Not happy at all. My friend and I got a takeout yesterday of spicy fried chicken, garlic beef and pork lo mein. The chicken was not spicy or fried, although it did have two dried chilis amongst the veggies. All three had essentially the same brown Chinese sauces consisting of broth thickened by corn starch. Completely lacking in flavor and authenticity. If you are looking for a standard Chinese American meal, this may be your thing. If not, move on. This city desperately needs a Chinese restaurant with authentic Chinese dishes.

Been coming here for 12 years. I don’t give a rat’s(*) about«authenticity.» Food is delicious. Never had a bad meal. Owners always on site and they’re willing to modify any dish to suit you. Staff friendly and courteous.

Our take-out order was well-packed and prepared with care. Hard to find good Chinese these days but Panda Palace definitely hit the spot. Each item tasted fresh and clean — not dripping or tasting like a grease bomb. We’ll be keeping this place on our«go-to» list.

Fortune cookie says: You will be back! It’s hard to beat a late night phone order of your favorite Chinese dishes such as General Tso’s chicken and Vegetable Delight. Pickup is ready in 20 minutes, and there is always free parking out front so that you don’t have to walk far. Entrees come with a side of Jasmine white rice. When unpacking your goodies at home, you’ll notice that the familiar white«to go» boxes are microwave friendly which is great for reheating all of those leftovers. Every goodie bag includes a fortune without costing you a fortune. All of the little extras are included for free, such as a fortune cookie, soy sauce, and sweet and sour sauce. The staff will also pack chopsticks if you need them. While your fortune cookie might not include the winning lottery numbers, bringing home a cooked meal that hits the spot with little clean up will definitely be a big win with family or friends.

Despite all the good reviews here, it would be charitable to call this place mediocre. For lunch, I had egg drop soup. It was very salty and artificially colored yellow(I believe it’s because they used chicken soup«base» with artificial color). The soup was also over-thick with cornstarch. The chicken and vegetable entre was again too salty, and the white meat chicken, which was plentiful, tasted like it had been soaked in salt water and didn’t seem very fresh. The vegetables were fresh and crisp, though there weren’t nearly enough of them(one Chinese pea pod in the whole dish for example). The décor of the restaurant is fairly pleasant, but the place looked a bit worn, the carpet needed a through cleaning. The bathroom too needed a deep cleaning. The wait people were pleasant, but not particularly attentive, though my lunch did arrive on the table promptly. If this is the best Chinese restaurant in Bellingham, it’s really pitiful.

Food’s good, prices are reasonable and the reliability’s perfect. I’ve probably been here 20+ times and every order’s been spot on. They’re now the only Chinese I get.

I stopped in for lunch since I had just landed in nearby Bellingham airport and was really hungry, plus they had free Wifi. They have many lunch specials for about $ 6.95/$ 7.95 that come with soup and other side dishes, but I decided to have the dragon and phoenix dish on their regular menu(a platter of general tso chicken on one half with a shrimp vegetable stir-fry in spicy tomato sauce on the other for $ 12.95). I also added a small bowl of wonton soup($ 2.50). Price-wise it was definitely reasonable, although taste-wise it was OK, the dishes were way over-sauced and the onions were undercooked. Plus it had the all-too-familiar sweet aftertaste of chinese fast food. Although on the plus-side the ambience was casual and comfortable, with booths along the walls and center aisle of the restaurant. Waitstaff and host were also attentive and nice.

I’m not a stickler for perfection when it comes to food. Some of the best food I’ve had has come from some small, greasy, located in the middle of nowhere places. I normally don’t even worry about hair in my food, I mean as long as I spot it first no foul. Sadly this place manages to check almost all the wrong boxes. Hair in food, check. Leaking urinal in bathroom with coffee can to collect water, check. Rubbery chicken, check. Random boxes lying around, check. Bland food, check. The staff were nice and the food is crazy cheap but I’d rather pay a little more and gotten a better meal elsewhere. It’s also possible they don’t bring their A game on Saturdays at lunch, but I’ll need some compelling arguments to make me try it again.

Tried this place for take out TWICE and was VERY pleased. Both with the selection and the prices. Large portions made fantastic left overs the next day. The only«issue» I have come across is a very unflavorful, watery War Wonton soup that really bummed me out. Other than that, everything we’ve had is fantastic: pan fried dumplings, egg drop soup, shrimp fried rice, house lo mein, chicken and veggies and their kung pow chicken.

