Crack in the Ground is a volcanic fissure over two miles(3 km) long and up to 70 feet(21 m) deep in central Oregon, US. People who like geologic formations will love this — if you don’t like these things — do not bother taking the long arduous dirty, hot journey it takes to get here. Hikers can walk the length of the main crack and explore its tributaries. When you’re down in the crack, it’s actually quite cool — so it makes for a very interesting break from the heat of this desert area.
