Visited on a Friday evening for dinner. Atmosphere, service and food were all excellent! Our waitress,(Melinda) greeted every table as if they were personal friends. The timing between courses was perfect and dishes were cleared almost immediately. The manager checked with tables to be sure everything was satisfactory and the staff seemed happy to be working there. Top notch dining experience!

This was a wonderful experience! The service was impeccable and the food superb. Staff professional and very attentive! We got the prime rib and the top sirloin, the prime rib was great, but the top sirloin was impressive! Blue cheese balsamic, what a combination! The waitress Melinda said they had the best lemon drops in town. SHEWASRIGHT! Yummy! They were constantly checking on us, had a team even the busser was able to get drinks! So fantastic! This was a 5 star experience! And if it couldn’t get much better… The manager came over and checked on us. They boxed our food and even boxed out leftover complimentary bread. Then a complimentary dessert for the birthday boy!!! This is a definite repeat and a must stop place. Restaurant business is about service and food… These guys provided both in spades.

We had dinner here on the first of January, with reservations because we were a group. We got there early, planning on having a drink at a bar nearby, but it was closed so we walked over to the restaurant hoping to go to their bar. We asked the hostess if our table could be ready early, we figured it wouldn’t be but it was worth the try– sure enough it was. They sat half of us that were there early down at our big table, facing the river near the big windows. Our server greeted us and took our drink orders. They had a cocktail list, but it wasn’t a very appealing one. We all just ordered our typical drinks. Mine was only splashed with alcohol and my boyfriend that got the same thing– his was strong. Eh. Not that big of deal. We ordered the spinach dip to start… it was solid melted cheese all stuck together in a thick glob by the time a couple of us had a scoop. Yikes. Or entrees were fine. Nothing special. Our server was nice and quiet. Very quiet. He didn’t really talk that much. Him or the other waiters helping our table never cleared any of our things. We had a huge table so it wasn’t in the way, but I was moving all of our empty drink glasses to the side hoping he would get the hint. I was halfway through my meal, when I saw that he started clearing peoples plates. We all looked at each other, like wow, what is the rush?! Next person that finished, plate was gone, then the next and so on. We did not appreciate that. Americans need to let people enjoy their meals and let people take their time. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to any of my friends or family. Sorry guys, huge miss on this. I would give it two stars if at least one of the things was better, service, food… something. But it was all about the same, just uninteresting.

We went in with a group of 8, they totally denied us and the hotesses where rude and young and uninformed/trained… HORRIBLE

Pretty disappointing. Came for lunch and the food was mediocre for the price charged. The dining room was really gross. Stains down the sides of ALL the booths across from our table, stains on our salt and pepper shakers(even the replacement ones I asked for) and employee bags, coats and hats in piles on a few of the booths by the kitchen. Something you’d expect in a Denny’s or something. Management clearly isn’t paying attention(one was sitting in a dirty booth across from us). For restaurants in this price range, I’d pick another place to go. There are tons of better places in Bend…

We had lunch at Greg’s. This place is awesome! The building itself is beautiful and very nicely decorated. My husband had the grilled cheese and tomato soup. I had a bowl of tomato soup and the Pear & Candied Walnuts salad. Both of our meals were delicious. We were seated along the windows with a view of the river, very nice view. Overall, Greg’s was a very pleasant experience, I would recommend this place to my friends and family.

Met some friends for happy hour! Good atmosphere, fun music a bit loud at times but we got a kick out of it. Good priced happy hour menu, food was pretty good but not super impressed. Service was decent no complaints, will probably give them another visit and try an entrée instead of items off the bar menu to see if they will impress.

Wow, totally not impressed with this $ 100+ meal(for three people). The only two things that saved this review from a single star was 1) our awesome waitress &2) the most perfectly cooked«medium rare» steak I’ve seen in this town(which is sad since so many tasty beefs are grown here!). Way overpriced for the quality and quantity of calories. Chicken was overcooked and tiny, pork chop was also overcooked and tiny, steak mini but spot on for the cooking. Each plate had exactly 6 spears of asparagus. So I’m paying $ 17 for half a chicken breasts-worth of meat, a scoop of garlic taters(with a big black lump in them) and 6 spears of asparagus. If they had given me a salad with that? Maybe acceptable. Flavors overall were nice though so I didn’t like go on a rampage or anything. «RAWR! MOREMEATYOUMISCREANTS!» $ 8 mixed drink special was mostly ice. Yummy and refreshing, but pretty poor on the pour. Calamari appy was good, super glad we ordered it because otherwise I would’ve starved. Lots of crumbs and an uninspired dipping sauce, but plentiful. Won’t be back, won’t recommend it to anyone(which is sad because nothing was horrific or frightening). In fact, already warned folks off.

The baked Bree and coconut prawns were great! But the calamari was undercooked and over breaded, we ended up sending it back. They seemed very rushed and gave us our check before we were even halfway done with our drinks. They wouldn’t seat us outside because they didn’t have outdoor lighting so make sure you get there a while before sunset. The atmosphere was very beautiful, but the prices were a bit too high for what we got.

