Odd hours and the food is so-so. Some people like it, not me. Chicken breast had a like processed meat patty texture. Breakfast tacos are their speciality. They are ok, but I’m not a fan. Coffee was a good dark stronger roast. There is better food for same price in the area that have normal hours.

I’ve eaten here a bunch of times and when I ordered the Camarones del Diablo(Devil’s Shrimp) this time, they came out still shelled and with the legs still on them, and they were UNDER-COOKED and COLD!!! Nasty. The waitress said she would get another order out right away and it took her 40 minutes to do this. Everyone else had finished their food by then after they had said they would wait for me to receive my plate. Can you blame them? No big deal, but not real professional of this place either. A couple in there once told me that they only come for the breakfast and one or two items off the lunch menu. This is SO-SO Mexican food… Oh but the hot salsa they can bring out to you is pretty good… …. .

YES! The happiness that a good breakfast taco can give me is quite astonishing. Mum and I came here for breakfast. Neither of us had been before, her co-workers recommended it above our normal haunt. The décor is probably crazy to most people, but it reminds me of my late great-grandmother’s house in Brownsville so it makes me smile and laugh. We both went with breakfast tacos and they were awesome. We also ordered a side of avocado, which was an entire ripe avocado. Perfect.

Well… we drove past a couple breakfast taco place to try this one on based on Unilocal reviews. After going we should have gone someplace else. I agree that sometimes a family owned place is nice but when things go south family sticks together and customer service can suffer. Our waitress took our orders wrong somehow eventhough it looked like she wrote it down. My son orderd a potato, egg cheese taco. He got a bacon egg cheese taco. My wife wanted a bean and potato taco, but wanted the beans on the side. The waitress said they cant put the beans on the side and that we would have to order and pay for a full side. We told her to forget the side then. She still brought it. Generally not a big deal but she(the waitress) seemed upset with us that she got the order wrong. Then it turned out that the potatoes in the taco were cold in the middle. Of course the waitress didnt like to hear that either. She was not apologetic in the least during the whole episode. Sorry we stopped in to try you guys out and ruined your day!

This is a small-town restaurant with delicious food. The staff appear to be mostly family, and they were kind and treated us like family. I don’t personally care for their salsa(it’s warm & tangy), but their food makes up for it! I recommend this place to anyone looking for a non-chain Mexican-food option.

Best breakfast in Belton. Really, really good breakfast burritos/tacos, coffee, and chilaquiles. Fabulous staff. This is me fluffing my review, because Unilocal has decided this review is too short. Do yourself a favor and read«Common Sense,» by Thomas Paine. Then do some research about the Jefferson County School Board in Colorado. They want to remove civil disobedience from the US History curriculum. The United States are because of civil disobedience. Practice it always.

If you’re looking for breakfast, go no further. Their breakfast tacos are huge and made with quality meats. They’re messy and carnivorous like good Mexican food should be. Got the barbacoa and chorizo tacos. Two was enough. Less than $ 5, and included house salsa. I wish this place was open for dinner. Best breakfast option in Belton.

This isn’t a gourmet restaurant, I don’t know what about the place makes people think that. They make good, hardy breakfast tacos quick and cheap, and the food is consistent, yummy and filling. If you’re looking for caviar go somewhere else.

I grew up in this area and have been coming here for their cheese enchiladas since high school. I always get the same thing as it’s my absolute favorite: #10 Enchiladas Banderas. This is where I come to treat myself on my bday every year when I come home to visit family. That’s how good they are! :) Parking can be a bit tight at times and the restaurant isn’t huge but it has a nice home-y feel to it. I’ve always had good service and I’ve never walked away dissatisfied. The prices have gone up since high school but not by leaps and bounds. In almost 10yrs it’s gone up by approx $ 1.50 or so. My favorite used to be around $ 7 and now it’s just under $ 9 for the plate but completely worth it and comparable to other TexMex places. You can’t go wrong here. Everyone who orders other options on the menu always seem happy w their order. Come treat yourself sometime!

I’ve been coming to this family-owned establishment since high school and I love the place. I dig the creepy clown décor and the weird orange color of the building– the mural was a nice touch. People complain about service, but I’ve never had a bad experience. Don’t go in there with a stick up your ass; clearly, the woman is not going to take shit from anyone and I applaud her for that. I’m tired of witnessing establishments kiss customer’s asses when there is no problem except the patron’s unwarranted self-importance. That being said… Breakfast burritos are freaking AWESOME. Huge, stuffed with ingredients and most for under $ 5, save for the ‘premium’- fajita, carne guisada– which are under $ 6. Did I mention they wrapped an entire migas plate into one of these bad boys? This place is hangover heaven. No alcohol and strange hours, but they specialize in enchiladas and I personally enjoy their menudo. Most people dislike the salsa, but I think it goes very well with my favorite product– the breakfast burritos. Order yourself a horchata and you’re good to go!

I will never go to this place again! The first time I went here with my husband and adult children. My son’s order had one of the waitress’s long red hair in it. Needless to say, we all felt a bit grossed out by this and could choke down our food. Next time I just went through the drive through to get a large ice tea. The women at the window comes back with the tea and tells me it is $ 2.44. I have never paid that much for an iced tea. And then their visa machine did not work and they had no lemon. Oh, and the woman was really rude too! I had to dig up change since I couldn’t pay with my visa/debit card.

I don’t know what the other people’s problems are — the service is great. This is a family-owned business and they treat you like real people, so sure, it’s not a yes sir, no sir, can I kiss your feet sir. If you need something they get it(and get it quickly) and your drink stays full. To me that’s good service. When I asked what the waiter(who is the owner’s son) would order, he suggested the enchiladas suizas, and I was not disappointed. The tomatillo salsa on top was very tasty, the chicken was moist, and most importantly the enchilada was FULL of stuffing, not a tablespoon or two rolled up in mostly tortilla like you get at some places. Also, the salsa is delicious, ignore the other person. It’s smoky and spicy — I asked for the recipe and the waiter told me how they cooked it(I call that service, too). My boyfriend got a chimichanga covered in cheese sauce and gone in less than 3 minutes, which is a good indication of how good the food is. For a tiny little town not in the big city(we’re from Austin), this was a great stop.

Similar but different than all of the Jaliscos around here. The food is just ok and the service is less than ok. There are better choices for less money.

Fantastic chorizo burritos and migas. The fajita breakfast burrito is very, very good. Breakfast is better than dinner, but the pastor is pretty solid. They do have strange hours, but giant iced tea and a drive thru make things it worth the trip!

This is a pretty good place. Not sure of the issue the other poster had, but the chips and salsa are good and the nacho supreme is also great. I’ll probably come back again.

Well, this is what I get for stopping at a random restaurant on the side of the road while passing through Anytown, USA. Salgados claims to be «Authentic Mexican food». Well, if authentic means store bought tortillas, watery salsa, and bland/oil drenched meat, then may I die from Montezuma’s revenge before I ever eat«Authentic Mexican food» again. p. s. The 2nd star was awarded because at least I didn’t have to enjoy this food again 30 minutes later in the bathroom.
