We have been here several times but this is our first review. This place is a local favorite with good pizza and a dining area that is separated from the pizza counter. Last night we had 2 of the chef’s specials which included salad and a glass of wine. Our entrees were the steak and the shrimp dishes. Nothing memorable about the food but it is tasty. The service as always is great.

I have been going to this restaurant for over 25 years. Excellent food and a great rear dining room. Great friendly staff and centrally located on the South Shore on Merrick Rd. Highly recommend.

We are new to the area and ordered a pie in (courtesy of their gift card that was sent) while our kitchen was under construction. They were fast and being from Astoria, I had low expectations on LI Pizza. I was very surprised when we opened and enjoyed an awesome pie! So delicious and fresh! We will definitely be heading back! Thanks for the pie and the service!

They have some of the best cheese pizza you will ever have in your life. It’s also reasonably priced. As for their specialty slices, those are less reasonably priced, though many are quite good. Their baked ziti is ok, but not great. Their baked ziti doesn’t have ricotta cheese in it (which I always thought was part of baked ziti), so that was a little odd and less flavorful. I don’t really eat their other dishes, so I couldn’t really say how they are. I mostly just eat ordinary pizza here, and it’s great. If you’re looking for a plain slice of pizza, or a pie, then I would say this is probably one of the best places you could order from.

Service is absolutely deplorable. I had ordered from here once prior to this particularly disgusting interaction I had with this zero star staff, and the food was just ok. But I ordered recently through grubhub and the staff of Stella’s called me back. With an attitude, the girl on the phone told me that *i* needed to call grubhub and make them send an adjustment. First of all, why is it a customers responsibility to fix the mistake between them and grubhub? Second of all, when I waiting on hold with grubhub for 15 minutes, I hung up and called Stella’s. The guy on the phone told me «why should they fix my problem.»
To Stella’s manager and owners: first rate staff you got there. They really know how to speak to customers. For only decent food, I will NEVER return.

I’ve been coming here for pizza since i was young and it has never ever let me down. It is always consistent and super delicious. My favorite is the plain and the pepperoni– very basic with thin crust, sauce and lotsss of cheese. Ive also have the eggplant parm pizza and its thick fried eggplant, ricotta cheese, mozzarella and sauce and its very tasty. The buffalo chicken and bbq chicken are also great recommendations. If you are looking for amazing pizza, you will not leave here disappointed

Pizza places being a dime a dozen on Long Island, motivation must be pretty high for me to travel 10 plus minutes passing I don’t know about 50 pizza places along the way to get here. Well I would travel longer if I had to! Totally worth it. Stella’s specialty slices just cannot be beat. They have a honey mustard chicken slice that not that many places that I have been to have do and the ones that do can’t even compare. On the flip side Buffalo chicken slices you can get almost at any pizza place but no one does it like Stella’s. Most places charge outrageous amounts of money for specialty slices but are stingy with the chicken or whatever the main ingredient is. But not Stella’s. The slices are LOADED with chicken. I’m actually going back tonight to see if they do a BBQ chicken slice. If not I’m sure I’ll find something that as usual, knocks it out of the park.

By the far the best pizza you will find in nassau county! The selection available when you walk in the front door is unreal. From buffalo chicken, chicken marsala, honey mustard chicken to just a plain old regular or sicilian, this pizza is as good as it gets. Staff is very friendly and delivery time is quick

Been coming here since the 1980’s when they were located across the street from their present location. It’s my regular Italian pizza joint as I have not found a better place in my area. I’ve had just about all of their dishes and cant find fault except for one thing… the garlic knots. They are made too inconsistent. Sometimes they are just right with the right balance of oil, garlic, cheese; and sometimes they are too dry, not enough fresh garlic, and too little grated cheese. Other than that I find everything else too my liking
Try the chicken wrap if you need a quick bite to eat. It’s great when you’re on the go!
The staff has always been courteous and professional in the 25+ years I have been going there.

