My wife and I are patients at Sparacio Physical Therapy with offices in Manhasset, Glen Cove and Hicksville, New York. If you need physical therapy as so many of us do, go there. They are terrific!

Porters has become a staple in Bellport village and for good reason, great food. It’s a nice place with a mostly nice atmosphere, a little loud for what their style suggests but that’s because the place is always full… I’d like some better beers and even wines but it works just fine. Never have I left unhappy, just a little more broke.

What a great find! We are new to the south shore and are so pleased we gave Porters a try! The atmosphere was comfortable and cozy, the service was impeccable and the food was absolutely delicious! Prices were very fair as well! We ordered three appetizers, the baked clams, sliders and fried calamari– all very good. For entrees our party ordered — rack of lamb(the daily special), braised short ribs, swordfish and steak & shrimp. The short ribs were some of the best I’ve ever had. All dishes were cooked perfectly to what we ordered and the sides were yummy as well. We were too full to order dessert but if it’s anything like the rest of the food I’m sure it’s amazing. Can’t wait to go back again soon, porters is definitely going to become a dining out staple for us!

All around excellent! Food, service, atmosphere ! Some of the best fare I’ve had in Long Island in some time. Great for a casual dinner or a fancy affair. Came to celebrate my sister and her fiancé’s engagement and the experience was top notch! Will be back!

*UPDATED I returned with the gift certificate and three additional times and the meals were impeccable for myself and company, along with the service. I got the filet my last 3 visits and it was perfect! After a few more experiences I will change my review to a 5 star rating! Proof that places are worth a second chance. I am very picky about cook on my steak and that makes or breaks the dining experience. Got a bottle of wine salads and seafood… my steak was not cooked right and I was given a $ 50 gift certificates to come back. The service was very good and our waitress was a total sweetheart, she even remembered us when we come back. The perfect service made up for the disappointment in the food.

Short ribs, steak, chicken entrées all were excellent as well as truffle fries and creamed spinach. New England clam chowder was very thick, heavy & pasty not like a soup so would not recommend. Outdoor seating & indoor décor very pleasant. Would highly recommend!

I’m at 4 stars mainly due to the cozy atmosphere and the front porch seating option. The service was friendly, but a little slow. My friend and I split the raw bar platter. While the seafood tasted fresh and the shrimp were nice and meaty, the cocktail sauce was very dry. If they make it on site, I think they need to add some more ketchup and less horseradish so it isn’t so clumpy. That’s all we had so I can’t speak for the rest of the menu, but given the lack of options in Bellport and the immediate area, I would go back to try more.

This place back in the day used to be the Bayport Chowder House, now its Porters on the Lane in pretty Bellport Long Island. Porters on the Lane is a charming and very American looking restaurant. There is a nice porch out front where you can relax and wait for your table. When you walk in, to your right side is the bar. Make a left and there is a small dining room. There is a second dining room in the back as well. My wife and I ordered drinks. The menu is fun and yet still Long Island seafood. We ordered cups of «Chowda» as well as a pot of Mussels and Tuna Tacos. All of the seafood tasted fresh. I’m noticing the crowd and its an eclectic mix of guys with Dockers and boat shoes as well as a guy on a Saturday night wearing shorts and flip flops. In March(Its kinda chilly) You can be comfortable here in jeans and a polo shirt. There was a band playing Saturday night. When we finished our dinner, we walked to the bar and listened to some great jazz. No cover charge, Porters on the Lane is a nice spot to chill and have a nice meal in Bellport

I’ve been here twice, both times I made sure to make a reservation. On weekend nights the bar is packed and the restaurant is usually full! They do have a great happy hour with half off apps and reasonably priced drinks between 4−7pm, but getting to the bar itself can be a challenge as mentioned. Appetizers: Mini Tuna tartare taco’s were flavorful, emphasis on the mini, they looked like little fridge magnets. Baked clams were delicious, flavorful and had bacon in them! Friends ordered a salad which was tasty but a very small portion for the price. Entrée’s: Sea scallops with mushroom & asparagus risotto(best risotto I’ve ever had and the scallops were tender and seared just perfectly!) Filet Mignon — tender, well cooked! Side of Lobster Mash — from the reviews it seems everyone loves this, my date and I could have done without it and maybe an extra side of the risotto! Braised Short ribs — flavorful ! Really enjoyable and a good portion size too! Overall: Definitely on the pricey side, but quality of food is great! I’d like to try this place for lunch in the future.

Love the filet mignon here. It’s always tender and juicy with a red wine demi… We got a nice table right by the fire place.

