Delicious ice cream, great selection, friendly service. The shop is cute and there are a few tables outside. Great place.

Really good ice cream! Remembered this from last time I was in tiburon so had to come back. Cool flavors like lemon cookie, cherry chocolate chunk, butterscotch pecan but I’m a chocoholic so I got a junior scoop of brownie chocolate chunk, which was delicious!

Nothing special and the management is a bit rude. This is place serves ice cream, same stuff you can just buy at most bay-area supermarkets, its call Three Twin Ice Cream. The store is also host to a grill where they cook burgers and such. It was a bit off putting when you go for ice cream and the store not only smells like a gill… but it was full of smoke. Not sure if the fans where not working but it was just an awkward experience. As for the management, I asked the young lady for half of a service and that I would pay full size. I just did not want that much and did not want to waste food. She did as I asked, then I went to pay for my ice cream and the management got upset at the server, then added another heap of ice-cream in my cup… even after I asked them not to do so. I know a small issue… but it would have been nice if they would have just given me what I wanted and allowed me to pay full price. Anyway… not a place I would visit again, just not as charming as one would expect.

The Horchata Rice Milk flavor was great; unique texture. Paired with the banana nut was the perfect mix of flavor and texture.

Walking around downtown Tiburon on a sunny Saturday afternoon, and seeing numerous visitors enjoying ice cream, we were drawn inexorably to the source — Grass Shack Organic Ice Cream on Tiburon Blvd. Yet, I was a little hesitant, since this place certainly looks like a «shack». The outside sign looks like it was printed on a computer. Inside, it had a bare-bones, temp look, as if they just moved in and set up shop last week. That’s what I assumed, until I see the first Unilocal review is from 2011! Fortunately, shoddy atmosphere doesn’t detract from great ice cream — and that’s with they serve here. Not only was the ice cream wonderful, but they had a very creative mix of flavors. I had Rice Milk Chocolate, the server’s favorite, and it was a delightful combination. I can’t remember the name of my wife’s choice, something like a caramel truffle swirl chocolate — but she loved it. The ice cream is dense and filling, so even a Junior cup for $ 3.95 was more than satisfying. You can sit outside and enjoy your ice cream(there’s nowhere to sit inside). There’s also a nice fountain nearby with benches, or a walk along the Tiburon shoreline. So, a great place for ice cream, even if it looks a little suspect.

Grass shack serves Three Twins! Consistency varies. Best flavor(imo) is lemon cookie. If you find yourself in tiburon, it’s worth a stop.

Best Three Twins ice cream and lots of flavors. Definitely NOT open until 10 but still later than I expected(maybe 8pm?).

This review is just for the ice cream. The Grass Shack scoops up locally made organic ice cream from Three Twins, so it’s all good. It’s a bit on the pricey side(it’s in downtown Tiburon, after all), but the nice woman who helped us really packed in the ice cream in my kids’ junior scoops. Next time I’m in Tiburon at lunchtime I’ll try one of their grass-fed burgers.

Tasty but expensive milkshakes($ 8), owner having issues calculating total, very long cook times for simple burgers, not recommending at all.

Cinnamon ice cream soooo good! Tastes like homemade. A couple or three drawbacks, though. One, undisciplined kids running all over the place; where else would you find them, though, when an ice cream shop is right here? Two, $ 5 for a scoop of ice cream. It IS Tiburon, but it’s not a big scoop, and it’s not so decadent that it’s worth the jacked up price. Third, both times I had a scoop, they scraped the sides of the bucket and gave me some freezer taste. Blech. I wish I could come and try some other flavors, but I was just visiting for a few days, so twice was a pretty good run. I also tried the mocha chip, and it was delicious if you like coffee. At the same spot, you can order grass fed burgers, by the way :)

As you can tell by the picture I was really excited to eat my ice cream after our trip to angel island. I got the lemon cookie ice cream in a waffle come and it’s came out to a little more than five dollars. It was very refreshing as it was a really hot day. The ice cream was three twins organic ice cream which is a really great local ice cream brand. I also tried the Mexican chocolate flavor which was good if not a little too cinnamon-y. Seating is available outside which is great for hot days like these. Will definitely be back!

They only serve Three Twins branded ice cream here. I really like Three Twins ice cream because it’s not too sweet and its creamy. Lots of creative flavors. Salted Caramel is always a favorite. Milk and Honey was delicious as well(taste a lil like vanilla). They let you taste two ice cream only according to their sign. Bummer. They also have the cardamom flavor, and I think it’s a hit or miss for some. The flavor is unique. Overall, good lil ice cream place in downtown Tiburon whether you’re cruising by in your car, walking, or biking. Fun in the sun!

The ice cream is great and the staff is nice. I enjoy stopping by and having ice cream when I can… and you’re open. One star deducted because I cannot figure out when they close. Their sign says 8pm but I’ve been by there a 7pm and they had clearly been closed for a while. Post and follow your hours so I can be a patron of your business! If you’re in Tiburon(and they’re open), definitely stop by!

Zipped in right before catching the 555pm ferry back to the city after an epic Friday bike ride– single scoop was ginormous and delicious. Was a bit of a roll of the dice as they don’t post reg. hours on their website so glad it all worked out!

Yummmm. I have seen Three Twins Ice Cream in random places but I have never tried it because it seemed like any other place. I finally tried this puppy and was super pleased with the texture and taste. The ice cream is organic which is pretty cool but I just care if the ice cream is good. I shared the peanut butter ice cream that is chocolate with peanut butter cups. If you are craving chocolate and enjoy tiny peanut butter cups, this totally for you. Well if you have chocolate, you need another flavor to even it out so we also got mint chocolate which was deliciousss. It was so smooth and just the right amount of mint. I wish there were more oreo cookie pieces but I loved it so much. If I had to choose between the two, I would defs go for the mint chocolate but if you can get both, why not? Definitely an ice cream to check out. It is located in a cute burger store with little candy bags here and there to satisfy your sweet tooth. It is located in downtown which is super cute and definitely a nice place to stroll with your ice cream. **TIPS** 1) Two scoops for $ 5.50. 2) Enjoy!

Gluten Free Ice Cream(50 cents extra) Small shop with limited seating with multiple«Three Twins» brand flavors. Lesser seen flavors including Cardamom as well as Rice Milk Horchata Flavor were available. Tasted light and relatively healthy for ice cream. The smallest size is called the junior, and that was a good amount for me($ 3.50), and it was nice that they even let me pick two flavors into a junior. Cute array of old-fashioned candy available at the counter as well(swedish fish, anyone?)

I don’t normally eat vegan, but when I do, it’s because it’s delicious ice cream. I love chocolate. I’m a sucker for it — especially dark chocolate. So when we got to The Grass Shack on a perfect, sunny day stroll, I instantly see this Vegan Rice Milk Chocolate Ice cream that looks perfectly rich, and I think, «I gotta have it.» For being dairy-free, it was surprisingly rich, yet somehow refreshing at the same time? That doesn’t quite make sense, but let me explain. To me, as much as I love the stuff, dark chocolate and chocolate ice cream in general can get a bit overwhelming sometimes, simply because of the rich nature of cocoa mixed with the creaminess of the milk. But since they used rice milk instead, the ice cream retains its richness, while resisting that overwhelming bottom-of-the-bowl chocolate ice cream experience that I dislike having. The stuff was rich and light at the same time, okay? Ice cream paradox? I believe so. Try it out and see for yourself.