The best Chinese food I have experienced that is not in New England. That is saying a lot! I have not been shy about my lack of good Chinese restaurants, from Florida, Virginia, Texas, and pretty much every state in between, nothing was holding a candle to good, tasty Chinese cuisine. Frankly, I have been surprised how hard it has been to find a decent place. Enter Xing’s Panda Palace. I don’t quite know what caused us to want to give it a shot. It is in a strip mall, and it looked clean on the outside. I usually get the same food items whenever I eat at a Chinese restaurant, and it’s pretty much a Pu Pu Platter and a plate of house fried rice. When the lazy Suzan with a hibachi grill and streno flame came out, I instantly knew I found my new favorite Chinese restaurant. I had not seen this since New Hampshire. The food on these are standard, but the next test was how good was the egg roll. One bite of that egg roll and I would have sworn that I was back in Manchester, NH at the Aloha restaurant, my all-time favorite Chinese restaurant. It was just like I remembered them tasting and looking like growing up. This may sound funny, but they are sort of pink inside. I don’t think it’s the pork, but whatever it is, I this was familiar to me. One of the sauces that accompanies the Pu Pu platter looked like duck sauce, and it tasted very close to it It was the closest I have found to New England style duck sauce outside of New England, and I asked for more! Then the rice came out. It was a pile of house fried rice that looked as good as it tasted. They were even generous with the shrimp! Go out and try this place for yourself! We have been back twice since finding this restaurant! It’s well worth the hour and a half drive for good food for us!

I’d been reluctant to try Panda Palace mostly because of the generally subpar Chinese food in town, but I really wanted something Asian the other night and this was the only place still open. I’m SO glad we finally stopped in. The restaurant was pretty empty, so we were sat pretty quickly with menus. The menu offers pretty standard American-Chinese fare and I was looking for something a little more authentic. We tried the house special pan-friend chow mein, eggplant in garlic sauce and double cooked pork. I thought the food was decent, the portions were great, but everything came in a brown sauce that kind of all tasted the same. That may have been my fault in ordering things with similar flavor profiles, so I’ll definitely be back to try other dishes. The noodles were crispy and delicious(they were cooked Hong Kong-style — regular, long noodles fried to be crispy rather than the the weird, short«chow mein» noodles) and the eggplant was particularly good, in my opinion. The double-cooked pork threw me off a little bit. I just expected it to be the Szechuan-style twice-cooked pork, but instead it was the red BBQ pork that had just been stir-fried with veggies. Not bad by any means, just not what I expected. We walked in about a half hour before closing and they were so nice to us. The food was pretty good and the prices, not bad. We’ll be back for sure!

We were thinking to try another new restaurant so I search on Unilocal and I chose Panda Palace. When we just sit down they serve us free good tea, and we came before 3 so it is still on lunch special. Me and my husband both ordered chicken and shrimp combo, it comes with rice and choice of soup, wonton and crab Rangoon or soda, my husband chose soup and I chose crab Rangoon. The food was good and the service was excellent.

I’ve only lived in Bellingham for a year therefore I don’t have a feel for other Chinese Restaurants in this area, however I just finished eating take-out from Panda Palace and it was wonderful. The total cost including tax was less than $ 22 and we got more food than we could eat at one setting. We had #21 Egg Foo Young combination plate and #103 Almond Fried Chicken.

1 minute before the lunch specials would be over I walked into the door… The hostess was very pleasant as she showed me the lunch menu. Three minutes later I sat down to wait for my to go order. I was given a decent wonton soup and a glass of ice water. Pretty busy 3 o’clock Tuesday. I watched as beautifully presented platters swept past me exhuding wafts of tantalizing aromas. I didn’t wait to get home to have a taste… And the large portion of triple Asian delight really was delightful with a pungent brown sauce and perfectly cooked al dente bright broccoli. I was in and out within 7 minutes with a wonderful meal that cost about 7 bucks!

I’ve been coming to PP for years. Their lunch specials are amazing — you get a giant entrée(several to choose from), plus soup and rice(choice of steamed or fried), for $ 6.95. They also serve each guest a delightful little appy, a bag of deep fried Chinese noodle goodness. The service is always fast, and the food arrives quickly. My favorite from the lunch menu is their Yakisoba with shrimp — they use a large shrimp and the noodles are cooked perfectly. The Broccoli Beef is also delicious, with tender meat and expertly stir-fried broccoli. The kids love their General Tso’s Chicken which, as with several of their dishes, can be ordered with up to 5 stars of spiciness. If you’re looking for good Chinese food in Bellingham, skip the grossness that is Panda Express and instead hop right across the street to the Panda Palace. You won’t be disappointed!

The portions are great, although the high point is the lunch special. Amazing soup, rice, and an amazing and diverse menu(although I myself always seem to get Sesame Chicken with broccoli, it’s too good). The owners are great people, and the serving staff always polite. My family have come to Panda Palace for lunch when in Bellingham for over a decade. Hard to give a better recommendation than that!

Easily some of the worst Chinese in Bellingham. Ordered the Mongolian Beef, or shall I say Mongolian Onions. Sesame chicken, which was over sauced , soggy, and with questionable chicken. Pork fried rice was nothing but bland rice with the typical medley of peas, carrots, and onions. I was hoping that would save the meal but the janky tasting BBQ pork was awful, I spent more time picking it out then anything else. Also ordered egg rolls that tasted like nothing more than cabbage laced with sesame oil. The whole meal was a total disappointment and we ended up throwing most of it away. I wonder about the cleanliness of the kitchen and freshness of the produce after picking too many questionable tasting items out if each dish. If someone has a good lead on delicious Chinese food in Bellingham or Ferndale please let me know, this is one thin Bellingham is still lacking!!!
