This place is awesome. Walked in and asked for room 2 nites. Said they had suite w river view for $ 125/night. Yes room is little dated but super clean. Everything works. No hairdryer but office provided. No complaints at all. And the view is gorgeous. Indoor pool. Tennis court. Super quiet. Lovely park next door to throw the ball for the dog. Amazing place. Would stay here again in heartbeat.

Wanted a hotel near COCC with a kitchen and this fit the bill. A bit run down, but like that they have a full kitchen with stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave, and full size fridge. We got a suite that has a full bed and sofa bed in the living area with flat screen tv, kitchen, and bathroom plus a connecting bedroom with it’s own full size bathroom. Good size room with space for 4 to move around comfortably. TV in extra bedroom is older model. I felt safe knowing the gate to the hotel closed at 8pm, and guests use room keys to open it. But, then I wondered if there was a lot of crime and that was the reason they needed to gate off the entrance at 8??? There’s also a fireplace in living area with switch to turn it on. This is definitely not the hotel for you if you want posh. Décor is older, towels aren’t fluffy… it’s not pretty. BUT, it has everything we need for the two weeks we are in Bend. We just checked in and will update as we discover more.

Good value for the price; bare bones queen room was $ 61(AAA discount) before tax. Pretty standard bed and bathroom. TV was an old 13″ VCR combo.(Who cares, though? Didn’t come to Bend to watch TV.) I was really pleased with their pool and hot tub – it was an indoor pool, not freezing cold, and the hot tub was big and in clean condition.

Not great for the money. On this trip I’ve stayed at several places from the Bay Area of California to Vancouver, Canada and it is the second worst I’ve been to, normalized for price paid. Pros: On top floor room facing the river, which was nice, heat works well, walking distance to downtown. Cons: Smelled funny when came in, bed squeeks and is the kind that folds into the wall, 3rd floor unit without elevator, pillows were terrible and lumpy, internet didn’t work until after 3 calls to front desk. I wouldn’t complain if this was $ 70 – 80 a night, but it is $ 110.

I stayed for one night, came in little later than normally do. I was put on the far end, and the place was nearly empty, not being from the area, felt so distant from others! When I entered the room it was humid, little bit stuffy, turning on a/c on high helped rid of musty odor quickly. None of the wall unit lamps, or table lamps were plugged in, I had to move the bed mattress to reach back behind to turn on one light, and move a small telephone table to plug in the other wall lamp. The one behind the TV was too difficult to reach for a better desk light. I did have to call the front desk because the refrigerator was off, and musty smell inside. He kindly came and moved the desk and very large shelving unit which the refrigerator sat on, very heavy, to plug in the microwave, fridge, and table lamp. He wondered why the cleaning staff would have everything unplugged in this room. When we stay at any resort, hotel, motel, as a couple or traveling alone, we have always removed the bedsheets and placed in a pile to make it easier for the cleaning staff. One thing I left with this group of bedding was the bedspread as well. Although the room was listed as no pets, there was a definite dog smell coming off the bedspread while I used my laptop on side of bed, from the desk chair. Something that could be checked by staff, is simple such as tissue box, three left in box. It was not worth it to call front desk for a new tissue box. When I came out of shower with a towel, a women was opening the door! It was a cleaning lady I believe, at 9:10am or thereabouts. I thought we had until 11:00am or so. Then at 10:30am as I made a business call, another lady ‘barged’ in, a cleaning woman. I felt bad that I was in the middle of an important call and could not explain to the woman that I was planning on leaving at the designated departure time in half an hour. I did not like the invasion of privacy, I have not had that happen at any resort stay, ever. The bed was comfortable, pillows as well. The TV had a blurry look, which may mean it is an older model flatscreen, that was fine. I did notice not enough plug outlets were available. This would have nothing to do with staff, it is simply the design of the building/rooms. I should have thought to carry an extra extension cord with multiple plug-ins. The front desk was friendly. Clean upon entering area. I would hesitate to stay here again based on problems with reaching the outlets by moving furniture to do so, smell, fridge off upon arrival, and smell on the bedspread. Very thankful for the staff that came in to move heavy furniture. ~Signed, a retired teacher from out of town

My family and I stayed here while we were visiting our grandparents in Bend. I have Celiac so we needed something with a kitchen to prepare gluten free meals. I admit I had my doubts about this place but I was completely wrong. The room(s) we stayed in were clean and spacious; we got one room with a bed couch table bathroom small kitchen and closet. The other was another bed/bath with a connecting door. The stove worked very well and the fridge was clean. They also provided us with dishes, silverware, and basic serving bowls. The kitchen had a dishwasher which was great. The beds were comfy and the sheets smelled like they had just come out of the wash. Both bathrooms had showers, and both rooms had TVs. Excellent selection of channels for the amount they had. They have a wifi connection too, excellent reception. There are lighted makeup tables in each room. The view from our room balcony was breathtaking. In addition, the Bend Riverside is just 10 minutes from downtown Bend by car, about a 20 minute walk. The river is very close and there is a small park next door. Overall if you need a cheaper place to stay with accommodations such as a kitchen, there is no better place than the Bend Riverside Inn and Suites. The pictures on their website do not do them justice, the rooms look much better in person. You feel like you’re staying in a condo, rather than a hotel, feels like home.