Decent food, personal pizzas are very good and usually are delivered quick. Don’t order the garlic on the pizza though it kills all the taste because it is fresh garlic, not cooked. Overall decent local pizza place for us Bellmore people. Stick to the pizza stuff, or the pasta though.

Found this place on GrubHub and ordered it for delivery last night. We tried a little bit of everything… a 10-​inch cheese pizza, pepperoni & sausage pinwheel, buffalo chicken pinwheel, chicken wings and a sausage & peppers hero.
Can’t say the chicken wings were good, but we were pleasantly surprised by everything else! Pizza was awesome, the pepperoni & sausage pinwheel was a nice twist on a plain pepperoni pinwheel and the buffalo chicken pinwheel was delicious.
Will definitely order from Stella’s again!

I have never been so disrespected in my entire life by an establishment such as this. My coworkers and I tried to order delivery to our job (where they have delivered before) and the man on the phone was extremely unpleasant and rude. After a second call Trying to order because of being talked to rudely, the same man proceeded to hang up on my friend who was trying to fix the situation. How can a delivery food establishment have the nerve to hang up and deny delivery to paying customers ESPECIALLY when you were not giving attitude to the employees?! I can’t even review the food because the customer service was so bad. Good luck to anyone trying to order some food for delivery in the future!

If these guys think they’re Gangsters from Brooklyn, they got NOTHIN’ on it! I walked out the other day so I didn’t laugh in the face of the idiot behind the counter serving stale slices of ‘pizza’.
The food ain’t bad, just not great. It’s the attitude they shove at you that makes this place a joke.
UPDATE: as of September 2014 the guys behind the counter are a *little* bit nicer. the pizza is good, so sometimes one just has to suffer with jerks

Stellas has a special which for $ 19.95 you get a large pie, CHOICE of baked pasta and 12 garlic knots.
I have CHOICE of baked pasta in uppercase because I had to confirm the definition of the word CHOICE because Stella’s might have re written the its true meaning.
CHOICE
the act of choosing: the act of picking or deciding between two or more possibilities
: the opportunity or power to choose between two or more possibilities: the opportunity or power to make a decision
: a range of things that can be chosen
So when i went to order my Baked Pasta on the menu under Baked Pasta, I choose Lasagna which is 95cents more than the other Baked Pasta’s. The Stellas person told me that is not an option. Nowhere on the coupon did it say anything different than CHOICE of Baked Pasta.
I find this to be a bait and switch and not in line with providing a legitimate customer experience.

WOW! «WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!!»
I was only here once before and the service was okay. But man, tonight was just ridiculous! I tried to call in an order for pick up and I was immediately put on hold. Not asked if I could hold but TOLD to hold. A minute goes by, then two, then three, then five! I tried calling back 6 times and each time I was placed on hold for more than 5 minutes at a pop! «UNACCEPTABLE!»
Then I finally get one of the guys and I asked what the heck was going on? The kid then laughs at me! Now, I am furious! I said to him «How much do business do you lose on a daily basis for keeping people on hold so long?» He again laughs and says «Well, we’re short handed tonight.»
I have 14 other pizzeria’s around my neighborhood and I’ll be damned if I am going to be laughed at!
My business will be taken elsewhere! Don’t have the time nor the patience to play games. There are other business dying for loyal customers! My search is on!
Raise the bar on your staffing so your P&L doesn’t suffer anymore!!!

Another LI pizza joint that performs as expected, doesn’t disappoint doesn’t over impress either.
but in my ongoing quest to find one or more menu items that are standouts, I’m gonna agree with reviewer Moe G., the deep dish, Sicilian Eggplant Slice is worth stopping in, that slice is a five star slice.

This place was okay. I met up a friend here (she and her family used to go here all the time). I got baked ziti Siciliana, which is basically with eggplant. This is usually my favorite. The dinner comes with a decent salad and I liked their house dressing. But there was no romaine only iceberg. The bread was good and overall the meal was okay. I’ve had better but it wasn’t bad.
And the restaurant area is nice. It has big seating and rustic colors. I went in through the pizza place and didn’t even know they had a back area!