Happy hour here is pretty good but I have to say that the food has been lacking lately. They have a great view and atmosphere but somewhere on the first page I looked at it said«as good as jackalope» I have to say that in my opinion that would be incorrect.

There is so much you can say about Greg’s Grill! I don’t even know where to begin but I’m in begin with the service. The most amazing service. My best friend and I went for lunch. Our server was amazing she knew we appreciate here by the amount of the tip we left for her. Let’s get into the food! You can’t possibly describe the food that’s something you’re going to have to experience for yourself! My seared tuna salad is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten to this day! Then there’s the view if you’ve been to bend Greg’s Grill has the best view in powerhouse so my advice get to Greg’s Grill! You won’t be disappointed!

I would love to see this place live up to the potential of its ambiance instead of only relying it. Save your money.

The view, food and servers are amazing. We sat on the river and had a beautiful but peaceful view. We ordered the mango Jalapeño Margarita… Not very strong but was good. The Ahi is the best I’ve ever had. Great Caesar and Calamari. Highly recommend this location!

I come to this restaurant every time my family and I come to visit Bend. I eat the artichoke and Parmesan chicken, thinking it will get better every time; it hasn’t. Although the artichoke parmesan that is on top the chicken is very tasty, the chicken is VERYDRY. But, I’m pretty sure it’s because it’s the breast. The dressing for the Caesar salad has so much lemon juice it is over powering. We then ordered the cookie dessert which you must order 30 minutes before. It was very rich with chocolate, the ice cream and milk was must. The stars are for the service. Our waitress was sarcastic but funny and the busser was always around for any questions and any help. They cleared our plates fast, however they forgot to bring the bread.

Really beautiful restaurant, good wine. We had an excellent server, I can’t recall his name but he had a red beard. I will return, excellent place to eat and enjoy the river view.

One of Our go to places for a nice dinner out with friends. Warm ambience. We’ve been there twice recently. It’s not our top Bend Restaurant, but we probably end up here more times throughout the year as a couple, or with friends or family. Consistently good food and service. If any complaint would be that the servers didn’t check back frequently, which wasn’t an issue when we didn’t need anything, but obviously absent when we did. Gregg’s offers a beautiful location with a fabulous views of the deschutes River and the mountains. We’ve been here mid week and on the weekend. We recommend reservations on the weekend and you’ll be seated promptly. We were chatty visiting with old friends who we hadn’t seen for a while so we’re not ready to order when our waitress came by. The good news is we were not rushed, but we also had long waits between checking back to finally take our order. One of my favorite meals at Gregg’s is the Ahi, whether the appetizer or the main course always cooked to perfection. We sampled a variety of entrees($ 20-$ 30) including steaks(one good, one over cooked), the prime rib(very good), the artichoke parmesan chicken(delightful), and the prawns(awesome). First time ever that I’ve been distracted by the music not sure if it was just too loud that evening or the odd pop music genre that kept getting my attention, but I’ve never noticed it before. Overall another positive dining experience without breaking the bank. Just a reminder that part of the restaurant business is that staff and cooks change, so keep that in mind when reading reviews from, 6,9 or 12 months ago.

Got takeout tonight. ordered their sweet potato fries, that were soggy. The pretzel bun sliders, that actually DIDN’T come with a pretzel bun. My girlfriend ordered the pork nachos, which had mostly chip, a tiny bit of pork and a glob of cheese in one spot. We’ve ordered this same thing a month ago and it was awesome, but tonight was extremely disappointing. Just called and talked to the manager about our poor food and he made an excuse for every single item. very poor service. He even said, and I quote«We cannot guarantee the quality of our food during happy hour».

I love Gregs, especially around Christmas when they decorate! The atmosphere here is awesome and a great place to go with a special someone for a quite dinner or a large group for happy hour! I admit I’m kinda bias because I actually built the custom entry doors to the place and designed some of the woodwork . That aside, I think they have a great menu and of course the location on the river is amazing. I love their prime rib and happy hour. I’ve personally have always experienced good service and parking is a breeze.

I LOVE this place. The view of the river is spectacular! The service was incredible. The Christmas decorations were beautiful! The food was amazing!!! There wasn’t anything I didn’t like. I loved how it seemed like an upscale restaurant, but there was a small bar with sports on tv right there too. At first I felt under dressed, having been shopping most of the day, but the staff still treats you wonderfully! I love that its in the heart of The Mill District. I’ll definitely return!

Wonderful. I had the sirloin steak, but you would have thought it was a rib eye by the great flavour it had. We are eating Paleo right now and they were acvomodating with switching the potatoes /rice with a really nice salad. My husband prawns were mouthwatering good as s his steak. They served seasonal vegetables which was zucchini, yellow squash, H bridal sprouts and carrots with onions cooked al dente. Mice. The wait staff has a waiter and an assistant for you so they make sure your water glassine full of of you need anything they are there for you. The manager came by twice to make sure that everything was up to our standards and liking. Would recommend this place to all.
