Bellmore Playhouse

I would give it no stars if possible. One word, FILTHY! I was pretty shocked. Bathrooms were disgusting. The theater was filthy. They only had like 3 people working for what I could see. Never will be going back there and I recommend no one does until it is redone and actually well managed. Yuck!

I love this place. I love jam out with my friends too. I have 2 cats. My favourite movie is Zoolander 2 and I also like despicable me 6. Overall, a very nice movie theatre m8.

Nice, low-​key movie theater. They have the Tuesday specials. Just a down home kinda place.

This is the dirtiest, smelliest theater i’ve ever been to. I can’t find a single adult to say anything to. The theatre is full of food, wrappers, and napkins and i got the same excuse as the last time I was here «we are understaffed». If you can afford new seats, why can’t you hire more staff?

Tuesday discount night!!! finally found a theater with discounts on Tuesdays. there isn’t anything I found bad about this theater. it’s def not an Amc for sure, but decent enough.
I am interested in this private party though, will def try to plan one out soon!
btw, watch London has fallen. great movie!

This theater is a dump. I sat through a wonderful movie which was a distraction to the fact that the theater had no heat. Every one around me was bundled up with their coats on. When you the movie ended, a few customers were annoyed and one of them told the front desk attendant that there was no heat in the theater and that it was very uncomfortable and she asked for a refund. The attendant «Julianne» was extremely rude. No need for me to go into the details of the conversation. Suffice it to say that Julianne was abusive and mocked the woman (who by the way was a senior citizen, and I disclose this observation because there was no need for such disrespect for any complaining customer but certainly not for an elderly person). Management needs to alert the customers if the heating system is down and train their employees to be kind, respectful and how deal with sensitive situations like the one I experienced. I was not involved in this argument but I was appalled by Julianne’s behavior and reaction to a simple matter.

I love bellmore playhouse because it’s a small theater. Even when it’s crowded, it’s not overwhelming like a giant amc. Every time I’ve gone, the facilities were clean. I also love that on Tuesdays they offer $ 6 movies all day.
If you prefer small theaters, bellmore is the way to go!

Only came here because «The Gift» wasn’t playing at AMC Levittown
The theaters here are tiny as are the screens too. The seats are so uncomfortable.

The staff are horrible there so mean and the popcorn taste like card board the popcorn recipe needs to change. The staffs attitude needs to change. They should expand the theater because the theaters are to small.

Came in to see Minions. Theatre is FILTHY. No cleaning staff between showings. Apparently they believe in self cleaning by leaving a SINGLE, FULL garbage can in FRONT of the screen for everyone to toss their garbage in. This place was much better before the current owners took over. Claiming there was a birthday party in here. Still no excuse for leaving it in this condition for the incoming crowd.

The best movie theatre on Long Island. Always has been and I only think it is getting better.
First run movies at convenient times; and they start on time so show up on schedule. Prices of tickets and concessions are the lowest anywhere around, including all-​day discounts on Tuesday.
Staff is young, local and friendly. Just an overall good experience at the movies.

Saw Guardians of the Galaxy! Awesome movie! If you haven’t see it, do so! If you have, did you like it or no?

We staged a surprise party at the Bellmore Playhouse for my mom’s 70^th birthday. She’s a big movie buff, and her favorite film is Casablanca. So we rented out one of the theaters and screened the film. It was very reasonably priced, and Francesca (the events manager) and Emilio (general manager) were helpful and flexible, making everything very easy. Everything was set up exactly according to plan — they even put her name up on the marquee, and let us set up a step-​and-​repeat and roll a «red carpet» down the aisle. It was a perfect celebration, and I thank the Bellmore Playhouse for making my mom so happy on her special day.

I went there for the first time to see Frozen with my family the other day. I went for a matinée show, so I didn’t have any of the issues with teenagers that the other reviewers mention. However, the teenagers working there were all pretty unfriendly, unhelpful, and borderline rude. I took it with a grain of salt because they were kids. However, here’s the reason I will never go back. We ordered nachos which we simply could not eat – they were stale and the cheese sauce they came with was pretty nasty. So after the movie we mentioned it to the manager in order to get a refund. He very grumpily proceeded to take a couple of chips and break them on the counter in front of us, and said, «they’re not stale.» we politely disagreed, and he ended up giving us our $ 4.25 back, but it was just beyond unnecessary. If you work with the public there is no excuse for that kind of rudeness.

Well, I’m not sure what I could really say about a movie theater, but I like this place. It’s close, on a good shopping street, isn’t too big, and has pretty reasonable prices for tickets. To be honest, the only complaints are the teenagers that come at night; they tend to be pretty annoying, plus the snacks are a bit pricey compared to the tickets.
Overall, this is one of my favorite theaters.

Management is very kind here, we were forced to leave mid-​movie for personal reasons and they issued us two free passes for a future movie.

*shrug* It’s a movie theater, not unlike most of them. Good selection of movies, good location (middle of Bellmore «shopping district»), nice enough employees. Might as well support local businesses, right? Right.
Edited to Add: Yeah, lots of teenagers hang out around town in the summer and on weekend evenings. Kids are kids — they like to hang out in groups. That said, I’ve never run into any obnoxiousness, whether inside or outside the theater.

It’s a new clean theater.

The Bellmore Playhouse should practically be paying my family’s taxes with all the money I’ve spent there. I really like this theater because
1) its close
2) they always have up to date movies and the occasional random one is thrown in there too
3) they have a lot of food… and i love food
3) the ticket prices are reasonable
There are also some major downsides
1) the scary drug dealers and teenage ruffians (and thats coming from one of them)
2) the food (unlike the tickets) is ridiculously overpriced
Overall its a good theater and i would recommend it. Just be forewarned… you never know who your gonna run into…

I had to get this in, since we three are officially the three coolest people from the Bm.
Your opinion of this place of course will vary depending on who you are – if you’re under 17, don’t have a car, or if your friends work the theater then you’ll obviously love it. Everyone else? I’m not so sure … let’s just say I was warned once by a trusted source (though this was several years ago) to stay away from the ice.
If I were born and raised in the area, I’d probably like the place more. It has a very local everybody-​knows-​your-​name feel (that is, if everybody knows your name).
