back by and saw someone in there, so I tried the door again… it was locked.
The woman who answered the door was VERY put out that I had interrupted her lunch and while she was telling me she had meetings all afternoon and wouldn’t be able to help me, I was witness to her dog vomiting on the floor.
No thank you. I went somewhere else gladly.

I LOVE this place. I called the day before and she got me in the next day. The two women who work this salon are nothing less than absolutely loving and extremely qualified for the work they do. The brazilian wax I got was close to painless and not only did I fall in love with the atmosphere they created but the people who work there! HIGHLY recommended

Jessi does a fantastic job! best brazillian waxer I’ve gone too in Bellingham. She did a great job on my brows as well. She should run her own B-​Wax spa!!! Highly recommend her!

Great atmosphere, quick and as painless as it can get, and she (I saw Jessie) did an absolutely fantastic job! I got my brows done, and they look great, and I thought it was pretty inexpensive, but I suppose that depends in what you’re used to spending. It was $ 20 for brows, $ 5 for lip, and she said that in the future the brows would be $ 15. I highly recommend this place!

I just moved here from LA and I was literally freaking out at the thought of having to find a new waxer to tend to my sensitive zones. I just saw this spot driving by, and sort of just went with it. Well, I’m super glad I did.
Jessie at The Sugar Shack hooked a sister UP! Jessie used a combination of the normal wax-​and-​cloth and hard wax, which I have never before experienced in my years of getting waxed. HARD WAX CHANGED MY LIFE. The hard wax is totally awesome because it provides maximum hair removal and minimal pain. It is basically applied and then dries, and then is pulled off like a sticker, without using the cloth. Less waste and less pain=AWESOME.
I was totally pleased with the result. At $ 55, the first visit is a little steep, but touch-​ups every 4 – 6 weeks thereafter are only $ 40, so if you keep up on your waxing, it’s a little cheaper.
Totally going back.

Best Facial in Town!

Arian was voted Best Esthetician 2008 by the Cascadia Weekly — she gets my vote for 2009!!! Her warm and cozy space, while tiny, has everything you need to experience your best facial ever. Wonderful products, wonderful skills — and for a price that you won’t believe! I keep coming back for more. I hear she’s expanding her space to include hair and nail services… can’t wait!
