I’ve eaten here 6 times. And was blown away each time. I always order something different each time. And each time, it’s fantasic! I can’t recommend a dish, it’s all good. Honestly… maybe eggplant/chicken parm. But there is still a lot more! Hailing from bergen county. This stands up to NYC food!

Sometimes I feel bad leaving reviews for places that it seems like everyone likes. This was not a restaurant for me. I should probably stick to my favorites instead of trying to branch out to places that I have drove by a thousand times but never considered stopping. I have heard numerous people saying how much they love this restaurant. From the moment I walked in, to the moment I left, I just didn’t get it. Any place that has a Betty Boop picture on the wall really isn’t my type of place. The entire feel of this restaurant has a 70’s-80’s era vibe. It doesn’t look like its been updated since then, that being said the building has some potential to be really nice and fancy if they were to do renovations. The food was not good, at all! From the bread to the dinner, not good. The Stella was good! The waitress was very nice, I will say that. We debated walking out as soon as we sat down, and I wish we would have. I felt dirty and cramped the entire time we were eating. I guess at a place like this it just depends what your food/ambiance standards are. For me, this was just not a type of place that I was used to dining at.

Best in the Belvidere area for dinner. We have had several great dinners here. They start with Italian bread and garlic bread which is something different from most bread baskets. Pasta, seafood and burgers are great. They are flexible in the dishes-once they didn’t have something they needed for a dish so they improvised and made something similar which was very good. As someone mentioned-the bathroom stall doors don’t lock, but hasn’t been an issue. They should consider staying open later to make better use of the bar-a great band played while there once.

One of my most favoritest places to eat of all time. I always order their stacked chicken. It is divine! Medallions of chicken breast are topped with spinach and prosciutto and slices of eggplant and covered in a Marsala wine and mushroom sauce. It’s a huge plate and it comes with a side of spaghetti with meat sauce and a home made soup. Their house made chicken noodle soup is so delicious! So flavorful and with a hint of lemon to really bring out the flavors. My companion ordered the linguine in white clam sauce. It was so fresh and made with lots of garlic and clean fresh clams. No canned stuff here! An absolute must try! This old place deserves several Michelin stars for the quality of food that they serve. Bravo! Can’t wait to drive 1.5 hrs out of the way again to come back here! Everyone should try. This place is an institution and has been around for decades. I hope it stays around for a few more decades or at least til I’m dead!

Very nice restaurant. Come here for Father’s Day and other special occasions. Best restaurant in the area for dinner and a beer. Pasta dishes are always very tasty and they always have good specials. Muscles marinara is awesome, get it hot! Can’t go wrong here.

I love this place! What’s not to love? It looks like a giant old west saloon. But it’s an Italian restaurant. Is your mind blown yet? There are actual swinging sherif type doors inside and a big bar. As I recall, animal heads stare down at you as you enjoy giant vats of Italian food. We got mussels and clams for an appetizer, as well as calamari. All delicious. And THEN I got the lasagna. Huge giant delicious lasagna. With a few glasses of chianti? Please. Heaven. I can’t wait to go back!

Its right out of dark paneled 1950 and don’t expect gourmet food but what they serve is basic Italian and the prices can’t be beat. Service is excellent-most of the staff are young kids who are well trained and very attentive. Classics like ravioli and chicken parmesian are done as huge portions.

I haven’t been here since I was a child which is over 20 years. I have to say, I’ve been missing out! The fire as we walked in created a great ambiance. The service was very good. A huge table came in just after we got there, but they handled it with no problem. The food was good. The value for price paid was exceptional! We will definitely be going back!

Standard diner-esque, in a somewhat«classy» atmosphere. I ordered veal parmesan and my father did as well. It was good. Not stunning, but wholly decent. I almost ate the whole thing. The pictures below count for much. The father finished the veal parmesan, I almost did. There was a team there(I think they were the Patriots?). They were from the local high school. Their kids were getting scolded. Overall, it was a decent meal.

This place does a few things really well. Fish and Chips, french dip sandwiches, grilled chicken salads, all quite tasty. But I stick to simple diner-style dishes here, and things off of the specials menu. If you’re looking for super-healthy or gourmet, look elsewhere. But if you’re looking for a quick, comfort food lunch, it’s your place. That being said, the place is super clean and the staff are really friendly and efficient. It’s kind of a time capsule, I often feel like I’m walking into a place that hasn’t changed since the 60s or 70s. The portions are also HUGE!

Frequent Luigi’s often. Consistently friendly and accomodating. Service at the bar for food and drinks is excellent. At the tables, maybe, not so much… so…always sit at the(large) bar. Generally go for the specials. Also, the Freshly roasted prime rib is yummy — nicely seasoned — its worth the beef… always ask if it was roasted that day.

Consistent, good spot for a quick lunch. Staff very friendly, food can range from tasty to not so good. Depends on what you order, the menu is too large for them to do everything effectively — lots of frozen food that gets fried. So, stick to the lunch special menu — that’s my advice. However, they do make their own bread(smart move). It’s not bad for the area, and again, it is what it is. They do what they do well. Restaurant old and in need of maintenance but it is clean, clean, clean.

I have been here twice and probably no need to return… Mostly Italian menu, large portions but nothing I have had or our guest had anything to brag about! Less than average in the flavor department! The atmosphere is decent with a large bar. There are not a lot of options in this area it seems. This could be a nice place just needs to step it up a bit if they want to attract more than the diner pleasing crowds… thank goodness for the bar!