I’ve only been here once but I am looking forward to my next visit already! It’s a very cute and quaint restaurant but enough space to host a large table party if needed. The bar looked nice and the cocktails they had were pretty tasty. I ordered a filet with lobster tail because, how can you go wrong? The answer. You can’t. It was delicious! The filet came out perfectly cooked medium just how I like it, and the lobster tail didn’t even need butter. The dinner also came with a side of green beans and mashed potatoes which were both perfectly executed. Our waitress was extremely nice and patient while we ordered. Over all wonderful experience!

This is a great quant find. I took my grandparents here and we truly enjoyed ourselves. We went for lunch. The food was good, if this was just based on the food is give it 4 stars. 5 stars is due to the service. Our waitress was super nice and attentive. We did have a little situation where my grandmother started chocking on her food(she’s elderly and has problems chewing sometimes) our waitress immediately came over to see if everything was okay and when I explained the situation to her she said she would take care of it, took my grandma’s plate, and cut the chicken into tiny pieces. She was also very patient, which was really nice and caring as she treated my grandparents as they were her own. Great place and oh and amazing dessert!

Luxurious Lunch or Maritime Munch This sea-themed restaurant has a very inviting feeling from the décor to the affable staff. There is a fireplace in the back if you want to get warm and toasty. I came here last year and had to come back again for a meal fit for a royal sea captain. We started with a 50 percent off glass of wine, courtesy of a Unilocal check-in. We ordered sparkling water which came with slices of lemons and limes gingerly rimmed around a martini class. We chose two appetizers which were the tuna-tartare tacos and a bowl of New England clam chowder. The warm creamy chowder was comforting from start to finish. There was a generous amount of clams in the bowl. Not one spoonful was void of clams. I also really enjoyed the kernels of corn which added a sweet crunch to the dish. The tuna-tartare tacos were dainty but packed such a cool burst of refreshing flavors. They sat atop a bed of guacamole and had a finely diced mango salsa sprinkled on top. The coolness of the dish was a nice balance to the warm chowder. I decided to go with the porterhouse with Parmesan truffle fries and garlic spinach. The steak was a little on the tougher side even though I ordered it medium rare. However, the crispy fries were a delicious accompaniment. The buttery garlicky spinach also helped balance the dryness of the meat. My girlfriend ordered the truffle ravioli which was out of this world. It was cheesy velvety deliciousness which made me melt in my seat. The light drizzle of balsamic vinegar added a slightly sweet tang to the sauce. The sweet roasted plum tangy tomatoes bursts in your mouth and helped counteract the heaviness of the cream sauce. The prevalent truffle flavor takes an otherwise good dish to an other worldly level. Porter’s will have you sail off into discovering flavors you never thought existed.

Had dinner here 3 times. The food never disappoints but the noise level sometimes gets too loud that it’s hard to have a conversation at dinner. I understand that the proximity of the bar to the dining room doesn’t allow for much noise barrier but it’s not that great for those who are dining at the restaurant. I’ve enjoyed the wedge salad and the strawberry and goat cheese salad, and once got to try their special salad with avocado and mango dressing salad — very delicious! They have a pretty big variety of daily specials so it’s always exciting to see the list. The baked clams were tasty as well. My husband enjoyed steak with shrimp dish as well as a sirloin burger on another occasion and I tried the truffle ravioli and pan seared halibut and it was good. Tried the sorbet once and wasn’t impressed but the other desserts looked delicious. Definitely worth giving the restaurant a try!

Hate to say it, but Porters was a major disappointment. Went for an early weekend dinner and was surprised to see several empty tables in the dining room. Surprised because I had thought this this was a hot spot. The bar and the porch were crowded but not the main dining room Service was confused. Some tables got bread baskets others didn’t. I didn’t care so I never asked. Some servers read specials to their tables — ours didn’t… Menu did look good. I started with a small shellfish platter consisting of oysters, clams, shrimp and lobster.($ 26) Sound great and priced right. Only nothing was particularly good. Surely my next course would be better. Nah. Cheeseburger ordered medium rare came out well done. No pink, no juice — just a large slab of dry, well done meat. «Hand cut» fries were even worse. They were served pale and barely room temperature. Mealy inside it was almost like they had been microwaved at some point. Dessert, a peach cobbler, was as bad as the fries. How it was heated up is unknown, but again I suspect that a microwave was involved. Bellport is a cute little village with lots of good nearby places to dine. Until changes are made, this should not be one of them.

Came in town from the city and this was one of the better dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. Our waitress Kat was very knowledgeable and sweet. She suggested we try the«Man Mimossas,» made with Guiness, a must try! We had the crispy calamari with a spicy aioli and general tso boneless wings, excellent! For an entrée I enjoyed the Lobster Roll, which is a season item but one of the best I’ve ever had. The lobster and buttery roll were clearly sent from above. One of my friends had the burger with Gorgonzola cheese I believe, great feedback. Overall great service, beautiful location and excellent food and drinks. Can’t go wrong.
