Bend Battery

After 66K miles on my original battery (!!!), my little Suzuki decided she needed a new battery today. We went to Bend Battery, received most excelllent service, a warm dog welcome (Hank), a really clean facility, and Jacob couldn’t have provided any better customer service. Highly recommend!

I had the misfortune (or in all seriousness, the luck) of having to replace my Hybrid Battery pack in my 2001 Toyota Prius after running it for 16 years and putting 145 800 miles on it. To make a short story long, I took it to a Toyota guy in town who diagnosed the issue and suggested I research some fixes on the net and/​or find a local service shop that could do the replacement since he had not yet done one. I took a couple days and found some stuff online but it looked a little sketchy, and come to find out, in hindsight I would have been up the proverbial creek had I tried to DIY this job. So I reached out to some electrical specialty auto shops in Bend and although none could help me, one referred me to Bend Battery.
I’m so glad they did. After I sent Jacob an email hoping he could help me out, I got a nice reply which got the ball rolling. After a few exchanges over email and on the phone I decided on the right battery replacement option for me and had the new battery in my car by the end of the week. When I arrived to pick up the car it was getting a once over with cleaned windows, vacuumed and fresh interior.
As things go sometime, or for me all too often recently, the first battery pack didn’t work out and my car blew another engine warning a few days later. I turned it back in to Bend Battery first thing Monday Morning and before I could get an email off to Jacob he had already run the codes, taken it for a test drive, and ordered a replacement under warranty. Nice! Then I call him and he offers to take some movies back to redbox that were sitting in the back seat… this guy goes the extra mile.
I can’t guarantee you’ll get the exact same treatment from Jacob as I did but I believe he really values staking a place in the community and building a good reputation by being a thoughtful, conscientious member of it.
Long story short, I now have a great running Prius again, after 5 days driving it. and Jacob was on top of the warranty replacement from start to finish. I cannot recommend Bend Battery highly enough.

This shop is owned and operated by the same guy who was running Corvallis Battery in Corvallis, Oregon. I have no problem giving him 5 stars because I know that this shop will be the mirror image of his one in Corvallis. Great prices, great service and a friendly attitude are the foundation for his business and I know that this shop will be no different.
